Animal Crossing: City Folk - Gen. Discussion and info

Closed up town. Might be on again later today, but don't know if the prices will be different by then.

Also, 120 for white turnips from Joan is pushing it, and I certainly wouldn't pay more than that. I think I paid around 105 last Sunday.
 
Got a silver watering can today, although I'm not exactly sure what it's supposed to do in addition to the normal can.

Has anyone caught a lantern fly yet? I'm not quite sure what I'm looking for...
 
Turnips 182 here if for some dumbass reason you didn't get in on 500+ turnips. Gates open, AFK. Take all the cherries you please if you replace them with other fruit.

What happened to the stuffed bear at the auction house? I was going to bid on it and now it's gone :cry:

Also, Ed finally moved out. If this works the same like Wild World then he should transfer over to the next person I visit. If they don't have an open space available then he transfers to whoever they visit until he finds a place to stay. I wonder where he'll end up :lol:
 
Paid off my 2nd mortgage a few hours ago, so now I should have a bigger house tomorrow. I don't know what comes next. I believe it's just more room for the current floor, right?

Anyways, I still need Pears and Oranges. Does anyone have Pears and Oranges in their town right now so I can come over and get some?

Oh yeah, my house is completely paid off now. Still have about 500k bells ready for some more turnips on Sunday. I also have all fruit (except coconuts) and have some fossils for trade (thanks again Strell, but I had those two already). Anyone have any spare coconuts?
 
Man! What is it with getting fossil dupes this time around? I didn't have that happen in WW until I was nearly done with the whole thing.

And then today I got ANOTHER Peking Man! That's three so far, which is insane.

I've got three more fossils...I'll have to find out what they are and make a note of it. I've also got some mushroom closets.

Which one Daisy? There's a PapaBear, and a MamaBear. I have both in my catalog if you want me to get you one.

I only have two fossils in my museum, and I've already had three dupes (T. Rex skull)
 
I have like 11 extra fossils #-o And today Curly is asking for the Ptera Skull.... I don't have that one #-o

Yeah, you gotta love how neighbors will ask for things you can't get them, of if you did, you gotta donate it. I can't tell you how many neighbors wanted a tuna :roll:

I've also run in to getting doubles and triples of fossils, which surprised me considering that's never happened in Wild World to me. Maybe they made fossils seasonal :whistle2:k
 
Hey munkee, is there some charm going on in your town about having people come over and send a letter?
One of my villagers said I needed to go to "Nowhere" and send a letter because Katrina said good luck would happen to me.

Strell, I can trade that Peking Man for a Sabertooth torso if you need it. I also have a few others but can't remember what they are right now...

Also, how the hell does the Redd invite work? Someone yesterday in Strell's town (Jeff) gave me a Redd invite but he still doesn't let me in. I can make a letter out of it, but if I try to send it to myself I can't select it for mailing at the post office. Did Jeff have to mail it to me for it to work? I guess I can see if I can mail it to one of the kids and let them get in... In any case, then, I still need one.

My charm is "find centipedes" and you increase your lost items. Someone must have done it, because I found 7 items in my lost and found yesterday...

That's a shame :cry: Your town is so pristine. When I visited, I was afraid to run and tear up the ground. Hopefully they didn't take too many flowers and you can rebuild, but most of us here do not act like that.

Did anyone get the Wii Speak Channel today? I just got it and I think my Wii Speak might have some trouble. I had to turn the sound up to 18 (started at 6, then to 8, then to 10) to get it to work. Even then I didn't get the best score.

Um...You know the 360 dashboard? It kinda works like that...only worse. It doesn't tell you what games people are in. You don't get any indication if you send them an invite or not, but it's kinda like the 360 dashboard...only worse.

I've opened my gates if people want to come over. I have a special item in stock at Nook's (I really want someone to buy something so I can get Nookington's in the future). Also, bring Pears or Oranges. Or both. If you have them.

But I will be gone doing something else.
 
Katrina told me that if someone plants a flower in my town then that person's flowers in their town will...um, something good. I don't remember.

Thanks for opening the gates. :) I can't stand when I get stuck with the little kitten. She's so sad it makes me feel guilty. :cry:

Well, I'm not sure anymore. He's not saying it anymore and my neighbor just told me to visit a different town and neighbor. whatever.

It's a lost kitten that can appear in your town after you use wifi. She keeps crying and talks about wanting to go home to see her Mom. You have to visit the town she mentions to take her back home. Or you get the Mom in your town whining about her lost kitten. It's annoying but you get a gift after you take the kitten home.
