Yea, I have a GH in that spot on one of my characters. Don't have the heart to shard it, but it beats losing it in order to hold another blue engram...

 
Jeez, now I'm seeing talk of a Queen's Favor item.  Looks awfully familiar to the original QW event.

Wonder if that'll give us those mini-NF type bounties.

 
Sounds like Raid and Nightfall reset won't be happening at 2am... it's gonna get rolled in with the HoW release at 10am.

Guess I won't bother staying up late then.

Ya dont say....Looks like I'll just finish filling my inventory with engrams and call it then. I did manage to get a single Key from a chest....after a double dip even (which btw: to double dip on chests, just go to another zone and backtrack to chest. can loot it again).

*edit* Another double-dib, another key!

Got my Salvage trophy and Plat'd the game :D/ .

Never planned on it until I noticed how  fuck 'g close I was to finishing them all

 
I got a total of 4 keys now. My vault is full of engrams, each character is full of engrams, and each character has 20 engrams in the post master. LOL First thing i need to do is go to the cryptarch tomorrow. Man i cant wait.

Got a new shotty from salvage something like no invitation..purples were dropping every match but I only played 3 since it's so late...now have 3 keys and two purples to decode.
 
Crap lost 2 Vexes that were in my post master  :wall: . Got 2 keys and 2 legendaries last night and somehow finished my bounties for Petra (thanks Arjay & 7th). I need to keep better track of the freaking post master tough  :bs:

 
I thought when TDB came out the NF and weekly were both Omnigul and we were locked out until we finished the story missions anyways?  Or am I not remembering correctly?  They said that the NF and weekly would be different starting with HoW so that people who don't have the DLC won't be locked out of both on a given week.

Nope you are right. I still have to complete the story missions on either Titan or Warlock so I always have to ask someone to get me into the NF or Weekly (even daily) :whistle2:

 
OK... it's been 10am PST for a while now.  Where are all the PoE posts!

I can't be jealous if you don't post... ;)

In other boring news, I managed to get 1 key last night.  2 hours of camping Skywatch for ... One ... Key ...

There's also a purple engram in my postmaster, but not sure if it's HoW or an old type.  I'll find out tonight.

Oh and I've got a buttload of spinmetal... so much spinmetal.

Got 2 unascended Legendary HoW weapons from blue engrams earned via Queen's Wrath. I sharded a 30 light Helm of Inmost Light and ascended my Glasshouse from 36 to 42. Played through 3 story missions. Assuming we get the armor core for finishing them all, and can then buy the gauntlets from the one guy in the Reef.
 
I did 1 nightfall and then the full queens wrath story missions through the strike with my hunter. We got prison of elders unlocked and almost started doing that (you can only start it at 28 I guess until you beat it?) but decided to get some food and then do nightfalls on our other characters to try for more exotics and get it out of the way. I got a Plan C from nightfall and they give you the side arm during the story stuff. I leveled it all the way by passing it off to my other two during the other two nightfalls. I like it. It shoots super fast. I got a patience and time and then a legendary machine gun for my last two nightfalls. The legendary of course was the same f'n gun I was using that I got from an engram earlier. RNG is still a joker. I played for like 5+ hours or more and am taking a break before I do more queen bounties to get it up to 2 and then run weeklies and the daily crucible stuff to get coins. I'm up to like 13 of those osiris coins. I wish I didnt suck at crucible or I'd be more excited for friday. I'll probably spread out the other story missions some. Doing it with three people was fun and it went by pretty fast. Doing it alone is going to be slow going because of the numbers of enemies and the high level of them. 

I leveled up dead orbit a bunch hoping for a shader but got a couple guns and titan armor (I use dead orbit on my hunter snarf snarf).

I do like rerolling the legendaries though. Between the engrams and leveling dead orbit I have probably 7 new weapons already. Seems like I got mostly shotguns and machine guns. I did get the dead orbit scout, fusion, and auto rifle already. So thats cool. 

I sharded a lot of my doubles of exotics to get them up to the new level and to make vault space. Most of them never came out of storage anyway.  I also sharded a lot of 3rd and 2nd guns from raids to make space. 

Hows everyone else doing?

 
Are Vanguard & Crucible armors and weapons available for purchase immediately?

I think I'll want to buy some stuff first & start leveling it right away

 
Leveled all my factions and cryptarch on all 3 characters and ended up getting The Ram and a handful of new legendaries. I also got ACD/O Feedback Fence from the Nightfall. I beat the level 28 and 32 versions of PoE and got a fusion rifle and then I bought the gloves with the armor core to hit 33. About to start working on my Titan now.

Yes, but they're only 36 light each unless you earn Etheric Light to ascend them to 42. New vendor gear will only get you to level 32, and I'm guessing you're already there.

Ah... I thought they were going to have gear that let you hit at least light level 33. So much for that idea.

I'd rather spam PoE to try and get Queen's armor then

 
Im getting back on in a few if anyone wants to do anything...I'd kind of like to run the raids sometime for the exotic chances, but I think everyone is preoccupied with the new shit for awhile :)

If no one is around I'll probably just knock out the daily crucible thing on the other two characters and run weekly heroics just to get it over with. Running it with randoms should prove...interesting.

 
Oh and just a heads up. You don't get a key for beating 28 or 32, so if you're like me and can't get any to drop from the chests you might want to save the free one you get. I thought I would get one for beating the 32 PoE, so I used it on the 28 and couldn't open the big chest when I beat the 32.
 
