Because any VAT or tax over there is removed from the price (as its already included in Amazon listing prices over there).

You know shipping isn't free for international orders on Amazon.co.uk? You're going to pay shipping on this, and the game you get will be worthless to NA users (including yourself). Seems like a huge waste of money, paying almost $100 just to get a steelbook and a different box. But whatever, its your money <shrug>

Best Buy STILL doesn't have the Animal Crossing Happy Home Designer Bundle w/ NFC reader and it comes out it only 1 week. What the heck lol

Shit, I didn't even look at the picture. Seems like a potential price screw up? I just saw the price and assumed it was the bundle with the NFC thing.

Why does everyone not understand that the shipping was already included in that price? Its not the first time I've ordered from foreign amazon sites before. They make you choose your shipping price at the time of the order :facepalm:

Its not $100. It's $82 AFTER currency conversion. And I can sell the sealed disc overseas (or over here) to recoup some of that. But yeah, still, $80 is a bit much for an artbook, a steelbook, a box, and a double-sided poster. But guess we'll see how it goes.

Yeah, none of those items have been listed on Best Buy yet, but they did put up a few Nintendo items today so there is hope.

Thanks, gonna go ahead and buy the EU version just for the steelbook. Will have to double dip here and get NTSC-U version of the game too. $100+ for a game and a steelbook is not exactly what I had in mind, but it will have to do.

 
By the way, I'm sure y'all realized this, but that BBY image for HHD is obviously a mistake - the "what's included" only lists the actual bundle items (i.e. the game + reader) but nothing else.

Probably someone pulled that placeholder image ahead of time.

If anyone is brave enough to fight w/ a CSR to change it for the same price tag whenever the preorders go live, I commend you heavily.

BB doing that weird new listing shipping bug where they charge for standard shipping.   Usually fixed pretty quick, might lock in an order then re-order when it seems to be working again (and cancel old one).

the whole system is screwed up. can't access reward certs, it couldn't estimate tax, and was charging shipping.  I just ordered one to get it in. I'll fix all that later

 
Thanks OP!  My order charged shipping and cannot currently calculate the tax, I'll get it fixed later if it does not get corrected.  I did not want to risk missing this one over $5, these sold out pretty quick on Amazon.

Hmmm I have $30 in reward certificates but can't seem to access it when trying to order this. Anyone else having this issue?
 
I was told by a BB CSR that their systems are being updated right now which explains a lot of errors (shipping charges, no tax, etc)

Although she couldn't make any adjustments to the order due to the ongoing update, I was told to call back at a later time to have my shipping charges removed.

 
Stupid shipping charge.  Placed an order but will either have to order again and cancel when they fix the shipping charge issue, or call them to remove the shipping charge.

Most of the import reviews (outside of Kotaku, from a guy who didn't like the first game) have been very positive as well.

I'm really looking forward to this, but just can't decide on the Collector's or the Regular edition.

 
Ordered mine just now.  Initial checkout had shipping charge but during payment info and final place order, it said free shipping and there was no charge.

 
Does anyone really think this will sellout? I mean, within the next few hours or days? Being from Nintendo it seems like it would, but, as far as I know, GameStop has had it in stock for weeks.
