Is it really necessary to convert DOC or any other files to PDF for online?

I always submit PDFs now ... All it took was seeing that my .doc resume created in Microsoft Word on one computer was spaced differently on another computer because the same "Times New Roman" font was actually different between the two computers. Thus, the last word or two of every line wrapped...

    CAGcast #125: Everything is Broken

I'm an academic, too, so please take this as constructive criticism: Your writing will be a lot clearer if you stop using so many prepositional phrases. It will also sound a lot less snobbish. I know it's a message board—I don't expect you to write perfectly. It's just that you obscure a...

Mario Kart Wii - Gen. Discussion & Info

Not at all! I played my friend in LA along with 10 other randoms, and it was absolutely perfect. We constantly said how surprised we were over our iChat convo.

Contest (CAG Foreplay #41): Win Wii Classic Controller and 2000 Wii Points

So many games to get!! But DoReMi has me hooked because I love platformers and ridiculous art styles. Next up would have to be Star Tropics, on the recommendations of everyone here. Love reading through this thread for more ideas.

Where's a good place to get a wallet?

I personally like Fossil a lot. And I got my wallet with a money clip and without a main pocket so that I wouldn't overload it, George Costanza style.

    Mario Super Sluggers - Aug 25, 2008

Huh? You could play the outfield. I loved the depth in Mario Baseball. More than any of the other Mario sports games. There were tons of characters, skill sets and interactions. Can't wait for this.

Wii Shop Channel Thread - 12/29 StarTropics II, Maboshi's Arcade, Cue Sports: Pool

The majority seems to feel that the SNES version is the best. I remember I enjoyed it a lot but was never convinced to pick up another. Will probably get this on Monday.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl - Gen. Discussion & Info

No way! I loved the 64 controller at the time, but I couldn't go back. I was one of the ones who really bought into the main idea behind the Cube controller: that most games have one primary button and secondary buttons should be easily accessible from that one. If you didn't buy into it, then I...

The "Recommend me games." thread. Let's get this to one star, people! We can do it!

Yep, some surprising depth to that title. I think you will get a lot more value out of it if you have a friend to compete against. That's how my friend and I turned it into dozens of hours ... no, really.

I'd say they're just very conservative. I'm not always sure whether that's a good choice or not.

I remember Mappy Land vaguely on the NES.

The "Recommend me games." thread. Let's get this to one star, people! We can do it!

It has an easy mode that seems plenty accessible. The controls have a bit of a learning curve, but otherwise, its frequent checkpoints are beginner friendly.

Wii Shop Channel Thread - 12/29 StarTropics II, Maboshi's Arcade, Cue Sports: Pool

The convenience -- time and space -- is significant. Also, there are a lot of games I don't own. I used to borrow them or never picked them up in the first place. Even games I own in multiple forms like Super Mario Bros. is worth it for me because I will play it (and thus enjoy it) a lot more...

Super Smash Bros. Brawl - Gen. Discussion & Info

Yeah, what a great deal that was! Let's also keep in mind, though, that they were all NES games. Many of the top NES classics weren't included, beyond a well-hidden Super Mario Bros. and Punch-Out. Still, it was great to be able to fool around with Excitebike and some other shallow but...
