It was smart to remove kinect as that was a reason a lot of people wouldnt buy one, myself included.

Dont see me ever buying one at this point, but I might in a few years when its a lot cheaper and has some exclusives I want to play.
Fetch is sooooo....Fetching...

She doesn't even have to pay me, I'll do it pro boner! yuk yuk

I went back and forth on the bottom 3, but in the end I think it does have to be Halo: MCC. Master Chief's the closest thing to an Xbox mascot and this was one of their flagship Xbox One titles for the holiday. The reason it is one of their most popular franchises is because of multiplayer and to have it not work at all at launch and not properly for months after that is just fuck ing stupid. Halo is one of ONLY things the Xbox One has going for it and a self-inflicted wound like that is only going to dampen enthusiasm for Halo 5 (which is by the same developer).

Taking out kinect later when they said they couldn't looked bad, but was a smart business decision because Kinect sucks and no one wanted to pay an extra $100 for it. Overpaying for Minecraft is probably a silly business decision, but it's just money something Microsoft has a lot of, and I am sure they could pawn the company off on someone else as long as they got out before Minecraft completely imploded.

Yeah at launch I was in a 1 bedroom apartment and no easy way to setup a Kinect. Also no desire. I sold my Kinect off my 360 without even connecting it. I could see me buying one when they are cheaper and for some exclusives but I am trying not piss away money on a 4th gaming console just for a handful of games. I looked at the exclusives from last gen and it was less then 5 each on Sony and Microsoft that I cared about. Paying hundreds for a console plus, renewing my Live sub doesn't really sound like something I want to do anytime soon. Maybe a really good BF deal one year. Probably wait till at least a redesign.

This is the hardest vote of all for me. They were all so stupid. But for me it has to be Halo MCC. That game was a console seller, and the fact that it's still not working great and they're still giving refunds for it is just hilarious to me. And this is on a remaster, no less. Not even a new game or anything.
I Voted for removing Kinect because it was classic Microsoft trying to tell people what they need and want.

If that POS wasn't in the box for $100 more I might have bought a XBox One. Or I might have waited a bit to see how everything shook out. But for $100 less and no mandatory Kinect it made me excited to pre order the PS4. If they were both $499 out of the gate I would have likely waited.

Dont see how it can be anything other than MCC. The others were bad to an extent, but ultimately had some positives (Minecraft is still in the air, but there is still a chance).

There is no reason MCC should be broken:
- Touted as a system seller
- Biggest franchise for Microsoft and one of the biggest in gaming
- 3 of the games were basically rereleases with the only one having really been touched was Halo 2
- Since the Xbox One announcement, we have heard of "power of the cloud" and "500,000 servers"
- Microsoft is well off financially and throws that money at any and all problems

...and its broken...still.

Jeff Gerstmann put it best on the 3 step process on why MCC should work:

1. Your rich Microsoft
2. This is Halo
3. Make it work

http://www.engadget.com/2015/01/22/apple-watch-battery-life/#continued

Well duh, not unless there is some sort of breakthrough in battery tech, of course its going to be on par with other smart watches.

Had a moto 360 since launch and I get about 2 days worth of use, though I charge it almost every night.

They are not for everyone but I find it very useful.
Yeah I don't wear a watch and other then maybe a year or two of my life never did. I was very hard on them (broke the few I did have).

At first I thought the whole smart watch was just lame. I do have to say the Moto 360 seems pretty cool but I doubt I will buy one anytime soon if ever. Maybe if a decent one ever hit $99 or so I could see me getting one to mess around with.
I got a Samsung Gear Live for Christmas, it wasn't something I asked for...just a surprise gift. I don't normally wear a watch so it's kind of weird but it can be useful at times. I get about 2-3 days as well out of it. It seems like it's about 60% there in terms of usability...guessing it will keep improving over time. I have a feeling people will buy the apple watch just as a status symbol, or fashion accessory more than anything anyway.

I voted for Kinect...that shit is lame as fuck. I never had the 360 one and I won't buy an X1 but can't believe they bet the farm on that crap.

