Hah, nah, I'm not a flipper. None of them will seek out deals like this, so if I wanted to get them playing with me before the eventually $40 deals for the game in a month or two, I figured I should get it for them. I only posted amounts to give folks and indication of what was out there.
Hey! Another St. Louis area CAG!
I grabbed the second to last 360 earlier this morning. Had to make a run from the one on K, to Chesterfield valley and finally to 141 and Clayton to get the 6 copies for my gaming group. Seems maybe all of the St. Louis/St. Charles area stores have a decent...
Visually, it's fantastic. Other than that, it's very linear with an interesting, if not mentally taxing, skills system. I bought it at full price on release and I wish I'd waited until it was around $5.
Found the following at Town and Country, Mo:
:ps3: Prince of Persia - $19.98 (4-5 copies)
:ps3: Endwar headset bundle - $44.** (4-5 copies)
:ps3: NCAA 09 - $7.49 (tons of them left)
:ps3: Tomb Raider: Underworld - $14.** (4-5 copies)
I picked up a copy of PoP.
Chesterfield, Mo. had a few of the GH Aerosmith bundles at $7.97. I got the last :ps3:, but I believe there was one:wii: and a couple :ps2:. They also had a few GH III bundles at $14.97, both :ps3: and :360:, which I skipped.
The worker seemed fairly knowledgeable, but he was pretty stunned...
The Sears in Cape Girardeau, Mo. is a CAGs wet dream. I saw one clearance tag on one game (:ps3: Incredible Hulk)...the rest looked like it hadn't been touched since it was put on the shelf. Things like :ps3: Oblivion: GOTY and :ps3: Burnout: Paradise were still marked at $59.99! I gotta...
Found :ps3: NBA Street Homecourt for $5.00 in Cape Girardeau, Mo. yesterday. The rest was similarly older sports titles and the inexplicable $25 "drop" on COD3.
Bought to last copies of following at Chesterfield, Mo. Sears today:
:ps3: Condemned 2 - $4.97
:ps3: Civ Rev - $9.97
Some other decent stuff there as well. I know I saw :ps3: Stranglehold and I'm pretty sure I saw :ps3: Folklore, but I don't recall prices exactly...no more than $14.97 each...
