What the hell happened last night on the Isle?
Lets never bring up that game again ok. Yikes. By the way for those of you who don't watch the Wings in a 0-6 loss Nicklas Lidstrom was on the ice for 23:41 and was +/- 0. The cyborg doesn't make mistakes.

I'll be at the Wings/Canes game Thursday night.::D

Everytime Mr. Backhand high/Mr. One trick pony (Clowe) uses his one move and misses he should get fined. That will make his ass wake up.

I just finished watching the Kings/Ducks game from last night. The Kings finally won, ending their 3 game losing streak and the Ducks' 5 game winning streak. The Kings had gone 3-7 in their last 10, dropping nearly out of the playoff picture, with all 7 losses being by 1 goal.

Also of note, Dustin Brown scored his 100th career goal. Now, bring on Boston tomorrow afternoon!

The Kings beat the Bruins in a thrilling (at least the last half of the game), come from behind win. It looked bleak when LA was down 3-1 entering the 3rd period, but they managed to tie it up and then won the shootout. I'm just glad it wasn't another 1 goal loss.

Thrilled was not the word I was looking for when 5 consecutive penalties were called on the Bruins, giving the Kings almost 3 minutes straight of 5 on 3. Meanwhile Jarret Stoll is running guys from behind... That game was laughable, worst officiated game I've seen this year by a wide margin.

Stoll better keep his head up two weeks from now, that pussy wouldn't go with Stuart after running him from behind, even got a penalty called on Stuart for "holding". And then he hit Trent Whitfield from behind in OT. Unbelievable.

I just saw it... That's total bullshit and especially since it's the Pirate. WTF... I also heard on the radio on of the announcers call Ott a sniper. :sigh:

The Pens vs. Canucks game should be a fun one tonight. Both Fluery and Johnson are out so the Pens had to call up their AHL goalie to start and than sign one of their draft picks from 2008 who was close to Vancouver to a one-day contract to sit on the bench to be a back-up.

I saw the NHL on the fly edition of that FAIL goal from steve the pirate. Way to FAIL and at the same time inflate steve the pirate's confidence that he's anywhere close to decent. Right when he rejoices that's it's a goal I'd like to punch him in the face.

Edit: NHL on the fly makes life that much more enjoyable.
Anybody see the Ott shootout goal? Every angle presented to FS Detroit viewers was at best inconclusive and the ref waved it off at first too.
I just saw it... That's total bullshit
The official word was Ref #26 who was 3 feet away called it no goal on the spot. The replay crew in Toronto called it inconclusive no goal. Then the other ref who wasn't even in the picture called it a goal after a 10 minute delay.

I don't even know what to say. WTF.

I just don't know how you fail that much even when you have technology behind you. I mean seriously. Come the fuck on. The only good news is it's not like the SARS got anywhere with that win. lol

Um so which one is the utter failure because right now it's 6-2 VAN and both goalies seem to have no record this year and one doesn't even exist in the yahoo sports database

Caught the last half of the Hawks/Wings game. Pretty good stuff. It's always good when Detroit loses, especially when they're competing with the Kings for a playoff spot.

It just happened not long ago. I'm sure YouTube or some other such site will have it up. That one spinning shootout goal was pretty awesome.

Tough loss for the Wings but they battle back to get a point. It sure will be nice when Franzen & Williams get back. They can really use those guys for shootouts especially. Wings are lacking true scorers and it really shows come shootout time.
What are Zetterburg and Datsyuk then... ?
Awesome which is why they had some points today. Damn Hossa had to score...

Caps win 5-3. You know, all teams have to do against us is put all 5 guys in front of the goal all game and then wait for a power play. There's no way our defense can help us.

However, I think Ovechkin could still get a goal past them every now and then.
What are Zetterburg and Datsyuk then... ?
I'm talking shootout. Yes Zetterberg & Datsyuk are great but after them the Wings shootout lineup is not good. Franzen & Williams are far more dangerous one on one than Cleary and Bert.
Does anyone have a clip of the fight between Eaves and Versteeg? Can't get on YouTube at work...
I don't see it anywhere else but youtube right now.

Patrick Eaves has played great for the Wings this season. The numbers are huge but every shift he works hard. I'm really hoping the Wings can retain him for a couple more years. I'd also like to see Drew Miller stick around. Those two would be perfect replacements for Maltby & Draper when they hang it up. Justin Abdelkader has also earned himself a full time job.

By the way how hard do you think the QMJHL is going to come down on Patrice Cormier? The video on the page liked is disturbing. http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/blog/pu...mier-s-elbow-could-lead-to-cri?urn=nhl,214200

Wings lost against the Caps. As a Wings fan I felt that we had that game stolen from us. We were much better and somehow failed to get any points.

Has anyone else been to a skills competition? I went to the ECHL's skills contest last night. It was kind of boring, but still okay. I've never seen an NHL skills competition, but I'd imagine the events are similar. There was target shooting, goalie competitions, a hardest shot contest, and a speed race.

I did get to see the Stanley Cup though! And tonight should be fun since it's the actual All-Stra Game. It will be broadcast over the next couple days on the NHL Network.

I'd like to give a big fucking shout out to the teams that won to put the SARS and fucks that much farther down in the basement. Good job today guys.

Good for Torts. He always has full supply of great quotes. That reporter is just annoying. Probably a snarky guy with smug smile on every column he writes that goes on and on about integrity.
Wings/Wild went 8 deep in the shootout and Drew Miller ended up getting the winner! Great goal by Filppula to tie it up and keep the shootout going in the 5th round. Franzen please come back!!!!
I'm glad you both got pts.
i hate the ducks and hate george parros so i loved this
I thought holy shit, he wrecked parros. LMAO! It was better in person too. :p

Oh my. Nashville lost by a goal when they were called for a BS goalie interference penalty around 5 minutes left wiping a tying goal. Needless to say they go home empty handed.

The Kings beat the Red Wings 3-2, gaining some revenge for the loss 2 weeks ago. They came back from a 2-0 deficit. It was a really good game. Kings are now tied for 6th in the Western Conference, too.

Man... you could've let the Wings have at least a point. oh well...

Edit: Good lord, Rangers keep losing. Moar Tortorella after game interviews please! lol

Good job FAILing Blues... Yes you suck THAT much. Can't believe Hawks lost. I gotta say, that smurf Nichol is doing really well and works his ass off.

Edit: Love all the scores tonight (Sun), All the shitty teams lost.
I'm watching the Kings/Red Wings game and some stupid Detroit fan is hanging from the rafters.
We were wondering why that entire section of seats was empty! That explains it.

Yeah the Kings outplayed the Wings the entire second half of the game.

What a game against Detroit tonight. Coyotes down by 2, they tie it in the last 90 seconds of the game, then Doan with the game winning goal in OT.

Fantastic.
