I don't have Garry's Mod, but from what I know about the game, having CS:Source would just give you access to models and assets from that game. If you want them, then by all means, but otherwise, I'm not sure what other use it has. I can be completely wrong though.

Not exactly, but you get something like 10% extra points or credits with the Deluxe, which only lasts another year or 2 I believe. It's not for the life the system. You also get a charging cradle for the pad. And the console is black instead of white.

I haven't tried this myself and this is just a thought, but for the digital version, you can always back up your SD card to your PC. If you can find the Fire Emblem data folder, if there is one, you could always have multiple copies of the Fire Emblem save file (or rather, the entire game)...
