Whenever someone mentions Predator, I always think of Commando. I liked Predator also, but liked Commando more from what I remember. It's been a while since I last saw it.

I don't understand what the studios are waiting for either.

I am just dyeing to get my hands on Bourne for Blu-ray more than anything though.
Too bad it doesn't include the 128mb Batman flash drive that the DVD will have:
What can one do with 128 megs anymore? I mean, come on.

I probably wouldn't use it...unless it comes pre-loaded with content...but it says "Batman Flash Drive" so I'm expecting it to look cool or atleast have a batman logo engraved or painted on.

Don't worry, Fox is releasing Commando the same day as Predator! :D

And I still want to know what the hell MGM is doing. They need to get off their asses and actually release some movies. Such as Princess Bride which has been postponed forever.

Commando's pq is amazing on the import. Extras are terrible.. AQ is great as well.

Nowhere near what I am legend is though.. or even Enchanted.. yeah I know.
Wow, I Robot got a GLOWING review at HDD.
And yet Fox is screwing the Blu-ray customer yet again by making their packaging look like the BD contains all the features on the SD All-Access Collector's Edition when, in fact, many of them have been edited down from that earlier version (see details at the BD's review at highdefdigest.com). Hell, since they're all still SD extras anyway, Fox could have just added that 2nd disc from the earlier C.E. instead of truncating the extras and squeezing them on a single BD. This frankly scares the hell out me--how am I ever going to be able to trust Fox packaging now, if there's no indication that they're providing edited-down versions of previously available SD extras?

Couldn't agree more. Although I feel Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance is his crowning achievment.

This is why I don't buy Fox titles until they BOGO or go under $20. I would have purchased ID4 and I, Robot, yet when they remove features for no apparent reason, I won't buy it for their asking price. They could have easily fit those missing features on the disc in SD as there is plenty of room left. Boggles my mind.

yea, i picked up man on fire for 19.99 from amazon

i should of read the review, cause there's not a single special feature on the disk

i usually don't mind double dips, but this seems deliberate which makes me want to not buy them at all unless i can get them for cheap

I'm looking for advice on what I should do regarding Blu-Ray. The death of HD-DVD has really put me in a hard place and I'm trying to come up with a solution.

I know that the PS3 is the best Blu-Ray player but it's not a choice for me. My current setup only has a DVI/VGA input on it and they are both in use with my PC/Xbox 360.

So, I was thinking maybe a internal PC drive would be the answer. That way I could retire my 360 HD-DVD add-on too. Only problem is my PC is fairly old and I'm afraid it will have trouble with playback. P4 3Ghz, 2GB RAM, 6800GT. I also don't have HDCP compliant hardware but I heard that AnyDVD will strip all of that anyways along with region code.

Regarding actual drives, I'm looking into two.

The first one is a LG Blu-Ray/HD-DVD drive for $329.99. It would replace my current DVD drive and not only does it read Blu-Ray/HD-DVD but it also burns Blu-Ray discs. I don't really have any plans on burning any Blu-Ray disc but it would be pretty cool to be able to.

The second is also a LG Blu-Ray/HD-DVD drive for $237.14 but this one doesn't burn Blu-Ray discs. It would also be replacing my current DVD drive.

If I actually buy one of these, I still have a problem.

I recently bought a pair of wireless headphones so I could watch movies at night without waking anybody up. I currently have it hooked up to my 360 but I would want to use it on my PC if I buy one of these drives. What are my options for using these without disconnecting my 5.1 speakers? It has your standard red/white plugs. Would I be able to use the red/white to headphones adapter I have and plug it into the digital out jack on my soundcard?
It's rumored to be April 1st according to a Best Buy release sheet.
2 Weeks away and they have yet to alert retailers to start pre-ordering this title?

Anyone watch and enjoy Hitman? I am not expecting anything great, but was the action good and is the audio/picture quality anything special? I am looking for a action flick from NFlix.

Its not too bad. Worth a rental if you haven't seen it.