I got a purple key off of a chest on the moon. Where do I take it for the reward please? I'm only lvl 31

Tukai, the key opens the main chest in the treasure room after you beat any level of PoE.

Also, according to reddit you can get keys at the end it's just not guaranteed and no one in my fireteam got one.
 
It's crazy how much better this expansion is compared to TDB. Story missions and strike were awesome. Prison is awesome. Reforging is so addicting. I got a Deadshot Luna with full auto and spray and play, but I think I'm going to reforge again to try and get something other than spray and play.
 
Good grief. I've spent most of my time so far just organizing everything. I think I ended up decrypting close to 150 rare and 8 legendary engrams today between my three guardians. Along with cleaning out and breaking down exotic and legendary weapons that I probably won't ever use. Then trying to decide what exotics to upgrade for now. 

I had to use some marks so I bought the Pest Control Matrix auto rifle (reforged it later to get Focused Fire and Hidden Hand) and the 55A-allFATE pulse rifle (I wanted to try out the Grave Robber perk) from the Vanguard Quartermaster. I also bought the Deadshot Luna SR1 scout rifle (kept it at stock for now) from Dead Orbit. 

I also got The Fear rocket launcher from a legendary engram and reforged it. I ended up settling on Hard Launch, Army of One, Heavy Payload, and Tracking with Arc damage. Reforging is a blast now that it doesn't cost 2 motes of light. The Low-Grade Humility dropped in a Crucible match. It looks alright and it might be fun to reforge later.

CartSlave got The Ram already? Damn, that thing looks awesome. I'm curious how good the Strength of the Ram perk will be.

I've barely touched the story missions but I'm pretty impressed so far. The new Crucible maps are really good too. I agree with ProfessorStotch, this expansion is vastly better than TDB. I'm having a lot of fun with it and can't wait to try the Trials of Osiris out this weekend. 

 
Had a good day today.

Nightfall i got 9 strange coins, Etheric Light, and THE RAM warlock helmet! The one exotic i really wanted out of this DLC!

We did the prison of elders on 28 and i got a No Land Beyond, and another key. Then we did it on 32 and i got other stuff not that great. 28 level was a cake walk. 32 was more of a challenge but it wasnt too bad.

Used my commendations up and ended up getting a 2nd New Monarchy Shader Nefertiti AK, my 3rd and 4th FWC shader of Babylon 9191 :wall: , but then i went one more time with FWC and got the Tyre 4770 shader! Boom!

Right before i turned the game off i went to forgotten shore and caught the wolfpack and got the chest twice and ended up getting another key on the second grab!

As for the DLC story, i liked it. It took us about 4 hours to do it all. We did stop and hunt the queen bounties though. The nightfall was a fun strike that i wouldnt mind playing in the future. We wiped once on our first run, but after that we were able to beat it without that much trouble. Patience and time wrecked the boss at the end of our last nightfall for me.

Overall today was an exciting and fun day.

Got all the story missions done on the hardest difficulty. Not the strike, though. Everything was doable solo except the final mission. Then played through PoE on Level 28.

I jumped into a Nightfall at the very end. Both the Nightfall and PoE gave me Legendary weapons. I'm not sure in which activity I earned it, but I had my second Hawkmoon waiting for me with the postmaster.

Didn't get to finish any bounties for House of Wolves yesterday, though.

You don't get keys guaranteed from any of them though they can be part of the small chest rewards. Don't count on it though - go into it with a key if you want to be sure to open it. That even goes for the Level 35. I have a friend who beat that and didn't have a key to open the big chest there even!

But I also wouldn't worry too much about it. The main reward from the level 32 is the armor core which currently (this week) gets you max level gloves from Veriks and puts you at Light Level 33 assuming you ascended an exotic. The big chest is really just extra stuff. I opened 4 of them (2 x 28, 32, and 34) and my best rewards came from the first level 28 I did. I got a Thunderlord and one of the new legendaries. I only got legendaries from the 3 other chests - nothing special really.

The only key chest that has unique stuff is the level 35 so make sure you have a key for that. My friend said the other 2 guys (who had keys with them) both got a shader, ship, and emblem - so it is sort of like beating Crota for the first time with special rewards.

Yep, no guarantees - I didn't see anyone in my 4 runs get a key at the end. You cannot go back and loot it - once you leave PoE you have to start over. Though you could run it again and open the chest at the end of that run.

I haven't finished the new story mode (I think I am close). Do I have to complete that to access the Prison of Elders? I am just stuck on lvl 31 and it's bugging the hell out of me. I think I have 1 piece of gear that is still 33 light keeping me from moving up.

Use your Vanguard/Crucible marks to purchase armor from the vendor. They start at light 36 (which will make you a 32...assuming you have enough marks).

That's insane and amazing. Damn, I still need all three of those. Some people just have all the luck it seems. Here's hoping I can get just one of those to drop when I get around to doing the Nightfalls later.

Legendary weapons seem to be raining down in the Crucible right now. I've received five different weapons thus far and a few appear to have very similar stats to IB weapons. Playing around with the reforging minigame should be fun.

I thought I was doing 3x crota last night so I left after deathsinger to slip a different character in to get the check point. Asshats finished it before I could get back in and then quit after crota...so I missed one chance at an exotic and didnt get another last night. Dicks.

 
gah! just ran the nightfall with some randos and we decided to try lvl 32 PoE. After a few hours and many, many, deaths (we pulled the Cabal guy for the last mission with his millions of helpers.) we quit. 

If anyone is up for it later, I'm game.

(The Fear rocket launcher, 2 purple pulse rifles, Patience & Time, Young Ahamkara's Spine)
