Jeez Danny Fortson is a piece of SHIT. He really need to take the thug crap back to U of Cinncinati and Bob Huggins.
yea I was thinking the same thing. That was a real shitty move

Yeah, of all guys to boo they boo Duncan.

Tim Duncan is probably the most unassuming superstar in league history. He's a nice guy, he plays the game the right way and never starts crap with anyone.
Also, I hope Miller does come back. He was just awesome tonight.
A reporter asked him about that after the game. He once again said he is retiring.

And he said 100%, not like Jordan with his 99.9.

I totally lost track of this topic... my apologies. My 2nd round picks look really good too, I had the Heat in 5, Pistons in 6, Spurs in 6 and Suns in 6. Anyway, this is more of a discussion thread at this point anyway.

So... Reggie, my thoughts, if I met the guy I'd have to tell him the truth, Reggie, I've wanted to strangle you so many times... so I must say thanks, thanks for doing your job, doing it the "right-way" (such a big thing in Detroit these days) and thanks for the amazing memories.

Yeah, I'm a little suprised my picks have been pretty good so far. I picked the Bulls in round one but that's the only one I've gotten wrong on so far. The number of games for the most part has been pretty close too. I need Dallas to push it to 7 games and then upset the Suns for my picks to turn out really well.

I'd echoe your sentiments on Miller. I've never been a "fan" but he had a great run and for the most part played the game right.

I was never a huge Reggie Miller fan. I thought he flopped too much, and did too many underhanded things (kicking his leg out to get fouls) but the man could shoot the lights out. The ovation he got was amazing and you could tell it got to him. Larry Brown calling the TO so they could chant more for Reggie was one of the classiest things I've seen in a long time.

It was AWESOME to see the Pistons and Pacers put the December brawl behind themselves in that fashion. Seeing all the Pistons give Reggie hugs, hi-fives, and applauding was a great moment.

I wonder how much my Reggie Miller rookie card is worth now?

I honestly feel nauseous right now.

So many stupid mistakes in the fourth and overtime. Why do you not foul Nash before he takes the three? Why don't you call a timeout afterwards? Why does Dirk shoot a fadaway three with more than 8 seconds on the clock when we're down by three points?

The Suns didn't win this game, the Mavs lost it. I feel like the entire season, everything they accomplished, is a wash thanks to this game.

We were up by 16 points at home in Game 6. How do you let that lead slip up?

I'm going to go kill a litter of kittens now.

IMO, Avery Johnson isn't a good coach, even tho he is new to it. I don't know what Terry was thinking, he didn't even try to block Nash's 3 point. He thought Nash was going to run towards the basket so he did the same. And as for not calling the timeout with around 5-6 secs to go, that was a big mistake on Avery Johnson as well. I'm guessing he thought they could win it in OT with Stoudemire being fouled out.

I'd blame Dirk for the OT loss. He threw a hissy fit at Terry for not fouling Nash. Dirk sucked that game, well entire playoff series too but thats my opinion :p. Kinda funny how he yells at Terry when Terry had more points than him. Plus Dirk was 0/5 in OT. I still think Dirk Norwitzki is overrated.

no way Dirk is over rated. He played very well towards the end of the playoffs, and without Dirk there would have been no overtime (him and Terry took that game over) . Granted he should have played better, but he is still not completely used to creating his own shot on a consistent basis. We saw how the Suns struggled without Nash in terms of creating their own shots in many of the games.

also how can you say Avery is a bad coach? He only coached 20 regular season game, and 13 playoff games. I totally agreed with most of the moves he made, and it was almost a concensus that he was the best coach of the first round. After he gets his defense in place, and people like Dampier and Finley start to learn that they need to step it up, I think they will have a good shot of winning the West. They had a great chance this year, but did not capitalize, and I chalk that up to the team just quitting on the defensive end in the second half of just about every game (not much Avery can do when your players come out completely flat in the second half after playing amazing in the first).

Avery Johnson isn't a good coach, he shouldn't be, but at the same time he's not a bad coach. He came in late in the season, and did a great job in the few games he was in command. I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of coach he really is next season, when he gets a full 82 game schedule.

As for the play-offs the inevitable seems to be upon us, all season long, I've known it'd come to Detroit/San Antonio, and now that looks more inevitable than ever. True it's only a pair of game 1's, but the way Detroit and San Antonio walked into Miami and Phoenix's buildings and both convincingly won, leads me to believe that my pre-season premonitions were correct. I'm no, Seer though, I think everyone who knows anything about basketball knew that this was the most probably outcome. I will admit, I expected Minnesota to be in the conference finals with Detroit, Miami and San Antonio though.

I haven't really been following this years playoffs, but did the demise of the suns come because they were too much of a one man team?

No wait, the spurs are just really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really good.

It was the second line, as the Spurs seemed to outplay the Suns.
Pistons better win tonight, and on Monday too.
Pistons can suck horse nuts.

It'd be absofuckinglutely stunning if for once in your life you actually posted something worth reading.

Anyway tonight the Pistons will win again, and they're headed to the finals to defend that Championship.

The Pisotns don't deserve to be champs. They are a bunch of spoiled, whiners who apparently have never fouled a soul in their life. Rasheed is better at crying than playing ball so what does that tell you about the Pistons?

Not to mention the Heat are playing with mostly injured players and they can barely beat us. I can't wait till we are healthy.

GO HEAT!

"Us?" Alonzo, is that you?

That's fine, but just as long as they don't suck horse nuts tonight...;)

If Wade isn't firing on all cylinders (haha, cylinders, pistons) then it's over for the Heat. Unless magically Shaq steps up for a 35 point game. But we all know that's not happening. I think it's amazing that the Heat are still 3-3 with 4 of their 5 starters being injured the ENTIRE series.

This is great. I walked into the front door, saw the TV on, and saw Eddie Jones hitting the buzzer beating 3.

As much as I like Dwayne Wade, I still want Pistons to win (not much of a Shaq lover).

I wasn't a big fan of Shaq until this season. I just loved how he took shots at Kobe all year.

Who didn't take shots at Kobe this year? Not that I'm saying he didn't deserve it.

its the way he said them though. The one he used referencing the Godfather was great

"The difference between those three is the Godfather trilogy," O'Neal said
in classic Shaq-speak. "One is Fredo, who was never ready for me to hand it
over to him. One is Sonny, who will do whatever it takes to be the man, and
one is Michael, who if you watch the trilogy, the Godfather hands it over to
Michael. So I have no problem handing it over to Dwyane."
Eddie Jones = badass. And I'm rooting for the Pistons.
Eddie Jones=former Laker=Badass  Vlade Divac does not apply to this equation

Where are your precious Lakers right now? At home watching the game.
