Borderlands discussion - Is Moxxi hot or not?
Spoilered in case someone doesn't want to know-

160 according to the wiki that was posted, 30 in the main story and 130 sidequests.
It seems like so much more..

Does anyone else notice this?

When I leave my controller aiming at the ground and let go of the analog stick it will slowly start moving me toward the center of the screen. Also the same thing sometimes has me looking into the sky.

I tried turning off the controller in case it was a hardware issue on my end.

I have noticed the controller will pull one way or the other sometimes, thought it was my controller lol.

just got the game over the weekend and starting out.
Only at level 5 right now and play time will be sporadic with work,
but please add my XBL tag: tCroll (note: capital-c) and say hi

thanks & good huntin'

Well damn - I thought it was my controller - but if others are having the same problem...

up to 47 (siren) in solo, she's a bit ridiculious with an ignite mod with +4 phoenix on it on top of a maxed phoenix...anything that is lower level will literally smolder after they catch on fire.

I skimmed and didn't see it...could be my tunnel vision from too much zooming.

anyone able to get the "And they'll tell two friends" achievement?
Thanks, they both have accounts, so here's to hoping.
Unfortunately you can't, even if you have two gold accounts. At the main menu, there's the option of single player, split-screen, system link, xbox live, and some other stuff...

Choosing the split-screen option won't let you connect to xbox live and choosing the xbox live option won't let you play split-screen.

I beat this game last night, its pretty awesome game, taking a break before I get the last of the achievements though.

Started playing a couple of days ago. I'm about level 15, really enjoying it so far. Haven't played too much co-op, but what I have, it has been great.

I have it. ~ ~

I got "Two Friends" in the first co-op game I hosted. It seems like it has spread pretty quickly, most people I play with already have it.

Beat the first playthrough tonight! The climb to the final boss was pretty intense with four players. I want to start the second playthrough, but I think I'll hold off on leveling my Siren anymore until the DLC is out. Maybe I'll start up again as a Berserker instead.

ding, 50...still filling up the xp bar though which causes me to believe somewhere down the road there maybe a higher level cap. Looking forward to the DLC coming out. Stil have the trash coast, old haven, and beyond to finish on the 2nd playthrough.

The siren is pretty sick at this level, though it's strange that I'm still using a lvl 31 smg that just seems to be better than everything else that's dropped or sold in the vendors. It's got those crazy spiraling tracer rounds too.

Apparently playing in arena matches is one of the quickest ways to get the two achievement...yay

I'm still using a combat rifle I found when I was level 19 (now 41). It has a huge magazine and my soldier makes it even bigger over 100 shots per clip. While some have higher damage than my rifle, it's still pretty good with 90+ per shot and that many bullets per clip ends a lot of people quickly.

I have "Two Friends." I'm sure Mikey Neumann playing with all those preorders helped get that out there.

I have a 21 Soldier and will gladly co-op with you if you want the achievement or to do a couple missions

The ending
is so anticlimactic, haha

Started play through number two with a friend, and the game became so much fun again.

I have a 16 Soldier and have been looking for someone with this Achievement- can I haz? :D

I has the "and they'll Two Friends" achievement as well. I'm hitting level 46 with my Soldier, man it keeps getting harder once I hit another level. :(

I did jump into an early group so I could get my other characters up to level 6 and start working on them

I got it with my first online match and then I decided I lagged too much to even shoot something lol so thats my first and last online co-op session.

I've got a lvl 28 shock trooper soldier that just kicks ass with electric shotguns and awesome weaponry now. Electrifying!
Patch issued today for the Xbox 360 version.

Some good stuff in there, but still no fixes for save corruption in co-op games, glitched Achievements, Lilith's Silent Resolve skill, and the screwy splash damage for rockets.
So I assume this is why I don't have the corrosive kill and explosive kill achievements even though in the in-game challenge log both of those are complete? Any ETA on a second patch?

I've noticed that too, but now she's melting everything lower level than her with little to no effort. + ignite damage class mod is crazy.

dunno, should be soon though since everyone is waiting for the DLC before end of year.

For anyone that wants the They'll tell two achievement but can't seem to coordinate with someone who already has it, just join a quickmatch, the game will auto log you in with a 1st lvl starter character. Who ever is setting up a quickmatch will more than likely be higher level and boot you...but just being in the lobby with someone else is enough to net the achievement. The probability continues to increase everyday.

I'm having soooo much more fun now. I finally got to a good level and gained the ability to regen ammo and regen+Cobalt Rocket Launcher is just so much fun to use! It's quickly become my main killing weapon. I must admit, though, I'm having a couple of problems. I have a friend that's a lvl. 50 Siren and when he runs across weapons he think I would like he gives them to me, and it was working well until last night. I picked up some swag that he was keeping for me, used it a while and leveled a couple of times, and then we quit and went to try out the L4D2 demo. Later on, I went back to Borderlands to try to do some Bounty Missions and all of the guns he'd given me were gone and I don't know why. I didn't drop them or sell them. They just disappeared. Even the high powered Alien guns he'd given me.

It's a known bug with co-op. Leaving a co-op game may cause your character to lose items or skill points. Safer to host until it gets fixed.

Okay, thanks a lot for the info, Ryuukishi! Hopefully it'll get fixed soon, I really wanted to keep those weapons.

