I know the Star Wars prequels weren't that great, but anyone who criticizes any artist (director, writer, painter, game designer, etc) for making something based on their vision, rather than just catering to what people expect of them is more than stupid.

If Lucas made a Star Wars film with only things fans wanted to see, he'd be criticized for catering to fans and not following his vision. And then people would be on the internet saying it was too formulaic and generic.
 
Maybe they just dont play their old songs that much or something anymore, but if this GH live/iHeartRadio performance is any indication, Weezer fuckin sucks live.

I saw them like a month ago and they played all their old hits. The 2 times I've seen them they were really good, but they seem to keep it very safe by playing only their hit songs. I wish I could see them play a bunch of Pinkerton or other deeper cuts.

I've seen them live and they're awesome live. The new songs just don't compare to the old songs.

yeah i got a good deal on alimony for only 2 years. I am also paying a lot less than other guys I have heard of. I think some dudes get screwed cause they are stupid and dont know what they are doing. Or let the wife take em for a ride.

She did get a job which helped lower the $ amount per month. I was ready to pay for 3 years though...maybe 4 but they come out the box with 2 and I was giddy. Not sure how I kept my poker face with that one. I never win at poker.

I'm in for some more RDR MP. I'll probably be on tonight. We don't have any NYE plans, so if I get I'll post in here.

That was fun yesterday once we all got into a good lobby. The best part was when Zimm yanked Crazy out of the carriage driver's seat because he got the carriage stuck in the trees. Too bad the PS3 doesn't have the Share functionality of the PS4; it would have made for some good laughs in here.

Yeah, two years is a helluva bargain. How long were you married for? The alimony laws in South Cackalaky suck. My dad was in the Navy for 24 years, and he and my mom got divorced after 22 years of marriage. She gets half of his Navy retirement for the rest of his life, even though she's been remarried for 20 years.

Almost 10 years. That doesnt seem right. Why wouldnt they split what was in there when they split? Why should she keep getting more as time passes?

No I was driving and got shot off the carriage. Then we had to stop to revive me, and when I got back on zimm pulled me off, and he ran us into the trees where we lost most of our horses!

Military retirement is a pension. My dad gets 60% of his final military pay grade, annually, for the rest of his life; I think that's right. I actually think the part where my mom gets half of that for the rest of his life is stipulated by the military and not South Carolina, but I do know that SC alimony laws still suck. I think the most common type pursued is periodic permanent alimony which means that the spouse gets alimony payments until the payee dies. I'm pretty sure that in recent years it was changed so that it ended if the spouse got remarried, but it wasn't always that way. I think even today if the the spouse never remarries they can keep collecting alimony forever.

Permanent alimony was common in most states for long term marriages, 24 years may be long term. But those laws are changing. Many states are getting away from permanent alimony since women actually have opportunities to work now whereas in the past the men worked and women didnt. Alimony served a purpose in the old days but now its not as needed since women usually work.

 
I think we may have lost our Lego Dimensions progress.  When we go to boot the game it can't connect to the Lego Dimensions servers and when we load our save (with the correct time played info) it puts us right back at the very very beginning with none of our levels or stuff unlocked.  Worked fine when he was playing earlier this afternoon.  I don't think the server connection should affect that, but maybe?  I don't know.  Kid's pretty upset about it.

And to top it off, apparently my game saves haven't uploaded since 12/21 or so, so I can't download an old file since we started the game after that.  Checked the system setting and the option is greyed out, but checked.

Whats happening!

Yeah, the half is stipulated by the military. Its the after remarriage part that I was surprised with.

 
Also whose idea was it to have the playoff games start so early today?  fuck man.  They could have had the games on New Years Day or the weekend for fucks sake!  The championship game isnt for another 12 or 13 days!

The best was also when we only had 5 cows left and we were all anxious as hell cuz we didn't wanna redo the whole level ;)

yeah totally wish we could stream rdr, its up there with gta v as fantastic immersive impromptu wtf moments

4, 6 does it really matter?

Sleeping Dogs is so much more fun. Knack is just dumb and can be frustrating in some parts. Also I said fuck no to the plat because one of the trophies requires random drops that are like 1 in a million. Dumb game all around although not technically broken.
