I don't really skip so much as come in late. Sometimes I want to sleep in, other times I'm eating breakfast and it's something not portable enough to finish in the car.

I have a good first impression from the game. The AI path whatzits is bad, but you can always micromanage. You'll get a lower completion time if you rush, but besides the S ranks there isn't much you lose if you take your time with each unit.

Can't help you... For the text heavy people I'm enjoying Heroes of Mana, but since that'll come over in English the one one I'm playing now that I'm pretty sure won't be localized is Doki Doki Majo Shinpan. Cute little renai/touch detective.

I've never used a screen protector and I have no major scratches. I bought my lite the first day it came out stateside. I'm the only one who uses it though and I'm pretty careful with it. Just use the stylus and keep your play area clear. I had a screen protector for my Palm pilot. Works...

Thanks for the corrections. Maybe there is a lack of AAA titles in the 3rd party... But if OP hasn't played them 3rd or not than why not take a look.

You don't have to update the files. The INI is only there if you change sound or default view options. You don't have to copy it over. DLDI patching is only important if you use a non-standard flash or HD device. In my case since I use the (please don't buy this unless saving 30~40 dollars...

I enjoyed DQM: Joker more than Rocket Slime, though I'd recommend Rocket Slime to a younger gamer. My favorite 3rd party game so far is: RPG: FFIII Rhythm: EBA or Ouendan 2 Story/Search: Hotel Dusk (Trace memory if you're 8-14yrs old.)

ComicBookDS is very good for all types of images. Lots of responsive view and zoom options. I had to patch DLDI to use, but the creator linked right to the FAT stack I needed. (Converter is windows friendly, don't know about any other OS)

For anything other than mp3s and videos I do not recommend this product. It'll work with homebrew, but it's not a fun experience. Only use this product if you need video and mp3 functionality on the cheap. Video are DS resolution. (One screen, no border) I compress anime episodes around...
