I went to my FLGS and someone had their Switch 2 there hooked up to the big screen.
Smash ran smooth. TotK is actually playable now (IMO) and Pokemon S/V is as they say, a big improvement.
Unless there's a setting we missed, the thing pauses downloading while playing games, so I left before MKW was ready.
I'm not really excited how it feels. I've had slim handhelds before like it, being one of those who gets the Chinese retro handhelds. I prefer built in ergonomics (larger grips).
I don't like the way the shell feels, either.
Both would be replaced with a third party Joycon set. Seems like 8BitDo Ultimate controllers can't sync with it, either. Bummer.
The eShop is actually much more user friendly now. Still behind the times by a mile, but at least it doesn't chug and stutter!
Most of us agreed, even the owner, that it's just a bigger, faster Switch. If that doesn't immediately tickle your fancy to spend five bills, then probably wait.
They were all bummed when they went to the GC games and didn't see Pokemon Colosseum or Gale of Darkness available.
I can most definitely wait. My urge is in the "play Zelda at 60FPS and it's new and shiny." I'll look forward to hopefully more games later this year.