Is it wrong of me to fork over $22 for a 2-disc special edition of I Am Legend (standard DVD version) even though the extras are weak? I'm such a completist that it actually bothered me when someone gave me the 1-disc of Harry Potter and OOTP. But with I Am Legend, yeah, they could have done a lot more with the extras, but eh...it is what it is I guess. Anyone else feel the same way?

They have the same extras except for the DVD-ROM thingy.

anyone read something about the rambo 2/3 on blu ray having any special features?

they're both 13.95 (trilogy 34.99) at amazon now, but if they have no special features no point in replacing my import HD DVD's
Sporadic, it might not be an option for you, but I say upgrade your tv first.
Seconded. Especially if your TV has no component HD or HDMI capability at all.

I actually picked it up from my local GameStop for part of the buy 2 get 2 sale. I spent $8 on it. Worth the price of admission since I never saw it in theaters.I also changed my mind about I am Legend. I got in on the Amazon $19 price. I actually enjoyed the movie. More than I thought. I just hope my order ships soon so I can return that Blu to Target. :D

GS has a B2G2 sale...if only my local GS's had Blu-Rays.

I picked up War, i, Robot, We own the Night and Hitman all for about $34. These are all "used". People steal them and return them for cash or games. I almost feel bad. But not really. I still need to watch i, Robot.

A good amount of GS/EB's are doing B2G4 rather than the B2G2.

Oh man...that's a sweet deal...jeleous...except for War...that one sucks bad.

I actually liked it. I hadn't seen it before and wanted to. I thought it was a good
revenge
flick.
picked up saw 4 and casino at target..

hows 3:10?
If you like movies where all that happens ends up being in vain, then you'll like it.

blah.. didnt realize that the comics on the the bd i am legend were the same ones that were on xbl

For some reason i enjoyed the movie more in theatres...

question..

if a movie has a 7.1 track.. will i be missing channels if i only have a 5.1 system?

Should i select the 5.1 option instead?
Did Southland Tales come out on Blu-ray this week, or only on DVD?
only on DVD, no hi-def release date at all.

Any news on whether Love in the Time of Cholera will release on Blu-Ray sometime soon? It just came out on DVD. And where would I go about finding this news myself?

anyone know where you can buy replacement blu ray cases?

i imported the exorcism of emily rose and hills have eyes 1 remake and they're the huge cases

I have I Am Legend, & just ordered 3:10 to Yuma & Crank from the sale on jr.com

And I don't even have a player yet, so I'll have a nice amount to start watching when I get my PS3 on 4/6. (it's because I work at Kmat, and they have an employee appreciation day that day, and everybody gets an extra 10% off, so 40 GB PS3 for $343 after tax)

I ordered The Fifth Element and Transporter 2 from the Amazon sale and they only shipped me The Fifth Element but the receipt and my order status says that they both shipped...how weird. I sent them an e-mail, hopefully they'll send me my Transporter 2.

Also, just got Stargate and The Punisher from JR.com for about $8 ea. Sweet!

EDIT: Also got 3:10 To Yuma (blind buy) and Employee Of The Month

top 5 blu ray movies from week no country was released

1. No Country for Old Men Disney/Miramax Blu-ray
2. Hitman Fox Blu-ray
3. Dan in Real Life Disney/Touchstone Blu-ray
4. Appleseed: Ex Machina Warner Blu-ray
5. Independence Day Fox Blu-ray

maybe this is a sign for fox to lower the price of their catalog titles, ID4 being outsold by Appleseed?

anyone notice that beowulf was the top hi def movie the week before? So since Toshiba's announcement 2 of the 4 weeks were won by HD DVD

Did they win in total sales, or did they just get the #1 spot? Its probably hard for blu ray to win with all these $8 movies.
Would you guys get the BluRay Bonnie and Clyde or the regular DVD Ultimate Collectors edition?
Blu ray version for sure since its getting great reviews. Its one of my top 10 best so its a must buy for me.
