An Incomplete List of the Clearance Games at TRU updated Sept 2

While at TRU browsing again the DS section to see if I can find 3 games to advantage of the B2G1, I decided to browse the PS2 section to see if there were any games I wanted. It looks like I'm gonna order my games online since the store does not Lost in Blue 2 in stock.

I don't know if it's going to be part of clearance, but I was able to pick up Makai Kingdom for $10.50 (such an odd price drop) and Steambot Chronicles for $15 (again...another odd price drop). Both of them were on the racks and not in any bins. This was at the Times Square location if anyone is interested and they had like at least 2 copies left of each game.
For the price, consider Gunpey, Tomb Raider: Legend, and True Swing. Not exactly cream of the crop DS titles, but that list isn't either.
Thx, I actually already have Gunpey DS ($7.48 Target clearance) and have TR: Legend for the PSP, so by default it may have to be True Swing Golf. Hopefully they have it.

Will these games be in a bin or do you take the piece of paper thing with the game name on it and they automatically take the price off?

Depends entirely on the store, but I expect my store to just have them on the shelf, and there's a good chance they won't even be marked correctly on the first day.
Monday I believe implies "not Sunday"
It was a fair question to someone unfamiliar with TRU drops. Retailers start their sales week on Sundays, not Mondays. This is not a sale, but an actual drop, so the day is Monday as Ben stated.
Bleh, I am not even going to bother.

No one will ever beat CC clearance!!
If we get another CC July clearance as we've been spoiled with the past years, is anyone's guess. Their new monthly meh clearance drops may have taken the place of the Annual mega Clearance.

people in other threads are saying DoAX2 will be 9.99. are they just getting it confused with RRXX? haven't seen anyone mention it in this thread. :)

I'm in for Phoenix Wright, Tony Hawk's Sk8land, and Nanostray. $20 bucks for 3 games ain't bad if you ask me (remember the B2G1 free deal). I just hope they have them in stock!

Thank you OP!

yeah, about Call of Duty 2, good luck if your store has it. It was the same one that was on the last clearence for 19.98 back at christmas.
Man I gotta get Phoenix Wright... I don't recall them having any copies 2 months ago. Is it a game that TRU still restocks?
Same here.
going to head out to TRU during lunch to see if I can snag any of these :)
+1 for that one, for sure!

I know my TRU has at least 35 Phoenix Wrights. I'd pick some up for you guys but once you add on tax and shipping the $10 game becomes $15-$16.

I'm in Tulsa Oklahoma.
anyone planning to ring up a bunch of games since the list is apparantly incomplete?
Wonderful idea, how about if we elect you to do it?

I can confirm the following games.
They already had most of the games on the list pulled on in bins they were still in the process of pulling the rest.

I asked them if I could see the list and she called her manager and they said NO, I said to them what is the big deal you are pulling them now and all I want to see if what you still had left to go. They said than wait for us to finish. I told them no big deal I can take my money to the other Toysrus they are more friendly there anyways.

Pickup the following
Lumines II PSP
Tomb Raider Legends GC
Bust A Move DS
Godfather PSP

COD 2 Rang-up full price looked for another sku but no luck.

They had about 20 others on the list but nothing else I wanted.

Picked up Nanostray. I wanted Phoenix Wright, but the this hoarder grabbed the only copy by accident from the cart of all the dropped games. He just grabbed pretty much every thing.
Country Karaoke Revolution(sku497093)

this comes with the mic, correct?
Game only rang up $9.98. The Nanostray I bought yesterday for $19.99 successfully price adjusted today.:) I might go back again and have the employee price check a bunch of games not on the list just to be sure.

Thanks, OP. I grabbed NCAA Football 07 (xb) and Tomb Raider (GC). My $5 NCAA 07 from Gamefly didn't work and I've never played a Tomb Raider (blasphemy, I know) so this worked out well. My TRU also had some other good deals that I don't believe were part of this list. I noticed Capcom Col. Remix (PSP) for $5 and also Tomb Raider Legends for XBOX was $10 as well.

