All this basketball has been the best Christmas gift. But these games today have been horrendous to watch, as far as offense goes.

At least one of my fantasy teams is doing well tonight ;)

Way to represent LA. Double techs for Odem, Phil Jackson refuses to sub his players to get a double delay of game. Foam fingers get thrown on the court followed by water bottles.

Shit is hilarious.

Spoiled brats. Try being a bucks or pacers fan.
So no Bullets throwbacks for a while?

For anyone voting for the 2010 All-Star game, please vote for Steve Nash... Kobe is a no brainer, it would just be criminal if Tracy McGrady beats Nash in the ballot.
Celtics are going to regret letting Leon Powe go , though getting Rasheed will somewhat make up for it.
This. I always watch the Celtics as I am rooting for my home state team. Leon Powe played with such great passion, poise, and intensity. He hustles on every single play, and was always scrappin' in the paint collecting rebounds. I don't know about other Boston Celtics fans, but I cannot stand Rasheed Technical Foul Wallace.

Anybody else watch the Mavs (minus two starters) absolutely thrash the Knicks D by 50? Of course D'Antoni's system isn't about defense at all... but 50?

They couldn't afford to use a roster spot on a guy who would be out until February or later, if he came back at 100% at all. I loved Powe but I understood why they made that move.

There's talk of Cleveland trading for PHX's Stoudemire. It'll be interesting to see what Cleveland offers for him.

Dude, all you ever do is cry about your Boston teams when they lose. It is always the refs fault or some BS like that.

You do realize Lakers got some bad calls too, right? Quit being a bitch.
The referee just gave the Lakers the game with the ridiculous offensive foul call on that flop.
How about Phil Jackson getting a call reversed when he started complaining. Even though the instant replay showed it hitting the rim repeatedly. There were some crap calls that cost the C's the game. The C's also lost that game, their last attempt to score going for the 3 instead of a 2. As usual Kobe got a few calls that shouldn't have been called.
Typical Fakers fan. Its shit like this that ruins the NBA.
Pot meet kettle, kettle meet dafoomie.

Nice win for the Magic at Boston today. Take the season series 3-1.

Bounce back from a bad loss at home to Washington on Friday where they blew a 21 point lead and lost by 1 on a late shot by Butler.

Hope they can finish strong and at least get the 2 seed in the East. Can't see them catching the Cavs unless James gets hurt or something. But need at least the 2 seed to have a good chance to at least get into the Finals vs. the Cavs (and hope someone upsets them first).

:( sucks iverson isnt playing. He is one of the main players I wanted to see in the All Star game.

Also this is trade deadline is making me real nervous. I really don't want to see any of the young heat players get traded for Amare. If Amare is that good, why is Phoenix trying to get rid of him?

To be fare there are more deserving players than Iverson.

Amare is a more than able PF, but not much of C which is how the Suns play him sometimes.

The Heat are obviously trying to snag Amare to get DWade the help he's been wanting for the past couple of seasons.. so they can keep their superstar happy and eventually resign him when he hits free agency this summer.

The Suns are looking to move Amare because I believe next year is his contract year and they're not all sure they'd be able to keep him once his contract expires. Also, they're paying him A LOT next year and trading him now will clear up some salary space which will give them more options if things don't according to plan (lose a couple of their franchise players, uber trades, etc).

I personally think that Amare would do real good in Miami because DWade is real unselfish player and because the Heat back court is really meh right now.

What happened to Jameer Nelson? He looked lost out there last night against the Cavs. I've seen high school players with more court sense than he showed. Vince may have sucked, but shouldn't the PG (a supposed all-star player) do something other than turn the ball over during a three minute scoring drought?

Did anyone see the Cavs vs Magic last night? Was it a blow out or a close game? All I saw was highlights of Lebron owning in the last few minutes.

It started and ended with the Cavs beating down the Magic. In between, the Magic played decently for a while, and even led for a while in the second half. But they played like absolute crap in the fourth, especially Jameer Nelson.

Paul Pierce pulled out the 3 point win!!! Rondo got screwed on Horse, he was the most creative and since it was poorly planned they rush the last 3 letters with a 3 point shooting contest. So so lame.

Outside of DeRozan's/Weeks Off the Side of Backboard dunk, the dunk contest was super lame. You see the majority of the dunks during a typical NBA game. The novelty of Nate Robinson (i.e. little man doing basic dunks) wore off for me two years ago.

Dwight Howard revived the dunk contest and now it lives/dies by him until someone can better him. He basically is the dunk contest. What he did with the superman thing was just hilarious and fresh. Nate Robinson winning it last year was a joke. He's does the same dunks every time.

He stole the superman gimmick from Shaq, no way it should be considered fresh. And don't forgot that he didn't even dunk, he just threw the ball in.

-----
David Lee from the Knicks? Who the hell is this?

Shaq will always be the real Superman.

Shame about Kobe, I didn't know he wasn't going to play. Only time you'll see me rooting for him.

TMac to the Knicks for Larry Hughes, Jared Jeffries, 1st Round Pick in 2012, flip flop of picks in 2011 is pretty much a done deal.

Nate Robinson to the Celtics for Eddie House, 1st round pick? is pretty much a done deal as well.

I keep hearing the trade rumors regarding Tracy McGrady going to the Knicks (supposedly the most likely candidate) or the Bulls. I've heard that the Rockets are asking for 2 first round picks plus a couple players from New York, or possibly a combination of John Salmons, Kirk Hinrich, and Brad Miller or Tyrus Thomas.

I think that's way too much for either team to give up, especially the Bulls. I can't see why either team would want him for those asking prices, unless they're desperate to clear cap space for next year with McGrady's expiring contract. I mean, clearly both the Bulls and Knicks need a change, but is there any chance that this guy could still contribute? I can't remember the last time he was healthy. Besides, would he even be willing to re-sign (for much less than he is making now, no doubt) with the team he gets traded to?

Matt, according to numerouse sources the Knicks and Rockets have the framework of a TMac trade agreed upon. It should be completed by tommorow. Knicks and Bulls are not trading for TMac to keep him, they are trading for him to get the expiring contract. The Knicks would be able to sign 2 max free agents in the off season now. I believe the same would go for the Bulls if they were to get TMac.
