A few other things, 1) You can only have sale items in your cart, if you want other things you must make a seperate order. 2) No duplicate copies of a title can be purchased at the same time.

And for the love of god, stay away from the Cardcaptors DVDs.

Sorry if I sound retarded on this, but what exactlt is USPS?

Does it come like right in the mail? For example, I have a magazine subscribtion, it comes in the mail just like normal letters, bills, etc. Will my packages be doen the same way? Be left on my doorstep if I'm not home, or be dropped at a nearby post office. I sure hope so.
 
USPS = United States Postal Service. I've been home for two of the three packages I've received already. The third one was left on my doorstep (literally; I mean jeez Mr. Mailman you could put it to the side so there's not a HUGE package sitting right in front of my door that everyone can see. :roll:)
 
The mail man (or lady or whatever) might or might not leave it, but instead leave a delivery slip. I belive that they will leave the package only if it's sent Media mail or Parcel.

I personally think that TRSI uses Parcel and not Media mail, as it ships pretty fast.

Oh hell, Shawne Kleckner from RightStuf posted a cryptic message on the AOD forums a bit ago, mentioning that he sometimes likes to "double his fun." My wallet is taking a slight break from screaming in agony, just long enough to hope for a Bandai sale similar to this one. I guess ADV wouldn't be so bad either, but Bandai seems like the most likely candidate, given that both Geneon and Bandai did this same sort of thing last year with Big Lots and other liquidators.

As much as I'd love another studio sale from either FUNimation, ADV, or Bandai, I really hope it's nothing serious. After dropping $400 here and with console launches in less than two months... I can't afford all this stuff. Shawne is making me sad...
 
There's a new button below Bountiful Items on RightStuf.com this morning, called "Sky-Surf Items," which leads to the entire Bandai catalog. The coupon "skysurf" also nets you 40% off of Bandai DVDs. Sadly, it's not a liquidation sale. I've been spoiled.
 
I was tempted to grab some volumes of My-Hime at that price but i'll be a real CAG and wait till DDD sale when they will be $1 cheaper and have free shipping.
 
Is the 40% off Bandai titles what Shawne hinted at? Disappointing, but in a way I'm a bit relieved, as I won't be tempted to spend any money for awhile.
 
MAN i wish it wass going to be the 20 for $50...that would have been amazing cuz i would have broken down and given in ONE MORE TIME! boo...and the bandai sale doesn't even have any SAMURAI CHAMPLOO! so it's really NOT their ENTIRE catalog! booooo!

They're located in Des Moines, IA, so that's probably why. I'm in Nebraska and it usually takes only 2 days to arrive via media mail as well. :3

The thing about media mail is that it's low priority. I've had it come into my city late thursday night and not get processed until late friday night and not get delivered till monday/tuesday. Sometimes I wish I could just drive down to the processing center and pick up my mail, it would be so much more convenient sometimes.
 
so, would it be worth it for me at this point to raid the geneon sale at the END of the sale? i get paid tomorrow and would have enough to pickup almost 50 dvds..sadly ive not even looked at the sale

That's a good point. In any case, it was in Maryland this morning. We shall see when it gets here (Virginia).


I don't know if I'd place a large order like 50 discs this late. What if they truly run out of stock on some of them and ask you for replacements to complete the order? That's my only concern with a large order like that.
 
Im so pissed everytime i try to order one of the dvds i want is always sold out and its always a different one each time. Then next day the sold out title is back but then something else is sold out. Its driving me crazy :(

I emailed them the other day and got a response today, so...they're working on it, which is good enough for me. I don't think they'll renig on us. I'm guessing it'll be a while though.

For those of you on the fence, you should order ASAP. Take a look at the list too, it doesn't have everything, so plan accordingly and get your order in or else you might miss what you want all together.

I would go for it. Any of the titles with limited stock displays the number remaining right on the page. I already fit one last order in and am hardly worried about what i want going out of stock.

If the unlikely happened then worst case is that you pick a couple replacement titles or just can the whole order if you decide it's not worth it. Take advantage while you can! Chances are your order will ship the same time as my original one... Ordered the first day but still waiting on stock!

Well my first order shipped yesterday so with my paycheck from today I decided to make another order. I got the someday's dreamers and I hope it is good. Plus I finished my Last Exile off. This has been a really good sale. :applause:

Don't worry everyone! You guys will get your orders. For one thing, not everything is immediately at their warehouse, but as long as there is a counter and you can order the item, you will likely get it. It just takes a long time for them to ship them out.

With such a high volume of orders, they are doing a great job I think. They are pretty much going in order by when your order was placed. Plus, they have to wait for the item to arrive from Geneon. PLUS, they still have people placing regular orders.

I was a little nervous earlier this month, but seeing how Rightstuf has been handling this sale, I'm not worried at all. They are going as fast as they can.

For those of you who just ordered last week - give it time. I put 2 orders on the 11th and 1 on the 12th. My order on the 12th hasn't shipped (partly because I changed some items later), but even of my first orders: Half of the 1st(25) and all of the 2nd(10) shipped on the 21st. It's looking like a 10-14 day turn-around for getting your items shipped.

Everthing was really well packed, I noticed that some of the X DVDs came in nice black cardboard sleeves, it would have been nice to have a completely identical set, but I'm not complaining cause this deal was awesome.

All in all, I am very pleased and just put in another order of 25.
 
I've got an order of 25 placed, but I'm terrified as to how my mom will react when she sees a huge box of anime stuff and sees that I spent $100 on anime.

I want to order a few more titles but...eh...I just don't know how she'll react to TWO of those huge boxes :p.

I wanted to get some other stuff earlier in the sale but I was having some stupid credit card problems. I'll probably pick up Last Exile with box somewhere and Last Exile vol 7 when I can. I wouldn't be surprised if some of this stuff shows up on buyritedvd.com eventually.
 
Last Exile Vol 1 w/ Box is only $9.99 (6.66 if you do the 3 dvds for $20) at Gamestop/Moviestop/EB. The store locator used to work, but it seems they took all of the anime stuff (along with PSX/N64) off of their websites.

9 of the 25 dvds on my 2nd order have been reserved. Im tempted to place another order and resell the dvds at a local store that pays $7 a disc, but i dont want to risk the company taking all the dvds of their trade in list while my order is still in processing/in the mail.

Im probably gonna get the Texhnolyze box from Wherehouse for $12, the only Gamestop/EB/Moviestops by me only have the regular dvds. I'd love to find a Lain box as well, but im not holding my breath.

Texhnolyze has some of the coolest DVD cover artwork, I remember marveling at them at FYE, where they had the lenticular 3D inserts. In the set I got from the rightstuf sale only the first volume came with it.
