I bought 2 separate magazines before I finally caved and got the subscription. It's worth it, don't lose money like me! (even though I justified it by flipping, it is still much better to just get the subscription, BB doesn't disappoint with these coupons.)
how much does it cost to sign up with the magazine?
$15 for a one-year subscription. Definitely worth it, and will easily pay for itself with a single coupon
Plus you get a few other perks from being an unlocked member (discount on used games, extra trade-in, etc.)

On topic though, I'm in for KoA (been waiting for a drop) and hopefully we'll get a cheap SFxT by the end of the month too.
Or is the other way around? We did get these free before. . .

The fact people even consider stealing the coupons is exactly why I called it a piss-poor coupon sub. There's absolutely no value behind the magazine other than the coupons and BB just used Gamer as an excuse to finally charge us for the coupons. Nobody would've subbed if not for the 'free' coupons inside and their copycat PUR 10% off used.

Why not keep the coupons free and kept the value of the sub in the magazine? That would have at least got the leg up on GS.
Quoted for truth. Tell it Montel.
It cost 10 dollars I heard. Best Buy charges that much because they feel guilty about charging for coupons. They're the real thieves if you ask me.

Worst crimes according to CAG.

1. Clipping a coupon from a magazine.
2. Holocaust
3. 9/11
First of all, you were talking about *stealing* the coupons, not clipping them from a magazine you own.
Secondly, how is Best Buy the thieves? They've even given us free games in the past with these coupons. If anything we're the ones robbing them with these coupons, these are crazy savings we're getting!
Well, Jodou (who I have on ignore but people were quoting his comments) claimed that the magazine is a rip-off and that anyone who buys it for the coupons instead of the articles is doing it wrong. Huge chain of rebuttals to that nonsense. Another dude insisted the coupons are crap and wouldn't shut up about it... And there were a few others like that.

Some people just don't realize that the coupon games are likely to go on sale sometime during the month and will end up being just $10 in the end. Others are entitles babies whose job is to make the internet a bit less pleasant for everyone else.
, wish I could of gotten in on those post, but your point is right. Maybe not $10, but a price range pretty close to that was bound to happen.

I've gone through 25 pages and no one has scanned the coupons? Could someone please be so kind as to scan the coupons for some of us.

Thank you!!

FYI: I believe they recently started doing the coupons you could print up on your own again for both the non paid and subscription Gamer's Club members via the RZ website like they used to with the completely free Gamer's Club ones.

As for there being no value to the mag outside of the coupons, I beg to differ. It makes a fine substitute toilet paper for when you run out, just be careful of ink transference and paper cuts from the edges of the pages.;)

But seriously, I actually do find at least $1.50 worth of value in the articles in the magazine, so to me the coupons and the 10% discount for pre-owned & 10% bump for trading in are just an added bonus.;)

To each their own though.

Actually it's $15, but as stated above that comes out to $1.50 an issue for the magazine with the coupons. The articles aren't really that bad in the magazine either. I would say they're no worse than Game Informer and that went from being a halfway decent mag when Funcoland was giving it out for their discount card subscription to being a shitrag with 80% ads and clearly biased articles in it under Gamestop.

Actually the worst crimes according to CAG are as follows:

1. Return fraud
2. Having an opinion of your own and stating it bluntly as that makes you a douchebag/asshole/troll/whatever other colorful words you wish to misuse to describe this behavior
3. Being a game flipper

This is just going by my experiences on here within the last 2-3 years.

C'mon guys, it's so obvious that they're just trying to get your mad. lol it's not even funny or clever. Not sure how or why you guys are not seeing it. At least namispep was funny.

Yeah I have kept my mouth shut today. When the trolls are catching other trolls with comments you know t is time to just stop caring about a thread.

What did the coupons last month start to activate? Wasn't it the first week of the month? At this rate in a couple months they'll have stealthily skipped a whole month (yes, I know they actually do skip as it's not a full 12m subscription).

They don't 'stealthily" skip a whole month.

It actually helps us out when the coupons last for 45 days or so because there's more of a chance that the game goes on sale, allowing us to stack it on top of the sale.

I'm glad they're changing the model and forcing you to have a GCU membership to use these coupons. People that use scanned coupons would eventually cause these deals to end. It's fantastic that Best Buy is taking an extra step to accommodate the subscribers rather than ending the coupons completely.

