I'd go with Downpour and I likely will buy a copy come Tuesday. I've been itching to try the newest SH game. I had Homecoming before but with my backlog I never got around to it and traded it in.

Not to mention I have both an open and sealed copy of Arkham City sitting here, so I don't need another copy of it, least of all at the same price I paid for two copies a while ago.

Well, I get the inclination that there's just a decent amount of flippers and whiners here because I posted earlier that I flipped 2 and was giving the dlc away to anyone who didn't have it and someone still complained that I did the wrong thing by not leaving it in. IATCG's answer to everything is "put ___ on ingore." But it's getting harder and harder to ignore all of them. It's not like there's a flag and you can ignore everyone that has the flag.

There are some threads specifically for flipping. There's not supposed to be any flipping talk except for in the trade in threads. But the mods don't enforce the rule. It's cool though. Once the page views take a nosedive, someone will pay attention.

I have a madcatz NFL 360 controller, had it for years, it's hit the floor and is rattling, but it still works and plays fine for me. Thinking of getting a few of the 360 ones here for the PC. I paid 10 bucks for the NFL one, it too has awful reviews so maybe i am just easy to please and don't notice minor lag or stuff like that. I can't tell the different between it and the official one though. Don't know about the PS3 version though.

I could understand more if it was people saying "I bought 20 lol" but we are mostly talking about people who bought a few and flipped them for BB credit...how is that a big deal? Most BBs have dozens of copies of this.

The funniest part is that OPs for deals on bad games (like this abortion) often outright say they can be a good item for BB credit. Its up to the stores to limit how many you can buy and how many you can trade in, I really don't think anyone is interested in some nerds take on it.

I agree that it's certainly not in great taste to post about every few bucks you make off a deal, but the whining posts outnumber the bragging posts by far, and they are all the same damn message.

Full Disclosure: I've not played Downpour but by pretty much all accounts Arkham City is by far the better game... Arkham City was pretty much my GotY last year. (For those curious Uncharted 2 was my GotY when Arkham Asylum cane out so my username shouldn't make me completely bias.)

That said, if you can hold out another 6 months or so you'll see a price drop on the GotY version of Arkham City which would net you all of the DLC also... (The DLC is a bunch of challenge maps and whatnot with other characters like Robin and Nightwing plus one story based DLC that takes place after the events of the game. Total Cost right now for DLC is 27 dollars.)

There already are groups that are solely for flipping discussion, yet I see a clear disparity between the flipping discussions being deleted and the people complaining about the flipping discussions having their posts deleted. I routinely see posts from people like you who say that folks should stop bragging kept untouched while the flipping discussions all go bye bye. How about they just stop posting altogether and only grab the deals quietly without supporting the site in any way? CAG is already comprised of 90% lurkers, so why not have the flippers all completely stop posting and only grabbing the deals without saying boo?

How do you pay for the games you buy? Cash? Game trade credit? I wanna know. Flippers are able to buy the newer games and consoles they do because of what they do and how they do it. In my opinion, those who mention flipping are doing so to try and show others how to do it and to make their games/systems they want to buy cheaper by doing so. It's not really to go 'haha I stole these games from all you people and now Imma trade them to X or Y store'. It's to show that you don't have to rely on paying cash or waiting for price drops to get games at the price you want to. At least that's how I see it.

As I said above, due to the rampant complaining from the massive amount of squeaky wheels on here the flipping discussions have gone underground largely. As for useless posts, I count people asking redundant questions answered in the OP of a thread as more of a nuisance than anything you would consider as such. But the deals dying thing is like the boy who cried wolf. People have been saying that for a while now and I still see deals coming up on a regular basis. Some might even say really good deals($5-10 @Gamer coupon games, etc).

Oh and btw, how come I don't see anyone who is against flipping complaining about the Gamestop to Best Buy flip thread that's on the Deal/Shopping discussion sub forum?

IMHO anyone who bought this game to trade in for ~ $25 is an idiot as you should be able to get $5 to $10 more by selling it new. Rinse and Repeat. Same thing with those who picked up UC3 or MW3 on the cheap from the Target deal and just traded them back into Best Buy for ~ $30.

I respect my best buy and want to have the option of being able to trade in there whenever I'd like as long as they continue their Trade-In program. It comes in very handy when I need to convert credit from one store to Best Buy as I know it is very easy to convert Best Buy credit into cash through DOTD like this week.

It's fine though if you morons want to go balls out and ruin your ability to trade in for $30 profit; I say go for it. Just know there are many people laughing at you who understand long term sustainability and what you're doing is the opposite.

Best case scenario you make a dozen or so $5 flips via trade in before you get your account flagged/banned and worse case scenario best buy says the DOTD program and a good thing gets ruined.

I understand the majority of those on CAG are selfish, entitled, idiots who don't care about anyone other then themselves but personally I would like to continue to see Best Buy kill it as it is good for everyone.

This right here, exactly. That's my main concern about flippers though, that eventually we'll start seeing crappy deals. But I think probably the best way to counter this would be by seeing who buys & trades back the same game on the same day via their RewardZone #.

Pretty sure it will, I've never had issues with any 360 wired peripheral for PC.

I was gonna get the wireless attachment (since I already have 3 wireless xbox360 controllers) but it was like $25? This is a much easier solution. I like wireless but if I'm sitting 2 feet away from the screen anyway, wired won't bother me.

I respect my best buy and want to have the option of being able to trade in there whenever I'd like as long as they continue their Trade-In program. Yeah it's in the app store for like $8. Looks like it'll need some tinkering - apparently it works for PS3 controllers too.

I don't like the ps3 controller at all so that's why I decided on xbox. The batarang controller for ps3 is the right shape though.

Because I pay attention to the gaming market. How about this.. if it falls to less then $10 new, in the next two months, without leg work (i.e. having to trade games, abuse a PM policy, etc.) I'll buy you a copy.

Well, you can probably make anything look bad if you film yourself making fun of it for hours. Not exactly a good way to judge a game. Sort of like judging the Lord of the Rings movies by listening to the Rifftrax audio tracks. And why would someone watch a playthrough of the whole game if they're actually interested in playing it, anyway?

It's a really good game, though, despite some framerate issues and bugs (that they're working on patching). Great storyline and gameplay, solid atmosphere. Easily worth $20.
