I purchased Mass Effect 3 for $10, walked out the store, took out the disc and traded it in for $14.70 It's like they paid me to open their merchandise
Come on man, at least trade the case and manual back in too. Ugh this is poor form.

ThanKS OP. Picked it up last night.

Quick question. I have finished all the ME2 DLC except for Arrival....does that get imported?

via your save file, what do you mean?

Picked up the last copy of :360: LC for $14.99+tax after coupon/RZ cert at Brentwood, MO BB. Traded in :360: Metro 2033 for $12.60 after bonuses which I recently bought on PC for $3 and used that credit plus some from my last trades so nothing out of pocket for LC.

I manged to find a store with 2 copies of ME3 CE in stock. Guy even let me buy 2 copies with the same coupon! $10 each. I also saw a couple of witcher 2 tees sitting on the shelf and asked if he could help me out since they didn't package when I bought 2 copies of the game at his store (I had my receipts with me). The guy asked a manager and then came back told me I could have them. SCORE! I have a feeling he was a CAG...If you are thank you!
Possibly a free Mass Effect 3 if you PM gamestop's price and use the coupon for $20 off. I haven't tried it yet.
Doesn't work. I just tried. Socal Westminster.

Rang up 9.99 despite PM

Doubtful. I think it's against their rules. You can either price match or use the coupon but not both. At least thats what I got the last time I tried, the system wouldn't let them do it and got shutdown. Of course you could get lucky and get a clueless employee with the override power to do so, but I would think even so that wouldn't fly since it would be "Free". If it came up to like 5 bucks or something you'd have a chance, but not free.

Yes. If my actions/decisions from Arrival affect Mass Effect 3.

Was debating about Lollipop Chainsaw. Hit the brakes when I found out it was short, and then it seems there's two negative opinions for every positive one. But that was the case with Alice:Madness returns and I loved it so I decided to pick it up anyways, i'm sure it'll be cheaper down the road but it's one less thing to get my ass kicked over on black friday. Gotta support Suda51 either way.

Not to mention that if you can blow through it this week and trade it in before the 6th AND you're GCU then it'll get you back $21.00 in credit(10 base, 10 bump, $1 GCU bump).

DLC for ME3 ending is still free right? Already beat it, but would like to see the new ending.

Never got my magazine with address change so I'll see if I get someone nice to let me use the coupon for free.

From everything I've seen, if No More Heroes is your thing, so is Lollipop Chainsaw.

LMAO! Yeah, I might actually do it. I suck at beating games that quickly, though. We'll see. Man, and IATCG...you really are the cheapest person in the world to have thought of that scheme.

So... you are trying to sell a physical coupon that expires in 3 days to others in this thread that are already subscribed to the magazine?:applause:

So still no drop on Prototype 2?

20 dollars isnt cheap enough as it will be 20 dollars MSRp at some point

Actually I think they were asking if someone would grab a copy for them and maybe mail it to them.

How will you get it to them when today is already Thursday?

I'll get flamed for this but whatever it's so annoying...do people really not know that it's "selling" and not "saling?"

Is that some Internet speak that went over my head or do you really say "saling" in actual conversations?

It's 'selling'. I hate misspelled words and bad grammar as the next person (unless it's intentional for effect). Most often I tend to keep mum and muddle through them b/c as u say I don't wanna get flamed.

Should've done what I did. I bought it as soon as the sale started for a little over $20. It took me about six days to get the platinum and then I traded it in for $18.90 after the 100% and the GCU 10%. So I really only paid a couple of dollars for the game.