There should be a CAG expo or conferenece so we can all meet and bond. Lol most of us would try to find coupons for flight and how to get in for free

I still say that printing up the coupons on unique paper or making them one use codes would have solved the issue a lot better than locking out every other casual shopper who might actually buy a magazine and not be one of the people committing coupon fraud.

There's been many meetups.

Implementing something at the server end is a more cost effective measure.

Plain English: They took the CHEAP way out.;) I certainly hope that if they have some insane deals the system will still allow for multiples with seperate coupons from spare mags bought if I wanna get a copy for a friend(and yes I do mean for a friend and not to flip them as I'm not doing multiples anymore:booty:) to play via co-op with me.
You went through 25 pages and somehow missed the first line of the first post?
Just because the sale hasn't started yet does not mean the magazines have not shipped. Last I knew these coupons are in the magazine that is sent to your home. So if you have the mag, you have the coupon.

So then if you're a Gamer's Club Unlocked subscriber, you should be getting your copy of the magazine anyday now. But more than likely you just want the coupons without having to pay either $5 for a copy of the magazine in the store or $15 for the subscription.

People like you are the reason why the company has had to start putting restrictions on the program now.
For sure. This month is a bummer. After last month's deals, only 3 "new" games for $10-15 range? I'm in for a KoA, but this month gives me a .
Remember, other than Dragon Age 2, last month's deals weren't all that epic until the games themselves went on sale a few weeks into the life of the coupons. SSX, SCV, and Deadliest Warrior weren't $10 or less until they all dropped in price 2-3 weeks after the mag came out.

If you're referring more to the games in this month's coupons not being to your liking, well, nobody can really control that.

i would go just to see how many people get kicked in the nuts...

I've met or know enough of the local CAG's(aka my competition for deals:razz::booty:) that I'm ok with not meeting the rest of the CAG populace.

christ.. think my question got lost in 5 pages of 'stealing the coupon' arguing. I cant believe people are even arguing over this... anyway, i'll ask again.

Have we got any info on the actual sales for the upcoming ad? All i see in the main thread is mention of the B2G1 free. I wanted to get some $30 games early in anticipation of it today as well as snagging my 2 copies of KOA but i cant seem to find any info. Do they just have nothing on sale?

lol.. it doesn't even do that well! Honestly, its a horrible magazine. Does anyone actually read it or take it seriously? Its obviously just there to sell games and doesn't take any reviews or articles seriously. Worst mag ive read in a long time.. I miss the original PSM. That was my fave mag. Anyone remember the PS1 memory card stickers and stuff they used to have? *sigh* Game informer at least has a little fun with itself

^_^x KD

I know use the mag for backup when I run out of stuff to read on Lunch break, even though its rare to see any game rated low. I just cancelled Popular Science, which managed to throw out almost all objectivity and turn into a political rag in one issue.

So who is willing to hook me up with KoA for ps3 and Xbox360? I dont have a bestbuy located conveniently close to me and rather pay extra for some great CAGers to hook me up :) Willing to negotiate prices!

I helped CAGs few times without BBYs before, but 2 games + 2 magazines are $30 without tax and shipping.

So you want someone to spend $10+10+tax for two copies. Plus gas, plus another issue of the magazine, plus ship them to you...for $26?

$10+10+1.20+5+3=29.20. Add in gas and time and they are losing money....

That's the new CAG mentality though. Get me a deal and ship it to me even if you're losing money by doing so. It's why any time I make a deal for something with a set retail value I'll add in time/tax/gas onto the shipped price. If they try to haggle for a lower price, then they can find someone else to get their deal for them.

$1.2 in your equation is tax right? FL tax are as low as 4.8%?

It's 6% here for the state and luckily no local or county added onto that.

Yeah, the mag is pretty bad. Noticed that no game review ever gets a score lower than 2.5?
What's wrong with your math..
Seriously? Questioning my math?
The equation is 10+10+5+1.2+3=29.2
$1.2 cannot possibly be shipping, so I assume $1.2 was tax, which is the tax for a $25 item (2 games and a magazine)

1.2/25=0.048
0.048 * 100% = 4.8%
