Posting as it’s own topic for those that don’t visit the Gs thread. Kingdom Hearts 3 PS4 Pro bundle announced today for the US and is a GameStop exclusive. Bundle comes with custom console, KH3 themed controller, physical copy of the game, and an exclusive PS4 theme/keyblade. Preorder page does not say Online Only, so you may be able to reserve one in-store.

Wasn't really too much packaging, but at least the box wasn't overly big (i.e. it would have been bouncing around).

The last thing I tried to flip locally was the Mario themed new 3ds that was available Black Friday 2016. Got some real nice people texting me. Haven't flipped anything since. Will just sell it used when the PS5 comes out (if it's actually backwards compatible). Most people are crazy, so don't think it's worth it either.

The only reason I jumped on it right now was with best buy GCU and the $10 extra back. I'll keep it sealed for now since I have six weeks to return/price adjust if need be.

That may be your store screwing up. It's plentifully available from best buy's website and at every gamestop store.

I agree. I'm just making a point in that it's called the deluxe edition, so it probably isn't limited. I do want my 'collector's editions' more limited though, as then what's the point of collecting if an item is massively produced. I think this is price to high though. Sekiro is $90 and includes a lot of physical items. This steelbook/artwork should have been a pre-order elusive or day one edition at the same price.

Almost every BBY in LA and OC counties in California shows earliest pickup is February 7th. The supply chain at Best buy is truly f'd.

Ships immediately from Best Buy and in store pick up available at all stores within 100 miles from me by Feb 2.

I mean Sekiro is also one of the top 5 deals I've probably ever seen all time in a CE. Holding anything else up to that is pretty silly, getting a statue, a steelbook, an artbook, and a letter opener for $90 is absurd.

I preordered it day one before the letter opener existed and did think it was a good deal. I'm just hoping, though I am expecting, the statue to come out like the Marvel vs Capcom egg fiasco, or Fallout 76 nylon bag.

 
To anyone that got the console and opened it... Is the theme and keyblade a code in the Standard game, on a separate sheet of paper or already preloaded in the console?

I presume the console edition comes with the game in a plastic case. That irks me to no end, got the God of War PS4 Pro and no steelbook inside. The only way to get that at the time was to buy a second copy, and only in the collectors edition at $150. Still don't have that steelbook to this day.

 
I’ll be getting minw this weekend. What sucks to me (besides the GS fiasco ) is that EU gets the deluxe edition while the US gets the regular edition. Like i had the deluxe preordered but had to cancel since Im getting the system.

I made that mistake once already when I sold off MHW from the Rathalos edition PS4 figuring the code for the theme was somewhere else in the box LOL.

This time figured I would check the case BEFORE I go to sell the game this time. Totally agree on it not making sense to include just the default base version. (Bought Deluxe on 1X).
 
I still have the console pages open and occasionally press f5 expecting that add to cart button to light up. At what point shall I just let it go:)

 
to people mentioning The Story So Far, I saw a lot of copies in store at walmart while deal hunting earlier, posted the BS link in that thread

I agree. I was telling my fiance how people were spending absurd amounts of money on the Kingdom Hearts PS4. This generation is coming to a close soon, and I'm not the biggest Kingdom Hearts fan either. I'm also not a fan of limited consoles, but this whole thing is a mess.

It seems to be delisted on the site. I have seen copies in the 3 Walmarts I've been to in the last week, but they were not available via the website. brickseek was wrong on one walmart, saying it was out of stock, but they had one.
 
Yes but it's Japanese. I don't believe US DLC will work on it and I read somewhere that the X and O buttons are reversed in menus. Really tempted on it but the DLC thing bothers me.

The only DLC is a theme and keyblade, so at least it's not like a season pass or something.

US DLC might not work on the Japanese game, but should work on the system itself if you were playing a US copy of the game

It seems. I decided to try Kingdom Heart and think my son will enjoy it, but I haven't played one since the first on PS2. So I ordered "Story So Far" and part 3 from Best Buy. "Story So Far" was available for store pickup only, and most stores did not have any - in fact the first store I picked later sent an email saying they didn't have it and I had to pick a further away store. I noticed it is only available from third party sellers on amazon for $85+, so GCU $32 is still a pretty good deal even having to drive an extra 20 miles each way (even though it was probably on sale for BF had I gotten it then).

