Legend of Heroes VI: Trails in the Sky (TitS!) - Out now!

Call me crazy, but I loved the first trilogy of games we got. Especially a Tear of Vermilion, which is one of my favorite JRPGs ever. Yes, the translation was pretty awful, but c'mon, up to and including the PS1 era, we got terrible translations. But they're just so charming. And in Bandai's...

GOG.com Weekend Deal Nov 26-29: Age of Wonders, 30-50% off

They are pretty much unabashed Master of Magic clones more than anything else. Especially the third one (IIRC, the previous two didn't let you build cities anywhere you wanted).

    Tactics Ogre Rebuild Coming

It's going to be weird playing this with a different translation. Xytegenia? All the other ones used a Z

What's in the PSP's PS Store (6/2/11): The Laxative Edition

Hmmm, I have $1.22 left on my PSN account so Let's Golf is attractive. But I already have Pangya Golf I haven't even come close to finishing.

Worth picking up a PSP again?

If you sold it once, then no, don't get it again. You seem to only like AAA titles, it's not going to get many more of those. It has a great library, but not if you like the flavor of the month games (get a 360 for that).

    PSP-3000... Is it worth it?

Yes, unless you are a pirate, 3000 is the way to go. Frankly, the 1000 is a piece of junk. Heavy, horrible ghosting, bad d-pad. 2000 fixes most of those problems, but still has a ghosty screen. The 3000 fixes that and thanks to the oversaturated colors (which is quite noticeable if you try...

PSP Minis - Passed 1 Million Total Sales - 85 Total Minis

I think Tetris was probably either disqualified because it doesn't run on the PS3, or PS3 owners must buy a lot of Minis. On the face of it, it sounds impressive. But when you think about it more. 9 months, 85 titles, that's like an average of 12,000 sales each world wide. And when you factor...

    Gladiator Begins Demo Mini-Review

I had the completely opposite reaction. I was expecting it to be awful and was very pleasantly surprised. Especially by the graphics. Seriously, the NPCs look better than in Oblivion (okay, some of that is just design, but still, they've got fingers. That's impressive).

What's in the PSP's PS Store (6/2/11): The Laxative Edition

What's crazy is that a game from 2006 (Field Commander) is $9.99 on "sale". That should be the normal price (it's a Sony game for crying out loud). Then again, compared to Groovin' Blocks, I guess it's a bargain...

    psp Data install question

It really depends on the game. Some games it's just to speed up loading, but in others (Peace Walker and Mana Khemia) it adds voices as well.

Hot Shots Tennis: Get A Grip - June 29th, $19.99!

Well, golf is pretty much completely different than tennis (other than hitting a ball with something). Should have tried the demo first. It certainly is trickier than most other tennis games I've played, but I've had a lot of fun with it so far.

Another Example Of How Unpaid Hackers Are Smarter Then Developers

Uh, 6.30 had nothing to do with patching an exploit. If that were the case, it would have been released shortly after the 6.20 exploit was found. But instead they released it the same time the PS3 got an update for PSN+ And considering that no one in the West is making PSP games any more...

Neo Geo and TurboGrafx 16/PCengine games confirmed for PSP

Er, just because it's in the firmware doesn't mean it's confirmed. PC-Engine has apparently been in it for ages and nothing ever happened. Ditto with camera support. After what, 3 years of there being a camera folder in the pictures section, it's finally going to be released in NA later this...

What's in the PSP's PS Store (6/2/11): The Laxative Edition

Got one $20 card so I could buy Hot Shots Tennis; now I need to buy another to buy History Egypt, Stellar Attack and Midway Arcade Treasures.

    SCEA rejected Sakura Wars 1+2...

SCEA's approval process has grown more lenient as they've lost market share. Thus you saw Visual Novels (like the recent Disgaea infinite) and you saw some PS1-->PSP direct ports (like Harvest Moon), even though past straight ports like Breath of Fire 3 and Tales of Eternia and Suikoden 1&2 were...