It is selling, but I use saling as a verb when describing the act of shopping at garage sales. I went garage saling today. Technically it is not a word, but I think it is more legitimate than 'bromance', 'tweet', and some of the other recent entries into the lexicon.

damn i wish prototype 2 would drop, so i can get it for $10 after using coupon, lolbut i picked up mass effect 3 and lolipop chainsaw tho

Picked up lollipop, forgot it was only marked down to $20, for some reason was thinking it was $10. Is the price match guarantee 30 days? Not sure if ill keep it for $20 or return.
If lollipop would've dropped to $10 I would've bought it, but for $20 plus tax no way. Gamefly will have it for $10 soon enough.
Silver has a 60 day price match guarentee I think, and odds are if it'll drop again, it'll be within that time frame.

I bought Lollipop when the coupon came out to make the game $30. I tried getting a price adjustment the other day since the game is now $40 to get $10 back, but the guy said absolutely not and seemed pretty pissed that I would even try getting the adjustment after using the coupon to make the game cheaper. I never thought I'd have an issue like this and he said no Best Buy will price adjust something after a coupon is used. I said...oh...well...then I'd like to return the game. He asked my "why?" and I told him "well, I'll return the game and get my $30 back...and then use another coupon and re-buy the game and it will be $20, so I'll get my $10 back that way." (my friend had a coupon he wasn't going to use). The employee looked at me and told me he would not allow me to return the game or purchase another one and then asked me to leave the store. I'm like wtf??... And then just drove 2 miles down the street and did it all at the other Best Buy.

You should file a complaint, this is unacceptable.

lol, were you escorted out by security or something?

lol no escort, though, he did seem to follow me to make sure I left as I was walking out. I just wanted a freakin adjustment, not like I was scamming the store or anything.

That is absurd. You shouldn't have even bothered to tell him your plan to purchase it elsewhere with another coupon to get your $10 back that way, the reason for the return is really none of his fucking business, as long as it's within the return period and in the original condition as per their return policy.

I have to say, Best Buy employees have definitely gotten much friendlier in my experience. I performed a similar price adjustment for a clearance CoD MW3 Hardened Edition I picked up for $49.99 last week, took it back in to get the price adjustment for the $20 off coupon applied and a reward cert for $10 as well for $19.99 plus tax. Took a little while as one of the employees didn't know how to perform this transaction and required some help but got it all done.

Another employee didn't let me use my $20 off ME3 coupon multiple times in one transaction for the couple of CE's they had (he did the right thing as one coupon per item is the correct policy), but just handed me back the coupon so I could re-use it and get the second copy for a friend.

What a jackass. You should definitely talk to the manager, or call the 800 number. I got my $10 price adjustment yesterday. The cashier said they couldn't do it because the coupon took the game to lower than what it is right now. I said, but the coupon is still good, it hasn't expired. So if I would have waited and used the coupon today it would have been $10 cheaper. It made sense, she got a manager to do an override and everything was right with the World.

Thanks for sharing the story. Whoa thats crazy.

If you run into a situation similar to gldoorii but can still get the deal, just return the item and purchase it in gaming or a regular register. Just tell person their attitude helped make up your mind about returning the game. I had an issue at kmart, and that's what I should have done to just get the fuck out of there. I find it easier to avoid the crazies this way.

no, you can buy the magazine for $5

The game is currently $39.99 and the Gamers Club magazine from Best Buy includes a $20 off coupon inside it. Unlocked members have a subscription to this magazine, which means if you're not unlocked then you'll have to buy the magazine at the $5 price. So, you'd be saving $5 after you buy the magazine.

I don't think you can PM a coupon price after the coupon has expired. (unless it's like $10 with no coupon.) At least that's been my experience with them.

I was thinking along the lines of the game used to be $49.99 making it 29.99 with the coupon, but now it's $39.99 making it $19.99 with the coupon. That's an additional $10 in savings, but buying the magazine to get the coupon makes it only $5 in savings.

Just comparing the total price of $30 of what it used to be to $20 now, with the coupon.

Ok so right now it is $40.

If you buy the $5 single issue and use the coupon you end up paying $25 for the game.

If you subscribe to Gamer Unlocked for the year and use the coupon you end up paying $35.
