Grabbed a COD2 - tried to grab a couple more for CAGs. Only 1 of them rang up for 9.98.
Seemed like the actual COD2 Goy Edition worked - the repackaged Call of Duty 2 with the bonus dvd resealed does not work.
Tried to convince the cashier that they were exactly the same thing but didn't work.

Dammit, my TRU had like 10 copies of Fatal Frame 3 marked at $50. I thought about scanning one but was in too big of a hurry to do so. I may have to make another trip across town tomorrow...although I still have FF2 in the shrink wrap from a TRU clearance 2 years ago. :)
 
not that big of an add.......but my TRU had Franklin's Great Adventures (DS) for $6.48 (if you're looking for a 3rd for the B2G1)

they also had Herbie: Fully Loaded and Guilty Gear RED STICKERED for $14.90 (not sure where that price came from)

needless to say, my TRU didn't have a great selection of anything (DS or PSP) but I managed to grab Mercury Meltdown. I wish I could have gotten the first version from the previous sale......

Did you take it up to them to have it scan? My Toys R Us never has the correct prices. They all say their original prices but they ring up cheaper.
 
Nah I think the prices might be a bit YMMV cause Country Karaoke bundle rang up for $20 for me, not $10. I don't think there is a bundle and non-bundle version.

game only is $10. the bundle isnt on clearance.
 
Thanks OP I scored the following:

- Pirates of the Caribbean: DMC
- Bust A Move
- Phoenix Wright; this was my biggest want and due to my wife digging through the $9.98 bin we scored the last copy.

All for a little over $21 because of the B2G1 promo.:D

I got turned down on COD 2 GOTY... is there two different sku for this title? one version of GOTY has the same sku as the regular editon i think

I was happy to see nobody else running to the games section when they opened this morning. I had my list and went thru the racks and got:

The checker said they were going to destroy the guides but let me
buy them if I promised not to tell anyone. WTF?
The 360 CoD2 GotY rang up at $29.99, so I passed (bummer).
They had FF XI for 360 if anyone wants me to get it for them.
Also, more DS games I passed on like Freedom Wings, Nanostray,
Gunprey, Sk8land, Xmen Movie...

I may have to go back later. Too cool!

There are 2 different Call of Duty Games of the year. They have identical fronts but the one that rings up $29.99 is the one with the dvd on the back of case (in seperate dvd sleeve). 100% sure on this. I went to buy 3 only 1 was the $9.99 one. If you want call of duty 2 make sure it doesn't have the bonus dvd on back, but has it inside the game. Crazy but true that is the difference and they have 2 different #'s

This sku: 047875809390 -- rang up 9.99 for me.There was another COD2 GOY that had a DVD packed in with it that rang up 29.99.

I picked up Tony Hawk America Sk8land, True Swing Golf, and Gunpey. I really wanted PW, but that wasn't out. I went in the afternoon and she was just putting stuff out >_> I'll probably run back there after rush hour to see if she put out PW.

One a side note, I have been playing THAS most of today. It's really cool, it plays a lot like THPS2, and I like it a lot more than the xbox version of THAS. The toon-shaded graphics are pretty cool, and there are more shortcuts (IE menu options for things that you would normally have to find in-game to change).

If its for Suikoden V, dont bother. My TRU still had it, but for $20.

I did manage to get The Sopranos LE and Rumble Roses XX. I managed to score Rumble Roses and DOAX 2 (from CC) in the same day. Oh, the irony.

I think its just a YMMV clearance game. At my store, it had an older clearance tag on it, and it wasn't a part of this drop, unless your store had it marked down to $9.98 already.

Basically its COD2 original version, with a GOTY front thrown on top repackaged with the DVD. Once you open it, it will look like the original (look at the sides of the games and you can tell)

Freedom Wings (last copy)
Gunpey
Nanostray (last copy)
Phoenix Wright (last copy)
Tomb Raider Legend

I'd hoped to pick up a copy of FF XI for the 360, but they didn't have any in stock ...still, I'm not going to complain about getting six DS games for $42! :)

(On a side note, I actually like Freedom Wings... I think a lot of the review sites were more than a little unfair to it)
 
My TRU removed them from the shelf and threw them in an "Under $9.99" bin today. I picked up one of the 2 Suidoken V's I saw.

It was stickered as and rang up for $8.48.


PS: Why the heck are these selling for $40 new on Amazon?
 
We had probably 12 Nanostray's if anyone's really interested. I'm looking for a Phoenix Wright (or any of my wants - CML) and let me know via PM. Also had a couple Death Jr. 2s and a handful of Lumines II.
