WHOO What a win for the Bills. It feels good not to winless in the first week for once, And man did the team pull out all the stops today.

I hope this only builds momentum for a season that is better than 7-9. Im hoping for 9-7 or even dare i say Playoffs?

im still not underestimating the Pats.....Their system is so solid that they can plug in anyone and still have a great amount of success. But dam..i cant believe in one foul swoop brady is done. what a way to start a season...

dam that fucks my fantasy team this year. i wasted a 1st rnd on brady...good thing i made the bone head mistake of drafting Drew Brees in the 3rd round due to time running out. oh man does that pick now make me look like a genius lol.

Nice job Bears... looks like we're back to the "good" old team. Excellent defense, good offensive management, and a running back who works.

Hear that. I DVR the games and fast forward through them each week. Its pure comedy gold.

Best part of the Lions starting each season? Means the Red Wings have only a few days until training camp.
Damn Lions getting that ass beat.

God I miss watching them loose already. That sucks about moving from Michigan to Carolina. Watching the lions suck ass was one of my favorite things to do.

Wow, Colts are celebrating the Bears win with a fireworks show! Truly, this epitomizes sportsmanship.

Edit: Did you guys see the post-game interview with Urlacher? It looked like he was about take Andrea Kramer's head off when she said it was an upset.
Yeah, that shit was laughs. "We thought we would win. It wasn't an upset for us."
Hello New England Patriots... meet Karma...
Yeah and I love how Moss kept whining saying "It looked like a cheap shot to me". A team that recorded other team's signals and mercilessly ran up scores has no room to take about a play being cheap...

Cry fucking more. Tom Brady does nothing but plays football and then goes home. He doesnt celebrate, he is never in a scandal, he is never arrested never been in trouble. A guy who you never see until game day and he gone out of the spotlight right after. He is not doing 15 tv ads a day ala Manning.

And this is the guy who you turn all your hate to because he is better than your QB better than your team.

You blame the players for something a coach did. Was it Tom Brady standing with a video camera? No. And why are we not throwing the Chargers under the same bus when their star player gets suspended for cheating? Hell Tom Brady gets about the same about of hate as fucking Micheal Vick does.

Where is all all of the Karmas a bitch Shawn? Ha thats what you get shawn I hope your career is over Shawn this is what happens when you cheat.

The NFL obviously didnt feel the "spy gate" thing was big enough to do anything and this is a league they we refer to as the "No Fun League" so if there was more than just a little you know the league would have been all over it.

Truth be told. It wasnt that big of a deal not enough to do anything but the wrist slap fine that everyone seems to get. So quit crying over it. It never changed the fact that the Pats were that good.

Its pathetic how hard you people hold on to any little scrap of dirt on someone. So while the rest of the league stops caring feel free be "that guy" that douche who will bring up the same shit for the next 10 years and use it as an excuse of why their team lost that season. No one but Jets fans gave a damn about the Jets before it and no one gives a damn about them now. Let it go.

Says the guy who just spent the last two pages of this thread whining about how much he fucking hates Peyton Manning and the Colts.

What has Manning done besides come to work, play hard, and cash in on a few endorsements?

Choke in the play offs every year expect that year and now loses to the bears.

But I do hate Manning but not to the point that you people seem to hate Brady. I hate the guy but I am not talking about him and the Colts non stop for 10 fucking days. Watching Manning lose is fun but I am not all over it the way you guys seem to be on Brady.

Yeah the same issues that you guys have with Brady.
Yeah the same issues that you guys have with Brady.
Let's not generalize. I actually like Brady and I think if you were to boil it down to the very core, the "hate" people have isn't exactly for Brady, but the Pats (and their head coach). Brady is just the face of the Pats so it trickles down to him.

I'm not saying it's right to throw this venomous hate on the guy, but at least this dislike stems from football related issues (spygate). You mainly dislike Peyton 'cause he does a shitload of commercials? Then you must absolutely have hated Michael Jordan in his prime.

Hmph, I actually like Peyton Manning in all the commercials he has done but I don't like him as a player. He's insanely good and all that but I hate how slow he plays.

By the way, sorry for the first blow up. Whiny bitches is a bit harsh. I apologize.

No no no.

I hate Manning for far more things than just doing ads. The ads just make me hate him more.

I dislike Manning for a long time though he is most likely the most imporant player in the NFL to his team. But I always thought his choking in the play offs should have been more weighed than it was. And its just a sports related hate....I hate him as a sports rival to my teams (Titans and Pats go figure....) but I dont spew venom on him and wish his family dead. I hope he loses non stop but just not to the level of the Tom Brady hate....that is just mind boggling to me.

Half the people who hate him dont even have him in theirs teams schedules. Manning is a rival to 2 of the teams that I am a fan of (Titans first Pats 2nd). Its the fact that most people have to go completely out of their own way to hate the pats and thats what I find to be disgusting. I mean, I dislike the Steelers but I dont go out of my way to bash them when they didnt even play my team this year.

I could I not hate them?

EDIT: By the way its both Mannings. I will never like Eli because of the bitch way he cried when he was drafted.

I don't have any problems with Brady and I never wanted him to suffer a season or possibly career ending injury. My issue is with the Pats as a whole. They used very cheap tactics running up scores and continuing to go for it on 4th down when they were up by 40 pts on teams last year IMHO. It serves them right to have to deal with some adversity this year. Karma is coming back to bit them in the ass. The ultimate insult would've been to lose to the pathetic Chiefs at home on opening day but unfortunately Bowe kept dropping the ball all day.

