What are the differences between Gamers Club Free and Gamer Club UNLOCKED?

There are two versions of the Gamers Club, one is the FREE version, and the other is the UNLOCKED version (both require you to be a base Reward Zone member before signing up).
You can sign up for the base Reward Zone account and the free version of the Gamers Club instore OR online. Signing up for Gamers Club UNLOCKED must be done in-store.

God, you guys are a bunch of women. It's not even being a thief, it's just coupons. Not like you're robbing the fucking magazine for Christ's sake. I'm sure tons of people will agree with me and have done this a billion times. I'll drop this though lol. And speaking of tools, go on bfads.net, they have some good tools on sale.

Ok so I went and tried to use the coupons today and no dice.no worries as they have plenty in stock at my location oh and also the gaming rep said "We now start price matching internet stores such as Amazon and Newegg and such" I was like WTF?!? are you trolling with me and its true he brought over a manager and confirmed it to me.

Yes. I and some others here have price matched Amazon at Best Buy.
 
guess maybe i will ask at the game counter if they can get ahold of gamer mag to get me coupons and physical copy. i dont have my sub #. weird that i would get the email w coupons last month but not this time

I price matched a 55" TV that Amazon had $300 cheaper just 2 weeks ago. No problem at all.
As long as it's actually sold by Amazon, not a third party.

The KoA:R coupon is not active today, but the cashier got a manager override for me since it'll be good to go tomorrow. Also, picked up Jurassic Park for $10. No luck on Aliens for DS.

I logged into my @Gamer account and it's set to print issue and it says:

Current Order Date: Jun 11, 2012

So am I to believe they mailed out the magazine 2 weeks ago and I still don't have it?
 
:/ really tempted to pick of KOA, but hoping it will get discounted at some point during the steam summer sale. Decisions decisions.

Edit: Maybe I'll just grab a copy of the mag and game. If it does go on sale at steam, I can either return it to best buy or flip it.
 
Hmmm - I usually get my magazine by the beginning of the month but nothing yet. Did anyone who subscribed get it (or not get it) yet?
 
Yeah it seemed like most people recieved it the last couple days. I've only seen a few posts where they didnt get it yet. I'd recommend those of you that didnt get your issue today to go down and buy a copy tomorrow (or today) and do a return rebuy with the coupon. I have a feeling these are going to fly of the rack.

Just search all preowned and sort it by price then find where the $9.99 games start and go from there. Only way I know how to do it.
 
So Cal here, received my magazine today. If anyone hasn't received their magazine by today, just go to your local Best Buy and tell them the situation. You don't even need your original GU receipt, just your phone number. I did the same, and all they did was verify through my phone number that I was unlocked, and they just scanned the coupons from their own stack of magazines. Good hunting people.
 
just got an email reply w my sub #, so i went and switched my digital to physical and asked for replacement. wont help get it in time, but mayb i will ask at the store

Well. I will say, I tried to match at another BB and the rep said they didn't do it at 'that' store and said the 1 that did it is 'international'. The BB that wouldn't is garbage, anyway(and, way out of the way). And, the #%&*+ couldn't, even, explain wtf she was saying.

I got the hookup today at my BB on koa my rep talked with me. Got him to check shadow via sku got that for 9.99 & told him wanted to get koa as well but had not got my mag yet. He got one and when ringing it up saw coupon was not live yet. But he pushed it though also gave me the mag without ripping out the coupon. Got the last copy.

I see the TIV for KOA:Reckoning sank like a stone since last week.
Thats fine, probably gets me to resist trading right back in without giving it a proper chance.
I might have done what I did with SSX, which was try it for one evening and say, screw it, not my thing, I'm getting rid of it.
Probably didn't really give it a fair shot.
 
I received the Unlocked gamer welcome kit, but no magazine, maybe I won't get it this month. Well it's fine, I really wasn't going to use the coupons as I'm hoping for a good deal on steam. I'd rather not register KoA on Origin.

I gotta find out if my local BB price matches amazon. It would basically change a lot of my shopping habits. I don't mind paying tax since you gotta pay it anyway.
 
Was near BB today, so I just figured I'd give the KoA: Reckoning coupon a try while I was near there. Of course, it didn't work...as I expected. But just asked nicely if there was anyway if they could override it so I didn't have to drive back there tomorrow. Surprisingly, they did it!

I fully expected that they wouldn't so I wasn't trying to screw the system. Just thought I'd see if I could save myself the drive.

It was worth a shot....there were only 3 copies of the 360 version and 3 of the PS3 version left so I was a little worried I might not get there early enough tomorrow. This was the Greenville, SC store by the way so if you want the game, you might want to get there when the open tomorrow.
