A: No one knows but here is a prediction list based on release / leaks in the last few years to give you an idea of possible release dates.

Q: When are stores open?
A: Look above for store times located next to store ads.

Q: Can I price match on Black Friday?
A: Price Matching differs from store to store. Here is the list of stores with if they PM or not on BF. You can also go here for further explanation on BF policy per store.

Q: Does Best Buy's GCU stack with Black Friday items?
A: No. GCU does not stacked with Black Friday items. Best Buy does have early Black Friday sales if you are an Elite / Elite Plus member. Sometimes it has shown to work within the early minutes of those early BF deals popping up. But it's YMMV.

Q: Does GameStop's Elite and Elite Pro stack with Black Friday items?
A: Yes but only for used items that will be in the ad.

I think we will see discounts on all of these with the exception of maybe Red Dead 2.

Evil Within 2 was a game that they knew wasn't going to light the world on fire in terms of sales. RDR2 is easily the biggest game of 2018 and arguably this entire console generation. If anything RDR2 will be $40 or a doorbuster deal. Definitely won't be $25-$30 like Evil Within 2.

RDR2 is a game I don't mind spending the money on. I had some credit at Gamestop so I have about $35 of it covered on the Ultimate Edition already. I already doubt it will be on sale come Black Friday and if it does go on sale it most certainly won't be the Ultimate Edition.

I am hoping to pick up some stuff like Assassin's Creedy Odyssey, Soul Calibur VI, Vampyr, Dragon Quest XI, and a few others on Black Friday, but those are probably my top wants for $35 or less.

Well I figured the first didn't fail me when it comes to single player so this in theory shouldn't as well. And I pre ordered the last game too.

All I want is an Xbox One S this BF to take advantage of the BC for games like Mass Effect 1 & 2, KOTOR, Gears of War since I've never played them or the Halo games aside from Combat Evolved.

And a slightly larger tv than my 22 inch. So hopefully I'll spend $300 plus a warranty for XB and be done.

You may even find some bundle deals with TVs and Xbox One S consoles. I recommend looking at some of the TCL sets as far as TVs go, you'd be able to get a much larger set for relatively cheap.

Nah Walgreens only bought a third of the stores, a supermarket chain Albertsons bought the rest. All continue to operate under rite aid branding, at least thus far
 
I bought a chromebook from Walmart 2 years ago at BF. Still doing a good job.

Best bang for the buck TVs is the TCL P series

I'm not sure I want a Chromebook.  I own a Chromebook currently and it recently notified me that it would no longer receive security updates.  I've only owned it for 2 1/2 years so it's kind of ridiculous that it's already useless.

How many of you will be waiting for BF for an Xbox One X, rather than this week's $100 discount with purchase of RDR2? I'm leaning towards waiting for a likely $399 BF deal that doesn't require an additional purchase. Also, I try never to buy games at full retail. Backlog and such. After buying RDR2, it's really only a savings of $40, although you would have good trade-in value for the game for awhile.

If you have a console to trade in & stack with the GameStop $200-$300 off xb1x, it's a pretty smoking' deal and no need to wait for BF or deal with the crowds.

My brother is in need of an X. He ended up trading his Halo 5 themed original One for $150 with GameStop's $25 bonus promo deal. It had random disc eject issues anyway but GS never notices those things. The $200 promo was not worth it since it was only for the base X that launched last year, no bundles. This RDR2 promo does not seem worth it either, can get the special edition at Best Buy with GCU for around the same price as the standard version at GS. Now he has a $150 trade in card which will inevitably get used on the superior X bundles they'll have during Black Friday. I see it going a few ways: either a price drop like PS4 Pro last year, or a bundle with multiple games, or a combination of both. It's better to wait in this case.

Agree 100%. Waiting for Black Friday is rarely a bad thing. I find it hard to believe this deal is going to be better than any X console offer we see on BF. I'm also not a fan of 'you get this off if you buy this'. Unless you positively have to have RDR2 this week, just wait several months and get it 50% off and buy the console on your own terms, when the deal is right.

In its desperation I think Microsoft will return to 2014 levels: $100 discount with 2-3 games plus a GC or something like that.

I will get one here in Australia since it will be aus$499 (us$350) with RDR2

I am tempted to get an Xbox One X on Black Friday, but I really only want one currently because I don't have one. I have an Xbox One though and there aren't any exclusives I am dying to play right now on the system that I haven't already played.

Basically, I would buy a One X if it were as low as $300 on Black Friday, I honestly doubt they will hit that low of a price but crazier things have happened. If it's $380-$400 like I think it will be though. I think the console is great, but I have two PS4 Pros already so it's hard to justify spending a lot on the One X just so I can play multiplatform games that will look and run slightly better.

 
I'm also thinking of getting an X0X but I haven't turned on my Xbox in months. It just doesn't have enough exclusives to warrant playing it. I find that I force myself to buy third party games just so I can use it. Not that it's a bad console or anything but my Switch and PS4 get all my play time.

on BF i'm picking up an Xone S just for uhd playback and 360/og xbox backwards compatibility

because yeah theres nothing on the actual xbox one worth playing if you have a computer

Yeah, makes sense. I'm getting a 4K TV next month and my only current console is a standard PS4. Since the One X is more advanced than the Pro, I think I'll go with that for now and wait for Sony's next big power console in a coupla years. I think the One X is slightly more future-proof than the Pro and could tide me over until then. Always like having an MS and Sony console, if possible. I'll still have my PS4 for Sony exclusives, albeit obviously not quite as great an experience as the Pro would offer.

wonder if there will be any hard drive deals for desktops (3.5") .. maybe a 4 Terabyte or bigger .. i can't believe im running out of space with like 2.5 tbs in my machine lol...man games are taking up way too much space these days... i see one on newegg now for around 80 i think with promo code but i want it closer to 50 lol i wish right :D

Soul Calibur 6 for $30 is possible. It isn't selling all that well.

I'm hoping for $15 Monster Hunter World, $15 Kingdom Come, $30 Octopath and $30 Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze.

 
i mean, if you have (and trade in) an OG xbox one, an x is basically $260 (plus tax if applicable) right now at gamestop

Kingdom Come would be sweeeeet. Immortal Unchained would be too. Last year at BB, was it "For Honor" that was $15 on BF? Or "The Surge"? Can't remember, but I definitely swiped it up.

 
I know last year ps plus and XBL both went on sale for 40/year around this time...really hoping for a repeat as my plus is due to expire in a few months

I bought one last year stacking offers for $225. If I remember correctly amazon was giving $50 credit for a game trade, sent in just cause 3 since psplus gave it digital for free, $50 off for black friday, had a great offer to sign up for a credit card, $75 credit (needed one anyway since they give 5% off when using card) with the 5% off using the credit card, plus trade in bonus on just cause brought down to $225 including tax. Sold my ps4 slim for $200 on facebook, wish I would have kept it.

Most expected around November 7 thru 9, 2 weeks out from BF. Some, like Dell and Kohls, will start trickling out late next week. The online only stores like Amazon, Newegg tend to be later like a week out from BF.

 
The Costco Ad is up on Slickdeals, nothing concrete on the Gaming stuff just says $70 off or $100 off on the xbox's. Tho that $16k Private Jet pass tho 10/10 lol..