And that is a very fair assessment.

This is such a bad year for me. Young goes down..then Brady. I guess I celebrated a little to hard when we went 18 - 0 last year and when the Titans beat the Colts.

I am behind M-Cass all the way though he had to have to learned a ton from watching Brady right? The Titans on the other hand? We are fucking screwed Young is looking more and more like a injury concern every year which means life as a career back up. C. Johnson is looking nice though.

I think some of the NE fans actually help build up a lot of the hatred as well. Some were cocky as hell. I truly believe most people were sad to see Brady go down. I think he is a class act and wishes him well.

I completely agree with that. NE fans are complete douche bags and I am glad I dont live anywhere near there.

They are the over the top fans that I am talking about.

By the way. I wish ESPN wouldnt show Tom getting hurt EVERY fuckING 3 SECONDS!

Espn to me is becoming a joke more and more every day. They are almost as worse as Fox News. They latch on to anything and just beat it to hell. Not just the Brady thing...they are just all over certain stories forever.

In 10 min of flipping to ESPN I have already seen the replay 9 times. And heard about it another 15.

As a new england fan..as narcisistic as it sounds I'm looking forward to seeing how the Pats do without Brady...I think we've (just like any fans sports dynasty) have become spoiled with winning and having a top notch team. Will be fun watching every game now, not just when they play the chargers or Colts.

Agreed.

Though it still blows.

Wow the Bears really shocked me last night. Orton was better than I expected, the defense was WAY better than they looked in the preseason, Matt Forte was a beast, and the O-line was great after sucking for all of the last 2 years.

I have a feeling they will go lose in Carolina next week, but even if that happens I am still thrilled with this start to the season. They have a really hard opening schedule, if they can go 2-2 thru their first 4 games I feel ok about the rest of the season.

Agreed. I wasn't expecting much at all out of the Bears this year especially seeing how poorly our starting defense played in the preseason. If we can run the ball and Orton can manage the game avoiding turnovers we can have a decent season. I thought overall the defense did a good job. We should've been able to get to Manning more with all the blitzing we were doing and I thought our corners were getting juked out of their jocks by Harrison, Wayne, and Gonzales. Don't forget both Wayne and Harrison had a few key drops that would've changed the whole complextion of that game.

I think the fact that Manning didn't play in the preseason and was missing his all pro center helped us out as well.

my post wasn't directed towards Tom Brady.. but the franchise itself.. while Tom Brady, in the public eye, seems like a guy who doesn't do anything but his job, the franchise doesn't.. they do things like exploit the rules and the whole Spygate thing was just the tip of the iceberg.. As a football fan, it is sad to see the guy get injured... as a Steeler fan, a team who accused the Pats of cheating in the AFC Championship game, I can't help but say this event was a result of Karma getting even.

If your the bears, just pray you don't fall behind in games. Orton doesn't have an arm to throw more then 8 yard comeback routes and crosses.

Bye Bye Brady
Your luck has run out and you will be very lucky to win another ring.
Serves Moss right. Karma comes back to bite him in the ass after he quit on the Raiders.

This post makes no sense at all. Do you know anything about football? Moss, regardless of QB, is still the BEST WR in the league. Him and whomever is QBing the Pats will hook up over 15 times this season for TD's.

Also Brady not winning another ring? WTF? He will be back next year and they still will have the same team. Who knows, they might still win it this year and yet he still will get a ring.

I love all the haters out there that think the Pats are all washed up now since they lost Brady. Even though im no Pats Fanboy, I would like to see them get to the Super Bowl to prove all of you wrong. Notice I didn't say win the Super Bowl. My Cowboys will do that ;)

lol.. and I love how you call all Steeler fans cocky s.o.b.s ...lol

Somehow I'm still holding onto hope that the press conference today will reveal that it's nothing serious and he'll be back in November. Everytime I see that shot of them looking at his knee and he has that look on his face, it still bugs me. I really wish we had some on-field audio of the incident though to see if the reports of him screaming in pain are true. Terrible.

it is eerie how similar this hit is to the Carson Palmer hit... other than a different angle. I'm not sure what can be done by that.. it's not like the guy did it on purpose..

I was SO close to drafting Brady with the third overall pick since all touchdowns get 6 points.

On a side note, the Eagles are looking pretty good even though it was against the Rams. If they can beat the Cowgirls next week, they'll be legit in my books ;)

Is 8-8 or 9-6 with outside shot at wild card too optimistic an outlook now after seeing what the Bears did last night? I wish I could rewind time back 2 years and have Grossman get arrested or something night before the Super Bowl and have Orton play in that game instead.
Hello New England Patriots... meet Karma...
I'll remember this the next time a 70s Steeler drops dead due to steroid use.

The Pats haven't faced adversity? Brady is the product of adversity. They lost their starting QB, suspended their top WR, and had a coach die in training camp. Their 3rd string QB came in and led them through the Steelers, through the Raiders, and through the Greatest Show on Turf, to a Superbowl win. Thats not overcoming adversity?

Interesting to see how the East shakes out.....hope the Bills take it.

Steelers have to be the favorites in the AFC right now...

It's real early though. Still too many questions about the O-line, schedule, etc. I'm optimistic, but I wouldn't leap too far ahead right now.
is there a seperate fantasy football talk thread?

Im just curious as to what brady owners are doing?
Well I doubt you can get a trade for him. Everyone will just drop him and pick up another QB.

I can sum up my reason for hating him in two words-

Tuck rule.

I can still see his lying ass grin in that interview afterwards.

Yeah, I hold grudges with the best of them!
