Amazon Vote...Both PS3's and Wiiii

Well now that I know at least 1 will be available when they expire, I'm gonna be there waiting. But the odds on getting that will be much lower than winning a claim code.

But I don't have anything else better to do.
 
wow, i never seem to do well on these but I won the opportunity to buy a 60g ps3...thus making me not need the 20g I already have. If anyone is interested in buying that one at or below cost, I still have the box/packagine etc..let me know and I will set up an ebay auction to protect both sides. Not looking to gauge anyone, just hoping to help someone out, especially if you don't need the wifi or card reader.

edit: keep in mind this is slightly used..I will format the HD and use the original packing materials to make it seem as new as possible, but I have played resistance and watched a few movies on the thing.

I really, really wanted to get in on the Wii--my brother has been really wanting one for Christmas, but at this point it just looks impossible...

Bad enough when it's something you really want, even worse when you just want it to bless someone else :(
 
Dang, my friend has been trying to get a Wii since launch, but his schedule has more or less prevented it from happening. Thought I could get one here and have it shipped to him. But, no go. :(
 
To those wanting a Wii, look @ my auction! Seriously though, I feel for you guys.

Also didnt get a Wii @ Amazon, but did get 60GB Black Brick! I say black brick because Sony, how in the shaqfu can you release this machine and alienate those of us with 2.5 yr old TVs that do not do 720p natively? Who in their right mind wants to play resistance in 480p? Grrrr!
 
Didn't get a Wii, but no worries. I know a guy who owns a small shop in the town I live in that's getting some after the holidays. I'd rather buy from him than a big corporation anyways.

What's the deal with the unclaimed codes? Do they become available at midnight or sometime the next day? Didn't pay attention to the prior offers...

Also, are the claim codes limited to your account or can they be sold?

Or in my case, bought? :)
 
I was able to get in on a 60 gb, I already have a 20 gb that I got from bb a week ago. think they will let me return the 20 gb????

I'd understand if you entered to buy it and sell on eBay (although it wouldn't make me resent you any less for trying to make a cheap profit), but seriously, some of you people saying "I got the claim code but I don't really want it" piss me off to no end.
 
If thats the case, I'm willing to sell my Wii claim code :whistle2:#

Don't get me wrong, I planned on purchasing the Wii but I think if I tried hard enough I can find it somewhere else for my brothers present. I could also use the extra cash in my pocket since I'm going on a trip the day before Christmas.

I had a friend that wanted one so both of us signed up but he got one over the weekend...
 
As could already be guessed from my prior posts, if anyone is willing to help out a long-time CAG to get a Wii for his brother, I'd appreciate it--just shoot me a PM with any and all proposals.

Couldn't you send the console to a gift address? So someone PayPals the code holder with the money and the codeholder buys the console and has it shipped to the buyer.

To those contemplating the Black Brick, if you have a 2.5 yr old HDTV that doesnt do 720p, enjoy Resistance and a shtload of other games in 480p. This is inexcusable by Sony.

*SIGH* There is no such thing as an HDTV that doesn't do 720p. ALL HDTVs do 720p, 1080i, 480p, and 480i.

If you have something that doesn't, it's some sort of HD monitor.

I went for the Wii, but didn't get it. Maybe I should have gone for the PS3 instead (although they seem to be showing up in stores more often).

Not true SOME older Rear Projection HDTV's will only do 1080i, Of course they will also do 480p but thats not HD
 
Trying to get a Wii for my best friend (I already got one myself), so if anyone got a claim code and doesn't want the Wii, I would be willing to pay for the system + shipping.

Thanks man. I feel like a giddy school girl! I'm at my wife's parents house right now, so I can't hook up my component cables. It'll be ok, though. I'm hoping for some Wii Sports action friday night.

Wow, you know nothing about HDTVs. A HD monitor would be something without a TV tuner, it has nothing to do with resolution. Many older HDTVs only support 480p and 1080i.

Can't understand how you arrogantly state something as fact, when you are wrong yourself. Most older HDTV's only do 480p and 1080i, hence the reason a lot of PS3 owners are furious that their games are downscaling to 480p, while Xbox 360 can scale it's games to 1080i.