I'm up to Chapter 14 or 15 in Uncharted 3 now. Whoa Whoa whoa, oh excuse me I just slipped on a rusty pipe that broke and had to climb to safety. Carry On.

Still enjoying the game. I wonder how you guys platinum these games...I feel like the games are like summer blockbusters in a way...seems like it would lose it's appeal if you are collecting everything etc. Or maybe they are just so good you want to keep playing. I guess I'm just not a platinum trophy kind of guy. Maybe I will be when I finish up my backlog in 2030.

EDIT: Hat-Trick posting machine!

We're making a version of Cartwheel to work on the Apple Watch so we'll be getting one in the office to test on.  I'm excited to play with it, but can't see me actually buying one with my own money anytime soon.  Especially with it probably being the same price as that mystical PS4 I hear you people talking about.

Saw this on le reddit, thought it was pretty funny way of announcing a pregnancy.

As probably the only person in here who owns MCC, your guys assessment is way overblown. For two or three weeks multiplayer didn't work. Period. That sucked and was a major fuck up on their part. But after that it did work, it just took longer than most games to find a match. Within another week or two another patch came out and you could find a game much easier. I've had 0 problems with it since. It's actually been my most played game of the holiday releases by a large margin.

I'll vote Kinect only because we all knew it was bullshit from the get go (just like always online was required). Doesn't bother me, though. I like Kinect implementation in certain situations.

Edit: And I've said it before, but the redone Halo 2 campaign is amazing. Definitely my favorite remaster/remake to be done by anyone. That worked day 1.

I read tons of issues about checkpoints not working and causing the game to crash during the Halo 2 campaign at launch too.

A few of us were talking about how you needed a PS4 so you could bull shit with us in party chat last night. Make it so!

I really like how TrueTrophies does their GOTY and TOTY voting.

They only allow you to choose games that you have as played on your profile that were released in 2014, so no chance of picking something you didn't play or that didn't come out this year.

Good categories too with best trophy name, most original trophy, most fun trophy, and most proud trophy.

Yeah, you're right. I almost forgot the checkpoint thing. It would basically only save your progress to the start of each chapter. Unfathomable that they would miss something like that in any sort of QA testing, but still not the sort of disaster you guys are making it out to be (especially since you can suspend games on the Bone a la Vita).

Yeah, you're the reason I assumed it was just fixed. based on your comments and watching you play for a while the other day it seemed fine.

Tell the Gamegravy boss to get you one as a business expense. You did drive a lot of traffic when you wrote that editorial.
I've been trying to get him to get Sony or some other pub to send me one to review games since it launched. Not enough traffic for that kind of love yet. Hopefully being on GameRankings (and hopefully MetaCritic soon) will help.

Regarding Minecraft. There are a lot of things like stuffed animals, Lego sets, etc., that they sell a lot of too. Not sure all that crap adds up to billions, but maybe?

If it worked as you say it does for you for everyone, there wouldn't be a multiplayer beta 3 months after release.

Looks super fake to me. The branding is on the side and when vertical you would insert the disc on the top. Neither of those make any sense to me.
Not to mention in the side by side comparison, it looks like someone shrunk the original pic down, moved the PS logo to the top and eliminated the light. Also, if it had that slanted parallelogram shape it has in the first pic, it doesn't look like it would lay vertically on its side in a stand without toppling over. Finally, where are the USB ports?

Holy shit, I DID IT!

LBP Vita Marvel and DC Packs are back on the PSN Store it looks like:

https://store.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com/#!/en-us/littlebigplanet-ps-vita-marvel-arcade-pack/cid=UP9000-PCSA00017_00-LBPDLCMARVVB0001

https://store.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com/#!/en-us/littlebigplanet-ps-vita-dc-comics-premium-level-kit/cid=UP9000-PCSA00017_00-LBPDLCWBDCLK0002

They also re-added the Online Pass which wasn't even available to buy for a while.  I'm gonna buy that Marvel pack with my 10% off code.  It's like 30 trophies added and LBP DLC very rarely goes on sale.
