I caved and bought both before work since the PSN store will probably change over before I get home from work. I'm hoping we'll get another 99 cent flash sale like we got last summer. But if we do, it'll be a Christmas miracle. Maybe if we all believe at once, Rogue Legacy would be offered at that price!
 
I just hope we get a really great sale this week. I havent bought a single game this month. I hoped that many launch PS4 games will be on sale, but $20 for Second Son was too much. I'm in for $10 for Knack, Killzone Shadow Fall, BF4, Ghosts, Second Son, Rivals, Thief, MGS5 GZ, Hobbit...

 
I want a great price on Black Flag. Or maybe a really great price GTA V. With the amount of time my kids are around it will take me 6 years to complete the story lol

 
Well even if this week ends up another dud for me, I'm still hyped for the sale.  The blog guys said there were classic games (PS1, PS2 or both) coming one of the weeks so I'm expecting some stuff this week.

If it ends up another bad sale week I'm actually fine with that.  It's not like I have a shortage of stuff to play.  My PS3 systems are packed with tons of games I own but have yet to play.   So most purchases are just adding to the stockpile.

Honestly, I have never experience any such thing you're describing. Try rebuilding your data base if you're having problems with your Playstation.

The ps4 store rarely loads after doing stuff for me and infinite loading when checking out. web store is fine. There are other issues but i wont bother lol

 
I agree about the PS3... it's the most bang for buck out there.  I bought two systems last black friday and in one year I've built a massive collection of quality games to play for very little.   The closest experience I've had to this was when I got my Dreamcast right before they cancelled the system completely.   The next year of buying bargain games and beyond was heavenly.  Most games on that system were at least good though... so quality really shined through.   Still, PS3 features and software really makes it jump way up my list of favorite systems ever.  Until it has Shenmue 1 & 2 though, it can't beat the DC.

Neither have I. The PS3 store is slow, but that's because they're trying to do way too much. Just use the webstore and push anything you want to your ps3 and you can avoid all issues.

As for the PS4, the store is fast, sleek, and very useable. I don't love the interface (tiles, etc) but that's what all the cool kids clamored for so whatever.

The vita store is great, if a bit oddly organzied at times. It's probably my favorite store if only because all I really want are alphabetical lists of games.

I still mostly just buy from the webstore and push to my devices, though. It's fast, easy, and handles all platforms.

I do all my transactions on the web store also. This is mostly because I only purchase games and don't actually play them, so it's much more convenient than having to turn on my console just so I can buy stuff.

Yikes- nothing for me during week 4 except maybe Peggle 2 for $4.80.  Now to buy Child of Light for $7.49 before the store updates...

 
I've gotten 0 Steam games and 0 PSN games this holiday season. How disappointing.

Dangan Ronpa 2 is on sale, but it's not even a good one.

Edit: I'm actually tempted by Elementary. Have them on DVD already, but $20 for each season in HD.

What a way to go out with a whimper. This sale has been mostly disappointing. Only thing that tempts me this week is Danganronpa 2, but $24 isn't a great deal either. 

 
Oh so disappointing.  Now the only thing left to do is wait to see what the free games for January are going to be.  I wonder when they will actually announce it since we won't get them for 2 more weeks.  Maybe we'll get lucky and they'll have a good Christmas or New Years flash sale.

$12 Battlefield 4 for the PS4 is a great deal.  Can anyone with the Premium comment on whether the extra maps are worth it?  $12 for the base game or $30 for the Premium edition?

And $20 for AC: Black Flag, a game that was out a year ago?  Lol.......

I had the game, but sold it awhile ago. I can definitely tell you that if you plan on playing BF4 frequently you will definitely want the extra maps. If you just want to play around with it for a little while then I'd stick with the vanilla version for $12. Otherwise you will be kicking yourself when you go to buy the maps later for full price.