Any pictures? As in did it come in an original factory box or did they transfer and ship it? I had a pre-order that shipped (console only). Twas online with confirmation email at 803 central - does that mean I got lucky?

At this point I think it's safe to say anyone who got the console falls into the lucky category. And the system came in just a normal box just big enough to fit the system. Didn't really provide any extra padding but thankfully Sony has gotten pretty good at packing these over the years and there is a ton of natural protection in the foam around the console.

 
I had to re-route the one being delivered to my house, as it's pissing rain and I don't want to risk it getting wet. Even though I changed delivery destination to the UPS store in the same city (that I know for a fact that truck will stop at 1-2 times today), it still delayed the delivery to Monday. Very frustrating!

Your probably just better off putting on will call and picking it up from the hub. I don’t know when you requested the change but it may still be in the drivers truck, that most likely created the delay.

Unfortunately collector items are rarely valuable / meaningful on a functional level. This is my 3rd ps4 pro. I certainly didn't buy it to have a console to play lol.

Ahhhh. I tend to cycle out and use them, then when the next one I want comes along sell the previous. Definitely not the proper way to do it I suppose, I just am not at the point yet where I can afford to have $1500-2000 of PS4's for display/collection purposes, though I wish I could!

So sorry to hear. I assume you were going to keep for collecting? How Bad? I got my box but couldn't open the shipping one (no time) but saw one corner was damaged of the shipping one so I know it won't be ideal inside ☹️

Looks like I forgot to update the shipping address for the Kingdom Hearts 3 pre order I made on amazon 4 YEARS AGO, so it was sent to an old address. It then went to the local post office, so I called them to have it forwarded to my new address. That was 4 days ago, and it still hasnt moved. To quote Leslie Knope, "Crap on the cob."

tl;dr Target in-store discount for KH3 game (may work for deluxe as well)

According to SD, there is an in-store promo at Target where you can get KH3-related items (a blanket, a pop, and other items) for free when you buy KH3 in the same transaction. Target typically makes an item free by discounting both item pro-rata (proportionate to their price). So if you get a $25 blanket for free with purchase of $60 game, then you'd pay $42.35 for the game and $17.65 for the blanket. Usually you can return the "free" item and keep the discount on the other item.

This is similar to what I did for b2g1 deals: in-store pickup for 2 items at one store, and 1 item and a different store, only pick up the 1 item for 33% off. Alternatively you could pick them all up and return the other 2 items.

Finally got a chance to unbox mine. Sorta disappointed by the art on the console. It looks like they were going for a leather bound book look, but it looks sorta crappy. Would have preferred smooth matte texture. MS surely would have made up some room between PS4 and XB1 sales had they tried to get a deal with Square to get a console bundle.

I honestly think that's the one of the best PS4 Pro systems. That and the 500 Million Limited Edition PS4 Pro. I didn't need a new PS4 at the time so I passed on it.

Would've loved to get an XB1 version of KH3, if possible. MS has been slacking on their limited edition consoles this generation, especially on the XB1X models.

It really is, I skipped because I didn't think that a pro seemed justified until Yakuza 6 came out by then it was too late.

I had the monster Hunter one and used it for about 6 months. It was sweet but it was a fingerprint magnet and it was incredibly hard to actually see the Rathalos decal on the system.

I have the KH one as well but honestly the one o wish I had was the GoW system, just because some color besides black is nice.

Completely agree on Microsoft though, it's ridiculous they've basically had practically zero special edition consoles this gen, and literally none on the X minus one that has project scorpio in tiny green print

Thanks for the verification! I actually have the system but wasn't sure if I wanted to keep it, but I've been waiting forever for a PS4 theme with KH music so this is finally giving me the motivation I needed to use it myself.

I can understand that. Side note. I remember reading somewhere that a guy bought a 500 Million PS4 Pro model, and it was defective within a week or so. He contacted Sony and he contacted Sony regarding repair service. He mentioned that if Sony had to replace the system, they would replace it with a standard PS4 Pro. I don't know what happened to that guy, but that alone makes me want to skip all limited edition consoles.

Gotta play the odds though, the PS4 at this point has made it the entire generation without a system wide RROD event. And at the tail end of a system they are using smaller components, generating less heat, very low chance of having a defective unit. And if by some stroke of bad luck you did have one, I think it would be easy to find someone locally who knows how to correct the 2 or 3 things that really can go wrong on a defective unit.
