yeah and that sold like shit, got discounted to oblivion and still available, in fact all gimmicky SEs are always available months (batman AA, Ghostbusters) and sometimes years (halo3, GTA4) after release at highly discount prices cause no one gives a shit about them
you trying to justify to yourself spending 40$ on little more than souvenirs and gimmicks by trying to prove they have worth and value to us - is failing.
plus that thing is huge.
while i agree action figures are generally gimmicks too, at least they look nice on a shelf, and really accent your room/work desk for months/years to come reminding you of the awesomeness of your fav game. how often will you listen to that soundtrack or look at that artbook (which btw, looks like mostly screenshots). if you are fine will spending 40$ on some music and a book, thats fine, just dont try to sell us on it. plus the game will be easily attainable for 50$ within a month of release.
I think you're nuts.
Many people enjoy film and video game music. This is a highly desired item by me because of it. The hardcover artbook? Long after I've finished and sold the game, I'll probably still have that, and it'll be worth more in the long run. Posters? Nice touch, they feature unique artwork from a sweet series.
This is one of the best limited editions that has ever been put out. Action figures are juvenile and are much less preferable to a hardcover art book with 170 pages worth of "2d action figures."
The question you should ask yourself is "what would a woman say if she saw that"? Between a book and an action figure, it's a pretty simple choice. ^^
