If you're new to the series or eventually want to have both at some point, I would recommend getting the first one. Regular price at Best Buy is $15. It should keep you busy while you wait for a price drop on the second one.

I'd estimate I get 4-5 hours playing games and watching movies but I've never really paid too much attention. To play it safe, I'd say bring your PSP for games and movies, and bring your mp3 player. Both of these are smaller than a portable dvd player.

Nice! I just traded in my ps2 and all the games for a ps3. I was sad to let go of GoWII but I just couldn't justify paying an extra $100 for BC to play one game. If/when GoWII comes out as a download, I'll be all set!

None of these bundles is really worth it to me. If I had to choose one though, I would go with the first one. But the only way to make that one worth it is to choose the Piano Black PSP. If you want the Daxter or Star Wars bundle, you're better off getting it on your own from any other store.

Thanks for the additional info on the file sizes. Good tip on the iPod Touch too. I didn't know the screen was better. Ultimately though, I still want to play games on the PSP. I guess what I meant to say was that I could never justify getting a PSP until I got on the portable video...

I don't have the first one so I'm thinking about getting this. Will you be able to play the campaign cooperatively over XBL? I know you can play co-op but I wasn't sure if that meant both players have to be on the same console.

I got a Fry's ad in the paper yesterday and it will be $159.99 for this weekend. It's a President's Day sale. Price is good Saturday through Tuesday. I'm not sure if it is nationwide but at the very least it is good for the Bay Area.
