Worked for me. Also found a display of behind the scenes disc for 300 that comes with a free movie ticket

the 300 bonus disc is 9.99, but free with the purchase of any DVD

So, I got two movies, and two free passes to 300 for $9.99

ya, i didnt know about 300 so i called later. The guy said it doesnt come out till 2/27. I bought 4 movies so im def gonna go back with receipt to try to get some.

are all of these good movies? i havent heard of some of them...is king kong the new peter jackson one?

if the deal is still on tomorrow, i'm thinking about getting: se7en, goodfellas, and maybe heat...i'm looking for movies similar to the godfather and scarface..any suggestions?

king kong i saw was the older b&w version, but it's the special edition and it's a classic

that's the great thing about this sale, imo

these are all solid great-classic titles

even the ones i wouldn't buy, i recognize as great films... although some are 'love em or hate em' films. i.e. Magnolia.

i also like that a lot of them are guy movies

the mystic river 3 disc includes the soundtrack as one of the discs if that makes any difference to you

In my case, it's love :D LOVE PTA's work.

And yeah, you can pretty much blind buy on these, especially at this price. Even better than Columbia House, with less hassle.

I wish I had known. I grabbed Casablanca and Citizen Kane last week. had V in my hand, bbut reluctantly put it down and got Beerfest to qualify for the 300 disc. Had I know V was buy one get one free, it would have been all over.
 
Just got back from Best Buy and then saw this post. I remember me and the cashier were staring oddly at the screen when the total came up. Though I got Lost Boys and True Romance along with the 300 disc.

Damn, so for each DVD you can get 300 disc for free?
 
Damn! I was at Best Buy earlier today and only picked up V for Vendetta. I'll get out and try this tomorrow. Good reason as any to skip Astronomy lecture :D
 
Thanks, I couldn't find any 300 discs but I picked up Goodfellas and Heat anyways. Glad I'm waited since I was going to get them last week. If the glitch is still active tomorrow I'll probably snag some while I'm looking for the clearanced games.

So the DVDs that were selling for $20 last week ring up at the $10 price of the DVDs that are on sale this week.

actually, at least at the store I visited, the movies that were on sale last week for $19.99 B1G1, were marked by big shelf tags advertising the fact that they were $9.99.

Wow sweet deal, I'll have to try it out. I'll make sure to get some Filler stuff to make my total be more then 10 bucks. The cashier may look at you funny with two dvds and only asking for 10 bucks.
 
I went. My experience:
The dvd's were placed near the front, where usual sales like B1G1 go in our store. They were all labeled $9.99. I took mine to the cashier, and at first it rang up at $21, so I sort of stammered, "Oh, I uh, heard there was this thing-" to which the cashier pressed a button and the markdown occurred.
"Oh, it's $10.71," she said. "That's the thing," I replied.

My g/f bought some movies, and I got RZ points on all of them; unfortunately, the cashier didn't know anything about the 300 stuff, and when I asked someone they told me it was Tuesday.

Which brings me to a question: Does anyone know if the tickets/promo disc show on the receipt?
If the sale stays in affect by Tuesday I might just buy stuff to keep anyway, but if not...

Heres the deal:

I went up the best buy and tried getting 8 movies. I went up to the counter and asked and they said it was buy 2 get 1 free. (I think the guy before me picked a DVD that didn't work and management saw 4 dvds on the screen with one free.) Well I told them to try and so she took 3 movies off the top and entered (which didn't prove anything because I would be getting 1 free no matter what). The sale comes up as Oscar BOGO. This leads me to believe it's a one day thing for yesterday. I point out it says BOGO and she looks at me like ok what does that mean..... anyway I guess I picked up the wrong version of unforgiven and also tried pirates of the caribbean. I tossed those since they werent working and came out with 6 movies for 31.28.

I'm pissed I forgot the 300 movie ticket so I'm going back as soon as they open. I'm returning Amadeus since I don't want a movie on Mozart, hopefully finding True Romance or Goodfellas (that is if they allow me to return an unopened movie). I'm also picking up my 300 movie ticket and maybe a gamecube game for 1.99.

you don't need to like Classical music to like the movie

I pray this deal is still going on Thursday when I can finally hit up a Best Buy. The free 300 ticket would make it that much sweeter.

Well I successfully exchanged for True Romance, except they wouldnt give me a 300 ticket ...yet at least. I went on best buy online and I'm going to print the page that says free move ticket with a purchase of a DVD. The people at my best buy thought it was only for Alexander NEW DVD RELEASE purchase. So i guess YMMV.
