I think I'd be happy if that happened.. I'm kind of disappointed that I gave in and spent so much. I could then use a 10% of coupon for one or two cheapass dvd's.

Late night deals are always the worse (or when one is tired). I seem to indulge needlessly when I'm sleepy or miss things that I needed to add to my order resulting in multiple shipping charges. CAGWS (CheapAssGamingWhileSleepy) could be determental to your wallet.

Worked the other way around for me. I didn't get charged for tax on wherehouse.com, but I did get charged for tax on spun. I did buy all used stuff on wherehouse so that might be the reason why.
 
I got taxed both. So, being from Illinois, tax isn't a benefit either way over DDD, because we get taxed at both.....or I do, anyway. Got many used CD's for cheap. I had to cut about 5 off so I can live with myself in the morning.

I don't know if this is your situation, but if you have trade in credit at wherehouse.com you won't be charged tax on the credit portion. You should be charged tax on the shipping, though.

it's a little bit more than I wanted to spend, but those are great prices IMO, so it's worth it. hopefully they are as meticulous in accepting trade-ins as some of you guys have suggested. I'm pleasantly surprised the tax is a little lighter than regular, it's actually 8% up here.

any previous shoppers know what kind of shipping is 'standard'? USPS First Class? Media Mail?

As far as games, I saw Jet Grind Radio, Trickstyle and Tony Hawk 2 for Dreamcast for $2 or so before coupon and Dead or Alive, Final Fantasy 7 and Mega Man Legends for PS1 for $5 before coupon, but they were in limited quantities. Also, Kirby Tilt and Tumble and Mario Golf for Gameboy Color for $11 or so before coupon. Also, you might want to check out used CDs, they have some great prices on some harder to find stuff(in reference to media superstores like best buy and even FYE and such).

Stock seems to go in and out sporadically though, so you might have to have a bit of luck and patience to be able to get in on some of this stuff. When you add stuff to your cart it is taken away from their inventory(supposedly for 90 minutes max), so you might want to keep that in mind.

most dreamcast games ive ordered from wherehouse.com could almost pass for new. i have ordered one playstation game that was pretty messed up looking, but they gave me a full refund (including shipping), plus they payed return shipping.
nothing ive ordered from there has been missing a manual or box or anything, and most of it comes in great condition (even games in cardboard boxes, like n64 or gbc games).
 
I'm liking this deal, and I've been looking through the list of games on the site. The ones I'm very interested in getting are Indigo Prophecy and The Thing (used). The total for both after tax and savings are $41.30. I'm loving the price, and for those that have played The Thing, what are your thoughts on it?

BTW thanks for posting the deal. There's so much I'm interested in getting, but unfortunately I have to control my spendings for the time being, lol. But nothing is stopping me from getting Indigo, Unless if someone else is doing a better deal on the game...
 
i got 11 cds (7 used, 4 new) from spun for about $60 shipped. spun didnt charge me tax and their prices on the cds i bought were cheaper than at wherehouse.

The Thing isn't too bad. The graphics are pretty decent and the atmosphere is also good, but the sound is kinda average and none of the control pre-sets worked well for me(on xbox). There are also some sound/visual glitches here and there but nothing too horrible. I paid $5 for it but I definitely wouldn't pay more than $10.

I'm fairly positive I did not, as it takes actual FORCE to press my broken mouse button. Either way, I assume it will get resolved fairly quickly, and hopefully I will get my items and all will be well.

They have yet to charge my cards. So we will see I will keep everyone updated though. It might not be a double charge one might have been a authorization charge and a final charge. my question is there two things on the CC statement online that say if its like that then you got double charged.
