100 Greatest PS2 games of all time. Vote now! Give at least 10 games!

Still rocking the PS2, so I have yet to play a lot of the "classics" that would appear on legitimate lists. Came up with 35 worthy of ranking, and a slew of honorable mentions: 1. Guitar Hero 2. Viewtiful Joe 3. James Bond 007: Nightfire 4. Soul Calibur II 5. Rock Band 6. WWE Smackdown...

I haven't played all of them yet, but glancing over my collection just now, these caught my eye: Shadow Hearts Shadow Hearts: Covenant Shadow Hearts: From the New World Hot Shots Golf 3 Hot Shots Golf 4 Grandia Xtreme Grandia III The Mark of Kri Rise of the Kasai The Getaway Odin Sphere Rogue...

Do you own Jampack Vol. 14 for PS2? Quick Question

Both the Teen (blue/green background) and Mature (red/yellow background) Vol. 14's in my collection have the memory card holder, so you should be fine!

Backlog CAG Playthrough #1- Tales of the Abyss- Week 2

Great idea, but I'm currently on Tales of Legendia and likely won't start TotA for a long while...

    best skateboarding game?

Yea, although I haven't played an entry since American Wasteland, I agree that Tony Hawk's Underground was probably the series' peak on the PS2. A decent story, fun levels, and very little of the non-skateboarding junk that would bog down future installments... There were quite a few mediocre...

Anybody still playing PS2? What games are you playing?

Chipping away at my backlog this past month, finishing Whirl Tour, Sly Cooper and the Thievious Racoonus, and Rumble Roses. From those, I can only recommend Sly, which was easily worth the $5 it cost me a few years back... Currently working on Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock and Phantasy Star...

Anybody still playing PS2? What games are you playing?

Been chipping away at Dragonball Z Budokai 3, and even though the 'Dragon World' mode has a bare-bones presentation, it does bring back childhood memories of watching the TV show. Graphics top anything the first two games could do as well. Are the Tenkaichi games even worth playing after this?

    Cheap Case Variations Thread

I think every rock rhythm game after Guitar Hero Encore - Rocks the 80s comes in the cheap case, or at least, one without the memory card slot, so that'd include: Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock Rock Band Guitar Hero Aerosmith Rock Band Track Pack Vol. 1 AC/DC LIVE: Rock Band Track Pack Rock...

[POLL] In your opinion, is the PS2 dead?

Sony appears to be completely focused on the PS3, as I believe Twisted Metal: Head On - Extra Twisted Edition was their last first-party release for the PS2 and that was at the start of the year. Sony's website completely switching over to PSN last month also seems telling that they are moving...

Anybody still playing PS2? What games are you playing?

Dunno if it really counts, but I'm currently playing Star Ocean: The Second Story on my PS2, a PS1 game I snagged years ago but never finished. I've also gotten into a retro kick as of late running through Atari classics on Activision Anthology. With games getting more and more complex, it's...

    PS2 3-Game Packs @ $30 (Official List)

I was looking for this thread just the other day... A few more for the pile: Dragonball Z Trilogy http://www.amazon.com/Dragonball-Z-Trilogy-Playstation-2/dp/B001E3GAA6/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1222041629&sr=8-1 Onimusha: The Essentials...

    Rock Band instrument setup question

Can't help ya on using Singstar microphones, but looking on the back of the Rock Band box, it claims to support "Multitap (for PS2) - 3 Players". Though the wording is a bit odd for a four-player game, I take it that means two GH controllers and a regular controller for the mic (as crunchewy...

    RPG Recommendations/Discussion

I was also a Genesis kid, and I fondly recall playing the stellar Phantasy Star IV, that "other" big RPG released around the same time as CT... Finally played the PS1 Crono Trigger remake a few years ago, and it was actually to my benefit, as the loading times between fights that EVERYONE...

    Best E/E10+ PS2 family games?

The LEGO games immediately come to mind, as those are a blast for all ages. A friend and I recently finished LEGO Star Wars and will probably start on LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy soon. They recently released LEGO Indiana Jones, and I believe the Batman installment is gonna see a PS2...

    Best 4 player PS2 games

The X-Men Legends games were good fun with multiple people, assuming you can avoid the nagging glitches present in both titles. They're kind of like Diablo with superheroes, and I believe this same gameplay carried over to Justice League Heroes and Marvel: Ultimate Alliance as well, but I have...

What's the best Guitar Hero guitar?

From personal experience, the GH1 guitar (black w/cord) has endured a thrashing on the first, second, 80's, and Rock Band since 2005 and still functions quite well. The tilt-detection on it has been starting to fail over the past year, but I attribute that more to wear-and-tear than anything...

    RPG Recommendations/Discussion

Having only played the original quadrilogy (Infection/Mutation/Outbreak/Quarantine), my beef was just with how monotonously repetitive they were. I liked the faux-online setting and wanted to get into the story, but nearly every event trigger involves going to the bottom of some long dungeon...
