A: No one knows but here is a prediction list based on release / leaks in the last few years to give you an idea of possible release dates.

Q: When are stores open?
A: Look above for store times located next to store ads.

Q: Can I price match on Black Friday?
A: Price Matching differs from store to store. Here is the list of stores with if they PM or not on BF. You can also go here for further explanation on BF policy per store.

Q: Does Best Buy's GCU stack with Black Friday items?
A: No. GCU does not stacked with Black Friday items. Best Buy does have early Black Friday sales if you are an Elite / Elite Plus member. Sometimes it has shown to work within the early minutes of those early BF deals popping up. But it's YMMV.

Q: Does GameStop's Elite and Elite Pro stack with Black Friday items?
A: Yes but only for used items that will be in the ad.

I doubt the bundle will be on sale, but if I were you I'd prepare to be mad because I would be really surprised if they don't have any BF deals on the PS4 Pro. These systems have been out a few years now and Microsoft will likely be discounting their consoles a decent amount.

 
My GCU ends at the end of October and they currently have sales on two games I want for the Switch. What are the chances these will be lower on BF? I browsed last year’s BF ads but many Switch games were not discounted. If I was buying for the PS4 or the Xbox One I would be confident these would be discounted on BF. But with the Switch tax you never know. LOL!

Is the PS4 Pro a huge upgrade from the launch model? I do have a 4K/HDR TV, but:

1 - Put a 2TB hard drive in my launch PS4

2 - Have PT installed

So it deterred me from upgrading a while ago. Do have the One X, which looks nice, but not sure there's a huge difference. Aside from not being able to use my damn kinect anymore and having to keep around my Day One Xbox One so I can play D4 and Zoo Tycoon : /

 
Last year I largely skipped BF and instead got equal or better deals in December leading up to Christmas.  Also Best Buy has their B2G1 free sale the Sunday after Black Friday weekend (should be 12/2 this year)

A huge upgrade? No. Especially if you already have an X just play multiplats on that. I'm expecting new consoles to be announced next year anyway.

It isn't a huge upgrade, but it is noticeable. If you aren't noticing much difference on an Xbox One X from an OG Xbox One though I can't imagine the PS4 Pro is going to do much for you. I personally really like the PS4 Pro and have two of them, but it's mostly that I just like the PS4 a whole lot. The Xbox One X is certainly more powerful though and if you already have that the PS4 Pro is really only worth getting if you can get a good deal on one. You could also always transfer your data from your current PS4 HDD to the Pro if you were to get one so that you don't lose PT.

 
I am in the market for a new laptop.  Nothing special, mainly just to check emails and do online stuff like pay credit card bills, etc.  I'm thinking maybe something with Microsoft Windows 10 S since that's supposed to be very secure.  I don't want to spend a lot of money either.

Which stores/sites should I be expecting to look at for the best deals on a laptop?

 
I'm pretty much done with this gen at this point, the PS5 rumors finally got to me. Gonna hold out on the newest releases until next gen gets officially announced. I want to know if we're getting backwards compatibility, cross gen, new gen ports, etc. So this is going to be my least active Black Friday since the PS3 to PS4 transition. I still might pick up a few older 2017 releases I've been waiting to get for cheap though.

I stand corrected, it was a buy one get one 50% off. With GCU that makes 2 $60 games $36 each before tax. Probably equal to or better than BF for games like COD:BO4, RDR2, and last minute releases FO76, BF5, and JC4 (12/4)

Hoping against hope for discounts on: RDR 2, Spider-Man, Call of Cthulhu, God of War, Divinity Original Sin 2.

More realistic hopes?: Vampyr, Detroit Become Human, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, We Happy Few, Immortal Unchained and others I'm missing....

RDR 2 won't be discounted. Spider-Man will be $45-50. Black Ops 4 will be $45-50. Everything else including God of War will get a significant discount somewhere.

Just my guesses of course.

GTA V released in November 2014, and it never got discounted that year BF. Rockstar games tend to hold value pretty well so don't get your hopes up for discount yet.

As much of an assassin's creed fan I am, that's why I don't get them day one anymore. Within 30 days of release, it would roughly 50% off.

Absolutely.

I shouldn’t even be buying Odyssey now at all; I’m like six games behind. However; like a true CAG; I can’t refuse a good deal when I see one.

The last game in the series I played was Black Flag, and that was just last year!

That's such a stale list. Can't say I would want to play another one of those at any price.

With Red Dead 2 and Smash Bros Ultimate coming soon I don't really need to buy any games on BF anyway.

I bought God of War, Detroit, and Spider-Man at launch. I will be buying Red Dead 2 and Smash at launch. The most important games get purchased and played right away. There’s really not much else to play, so that’s why I wait on those “stale games”. Like others have said; they all drop to about 50% off by Black Friday, and I find that I usually buy the same franchise titles almost every year.

I'm not comparing them at all. I was simply pointing out how multiple people said that there's no way Evil Within 2 would be discounted for Black Friday because it was too new and it ended up being discounted.

I won't get my hopes up, I don't even want RDR2. I don't believe it's up to Rockstar, though, I believe it's up to the retailers. If they can lure customers to their stores by discounting a popular video game and then sell them a bunch of other shit, they will.

 
I will miss TRU from this year's BF line-up.  I think they had stores open up crazy early and was a great sanctuary from the cold stark night.

I agree with this statement. I want it, but I am trying to hold out for black friday. If it doesn't drop in price for that day, then I'll probably pick it up sonetime after Christmas.

If I were a betting man, I would say no, it won't drop. The only thing I'd lose out on is the free DLC preorder bonus... Which I'd love to have cause the War Horse in RDR was bad ass. I'm probably going to shoot myself in the ass for missing it, but I'm really not in a hurry to play it. Backlog is rediculous, so of it does or doesn't drop, it really doesn't affect me much.

GTA5 dropped on Black Friday the year it came out so it took 2 months to drop when it came out for the PS3 / 360. Took over a week when it was released again for the PS4 / XB1 for that years BF. Both drops were at Walmart.

Some people debated whether it was supposed to be for the PS4 / XB1 versions but at least for me it rang up for $25 in store no problem. Others might have had issues at the time.

Wish I could show that others got it but no one talked about it in the 2014 BF thread other than one person that also got it for $25.

I went out to walmart that year and it wouldn't work, so I dunno. The ad does specifically only show 360 and PS3 versions, and it just seems crazy that they would reduce it that much a week after release.

i do think RDR2 will get a drop but probably just to ~40, kinda doubt it'll go lower.

 
I'm conflicted on RDR2. Like I'm scared it will end up being a slight letdown like GTA V was when it came to having a half baked single player and an MTX fest online mode.

But at the same time I could enjoy the setting and such... So I'll wait for reviews from sources I trust like ACG on YouTube.
 
I checked out that Black Friday video n I wonder how we will act when we run out of food. Black Friday is a devil day were we idolize material things n act like we really need these items to be happy. All we need is Jesus.
Please don't think I don't go to Black Friday, I just show up Friday morning when their r few people there n if I get the things I want, awesome if I don't, I keep it moving. No biggie.