At my store, they had all the games from the last clearance in a bin but ones from this clearance were still on the shelves but marked down already.

I picked up:
Tomb Raider Legend GC - one left

And using the B2G1F on DS games, I was able to snag:
Bust A Move (about 5 left)
NanoStray (about 15 left)
True Swing Golf (about 5 left)
Tony Hawk Sk8land (about 10 left)
Phoenix Wright (none left)
Trace Memory (none left)

All for a total of $53.xx.

I was hoping for a copy of Rumble Roses XX too but there were none left.

Oh well, this was an EXCELLENT deal. Many thanks Ben and whoever posted the B2G1Free sale.:applause:

The b2g1 also applied on this !!!!

Nanostray
True Swing Golf
Tony Hawk **Free
also
Casino
Freedom Wings
Tomb Raider **Free

I couldn't find Godfather for PSP so I asked the guy working there and he said TRU had moved all of the M rated games to the glass case behind the checkout counter (leaving no indication on the floor that they even carried those games). He also told me that Legend of Heroes II for PSP was $9.98, so I got that. I don't believe it's on the main list.

Nothing was marked down yet at the Totowa, NJ TRU. I grabbed a copy of Lumines II and it did ring up at $9.98. I didn't look through the DS games but I can tell you the PSP selection there is pitifull. Actually, the whole games section at that TRU is pitifull. It has to be the worst games section I've ever seen for a TRU. The bulk of it is just loaded with garbage electronic Barbie toys and what not.

I was hoping for Bomberman so I may try a few more stores after work.

Oh, on a side note I did swing by Gamestop to grab a copy of the new Syphon Filter demo (PSP). I had to put down $5 on a pre-order but I'm planning on cancelling that soon.

I picked up:

Bust-A-Move DS
Nanostray
True Swing Golf

I'd be willing to trade any of those, straight up, for a Country Karaoke Revolution though.

Well I wanted Nanostray, Bust A Move and Sk8Land but they didn't have any Sk8Lands... so I picked up Phoenix Wright with Bust A Move and Nanostray.

My TRU had sk8land. Want to trade for your Phoenix Wringht? That's the only game i really wanted and mine didn't have it.

COD 2 Rang-up full price looked for another sku but no luck.

COD2:GOTY also rang up full price for me at the TRU in Time Square NY.

But I was there at 10am as soon as they opened, so maybe they didnt adjust the prices yet? That was the only game I was interested in so its the only game I checked.

Snagged Bust-A-Move, Nanostray and True Swing Golf for the DS for $20 something. Oh also grabbed a Mercury Meltdown. My TRU had plenty of each still left.

As mentioned several times in this thread: There is only one SKN#/UPC for COD2 that is clearanced although there are three SKN#'s in the TRU system for COD2. This is the same that was already on clearance for 19.98.

I picked up Syphon Filter Dark Mirror and Gunpey PSP.

Lady in the store had no idea there was a sale and after finding out it was proceeded to laugh and ask "How did you know about it and not me" or something to that effect. "The internet." If I said CAG she'd be totally confused. Needless to say she proceeded to start looking up the cheap games for herself. It doesn't look like anyone but me in the area knows about the sale so far.

And if no one mentioned this already, Rumble Roses for the 360 is like $7 bucks for trade in >.< at Game Crazy. I called and asked. Dude on the phone really wanted the game and was going to give me $10 cash for it but I told him that he might as well visit a Toys R Us and find a copy.

24 games in my PSP collection and still growing monthly, thanks CAG. Now if we got more DS deals like PSP deals...

Every DS game on the list was available at my TRU, with five copies of Ace Wright; I just don't have a DS anymore.

I did pick up SS: DA for the PS2, though. It was behind the glass case like someone else said. I also saw the SC: DA guide and asked for a price check. He looked at me like I was retarded because it was stickered $19.99 ... until it rang up $.01. Then he said," Well, we're not supposed to sell them when they're one cent. Let me call my manager and ask if I can sell you this or have to destroy it." one minute later he said I could buy just the one copy. I'm pretty sure he wouldn't have "destroyed" it had I not bought it.
