Presuming that this is the same as the original SNES Star Ocean, one of my favorite things about it is the skill for learning to avoid random combat. It's totally necessary for getting through some of the later dungeons without going crazy, so don't forget about it...

For the uninitiated, when people are talking about X-COM, they mean the original game (and Terror from the Deep, which is basically the same thing, but harder). I suspect that Enforcer and Interceptor didn't age nearly as well (plus they weren't liked that much even when they came out).

You don't have to wait for Team Gizka, (especially since he'll probably never release). TSL Restored Content Mod came out in September, and it's mostly debugged by now. Of course, the whole game is still buggy as anything...

I should note that Mill Creek specializes in budget, no-frills releases. So collectors would probably be disappointed with their stuff. But I haven't seen any complaints about the actual video quality, just the lack of extras.
