Any reason to buy the PS5 Cowabunga Collection for $10 more than the PS4 version?
71b1pp.jpg

Best Buy had a couple of winners.

$30 for Returnal

$10 for Last of Us 2

$30 for Persona 5 Royal (Switch; I have PS4 version already but want the portability)

I still want to see if Valkyrie Elysium and DioField Chronicle hit some nice discounts next week. So far, doesn't look like anything on the horizon indicates that.

Ya know, $75 is terrible but $49.99 for new controllers is not bad at all. Especially when you can use red card.

I'm used to the years and years of buying PS3 and PS4 controllers for $30-$40 so everything seems expensive now, but this isn't bad one bit. Black Friday is the only time to buy controllers unless your picking up a LE.

I weep for the souls buying used controllers of anything at Gamestop. Buy one in a box this week and stick it on your shelf for later.

I'm finally getting my Galactic Purple
Agreed! I grabbed the new Lunar Shift and might grab another DualSense while it’s at this price.

Was just able to grab Ratchet & Clank from Best Buy. Was hoping they had a better price on Doom Eternal so I will just wait on Gamestop

The dev said it's the exact same game with no benefits at all on the PS5. Same loading speeds, graphics, and so on. Nothing at all unique to that experience. So, the main reasons to spend the extra $10 is the PS5 box (if you collect PS5 specific releases) and possibly having a separate (but same) trophy list.

Echoing this point but also I heard the PS4 disc was confirmed to have the PS5 Upgrade available via store for free ; so even IF you wanted to play the ps5 version you could with the PS4 copy. Really the PS5 collection point is the only thing I can think of now.

I searched on some other PSN profile forums and research as I just purchased the PS4 copy myself for $20 too.

EDIT:

So there's been nooooo deal for RE Village GOLD yet - right? I was holding out hope but as more and more ads leak its looking bleak.

When I heard RE V Gold was just a DLC Voucher in a box, I decided to just grab the base game from Best Buy for 20 bucks and I'll get the DLC at a later time.

So annoyed that I missed out on Dusk Diver 2 for PS5, as I wasn't paying attention and didn't know the sale had already gone live (and of course I was able to get ALL the others I wanted). Sucks too, since it's such a niche title that I'm sure it won't get re-stocked. Ugh

It'll get restocked, though the real question is whether that'll happen during the sale period.

Are DualShock 4’s on sale anywhere? I need to scoop some of them up. The ones I have are so old that they barely hold a charge anymore.

Am I the only one who...can't really find anything to buy? And the CAG shopping addiction in me really wants to, but the land is barren. I feel like I already bought everything this year, at cheaper prices from Gamefly, CDkeys, etc. Or bought it last year.

Managed to pick up Sifu and Miles Morales on PS4 for $20 even though I mostly use my XSX. Just so that I could participate in the sales lol. And waiting for that $29 Sonic Frontiers. But that's pretty much it.

I also bought the exact same games and I think I am done for this year. Have a few smaller games on my wishlist which are not on sale. So maybe during the new year sale!

Yea, I have snatched up a few deals, a few games that won't go on sale (older stuff), and primarily eyeing Digimon Survive.

Hoping the Steam Sale has a few things since I have a gift card.

sonic PS5 is $35 next week and the ‘red’ dual sense is a pink/purple color. Nowhere near red.

The games I was gunning for this Black Friday were just Ratchet and Clank (PS4), Xenoblade 3, and Kirby Forgetten land. Apparently I was being ambitious with 2 of those 3 since I've only seen deals dropped for R&C. Walmart might be the last hope.

Ugh, that is lame! Why can't we just have a dark red controller?

Sonic being $5 more on PS5 is fine. I may just be cheap and get the PS4 copy( Upgrade to PS5 is free)

I was kind of hoping Valkyrie Elysium would be $20 somewhere, but I guess it's too new of a Square game.  Should be $20 sometime next year, though.

Do you think TMNT Cowabunga Collection will be $20 again (I was tracking PS4 for the record)? It was that price earlier Friday but I stupidly waited too long and they sold out. The only other place I've seen it for that is GameStop and I'd like to avoid there because their shipping is too high for just the one item.

Also, in a similar vein, does anyone think Shredder's Revenge with have a similar price job this holiday season? Similar game, release date, etc.

My Haul so far

Taiko Switch $25

TMNT Cowabunga $20

Two point Campus $20

Capcom Fighting Collection $20

KOF XV $20

Dusk Diver 2 $20

GTA Trilogy $20

The Quarry $20

The Ascent $15

Story of Seasons: Pioneers $20

Lost Judgment $15

Yurukill $20

Sackboy $20

Ghost of Tsushima DC $20

Soul Hackers 2 $30

Waiting on The following

Digimon Survive $17 @ Shitstop

Pac Man World Re Pac $20 @ Target

Sonic Frontier $30 @ Walmy

Dying Light 2 @ Walmy
Where did you get Capcom Fighting Collection for $20 if you don't mind me asking?

Do you think TMNT Cowabunga Collection will be $20 again (I was tracking PS4 for the record)?
I would like to think so. It's too good of a deal for many to sleep on. Would want it for the Switch since I have Shredder's Revenge on there but wouldn't turn down a PS4 copy.

Is there any new info on Xbox releasing a new version of the Series X controller with dual sense like features? I feel like a lot of people buying up controllers this Black Friday might be disappointed when they release an updated version next year.

I haven't looked at all of the ads but so far, I might just get an extra dualsense for 50 bucks(starlight blue)and look for a cheap copy of L.A. Noire. Doesn't seem like there is a must buy yet or some amazing deal that is coming up.

The gaming services are making it more and more less likely I will actually be buying nearly as many games as I used to. Seems like the only ones you need to buy are the ones that are pretty much guaranteed to never be on any services like Nintendo switch games and certain first party Sony games.

I was counting on most of Square’s recent output to be on sale, but I haven’t seen anything… not even Triangle Strategy.

Two years ago I would’ve balked at spending more than $20 on any Sony exclusive game, but I’ve been waiting for Returnal and Tsushima to hit under $30 since they released and it just hasn’t happened.

I finally found an Xbox Series X at a Target store last night, and that was my big holiday want. Even so, I'm waiting to open it in case I get buyer's remorse.

Other than that, I'll probably buy some cheap Xbox gift cards from Dollar General on Thanksgiving Day and use that credit and some Microsoft Rewards credit to scrape up a couple of games from the Xbox store for the winter sale punch card.

But the fact is that Game Pass has changed the landscape and these prices aren't mind-blowing, so I expect to see a lot of these games showing up on sale for less in January and February when they don't sell in November and December. :speaktothehand:

I sent a price match request to Amazon yesterday morning for the $25 Switch Cowabunga Collection, and it went UP from $35 back to $40 about an hour later. Waited for a few hours, gave up, and actually grabbed it from GameStop. Just noticed today that Amazon finally matched it on all systems, and everything except the PS4 is currently sold out. Glad I didn't wait!

Bought similar monitors like I did last year though its a bit more expensive and has one additional HDMI port and its dual colored unlike last year's model.

Still $129.99 for a $269.99 monitor isnt too bad. Bought two of them for my dual set up and the one I am using (from last year) will be my second monitor for side activity for my gaming set up.

Is there a website to search through BF deals by category and whatnot? I remember last year, someone made a really nice spreadsheet for deals by games/retailer but guessing that's not around this year.