Make sure that if you're not the host, that you Hit Start and physically exit out to the main menu of the game instead of the host saying "Ok, later" then quitting with you still in his game world.

Found an interesting glitch when playing online with my brother. He had a bunch of guns to give me and dropped them all on the ground, I picked them all up. We played for about an hour together and I had to leave. I quit the game and when he started up a new game, all the stuff he had given me was back in his inventory.

Did you still have the items as well? Reminds me of the world-famous Pokemon cloning glitch...

You guys don't know about that already...?

You can dupe easy, just drop your shit and exit to the dashboard. And rejoin, wahlaa. :p
Make sure you don't save and you're gold.

Yeah I still have all the items too, I actually didn't find out about it until a few days later. I don't know about EXP or anything that he gained but he's higher leveled and was helping me do some trivial quests.

That's what I did last night, I'm the first one to quit out of the game each time. Tonight when we play again I'm going to get him to see if he still has the weapons to give me.

Anybody else kind of disappointed in the loot in this game? I know there are supposed to be like 3,000,000+ guns in the game, but it feels more like 3,000,000+ variants of 100 guns. The differences per weapon in some cases are so slight, it's a bit ridiculous to even consider them different weapons. Rather than do it the way they did, I would rather them have made a bunch of different gun parts and them let you mod a basic gun to your liking, kind of like Mass Effect did. The problem I keep running into is every weapon I pick up anymore always has some giant drawback to offset any improvements over my current weapons. If it's a revolver that does double the damage, then it's only a 2 round clip or fires half as fast as my current guns. Not to mention the Pearlescent/Mythic weapons are a big let down too. As far as I can tell, there are only two types of guns with a half dozen variants each.

Yeah there are really only a few different guns and just lots of variants on them. The guns do need drawbacks though, since that would be more realistic. A revolver shouldn't fire as fast as an automatic for example.
Hit Old Haven at level 48 and MAN am I getting Owned good!
Even at 50 those guys and the layout of the map is dangerous. It's actually easier in co-op strangely. I have a secret wpn though that works wonders...though unfortunately it's not a weapon that I prefer to use anyplace else but there.
Anyone know if it's possible to use co-op to get the Claptrap achievement?
Should be able to, I was able to get it with my friend i've been playing with since the start.

Well yeah, I agree with that, but it seems impossible to find a revolver that does 750+ damage, has elemental damage, a decent fire rate and and holds more than 2 rounds. It just sucks because every time I find a new orange gun and get all excited, I end up disappointed by the time I've looked at all it's stats.

Not to sound pretentious or anything, but I have a level 32 hunter and just got through Old Haven without any major problems. I pretty much just got a critical strike headshot on everyone and that was all she wrote. Old Haven is the territory where you are first introduced to the soldiers with heavy armor right? You have to go around and put out the smoke signals in the junkyard, canal, roofs, etc?

This was on playthrough 2, it would be impossible for a lvl 32 anything to waltz through Old Haven. Your shots would do about 1 - 19 pts of damage on a lvl 50 Superbad Commando.

There's a strategy of course to Old Haven, if you stick to it, it's a walk in the park but where's the fun in that?

your class skills and prof bonuses in pistols should more than suffice, my friend the hunter/gunslinger pops Crimson lance with about 1-2 shots from his revolver where as I'm spraying bullets like there's going out of style.

there's some nice revolvers that hold 6 rounds, they're already hand sniper rifles with faster action.

I'm still using a lvl 31 smg on my lvl 50 siren, I haven't found a better smg that has better dmg, accuracy, rof, or added bonuses...but when I do I'll have a false sense of accomplisment and relief.

there's also been a glitch due to font size where some item attributes aren't all visible. You may notice 2 items with similar stats and the one that looks like it would be less valuable, even lower level to have a higher sell value. best thing to do is just test drive the weapons and mods and see what works better for you.

I suppose it was a bit misleading to make it sound like there were 3 million guns in the game, but I still enjoyed picking up the different weapons and stumbling upon that one I that fell in love with for a few levels.

Anyone wanna jump on some time today and trade the duel achievements?

Thanks! My freind and I have collected a good bit of them and now we realized the achievement was there so we're going for it.

Question: Me and a buddy just finished our first play through of the campaign on co-op from start to finish. Good Times!! We both reached level 38.

No we are going back and finishing off the side quest and getting the remaining claptrap's. We noticed that enemies are SUPER weak and only giving us so little EXP. No where as much as before.

Wanting to reach Level 50 and get the achievement, what would be the best way to gain EXP at this point? Start a second play through? :twoguns: Or are there any easy/glitch methods?

Definitely starting a new playthrough. It's the best way to gain level 50. I've been playing with my friend on his second playthrough and it's seriously raised my level.
Has anyone tried installing the game to see if it helps load times?
I found that it loads much faster after you install the game.

Just got this game today, played single player until level 10 and did multiplayer until level 18. Send me a FR if you want some co-op.

Tell me about it man. I used my level 13 SMG until level 28 when I was able to buy a better one in a shop. About an hour after buying one, I found another SMG that did 65 damage and that's my best SMG so far. It's a level 28 SMG and I'm level 32'ish (don't really remember). I find SMGs all the time, but they rarely go over 30 damage.
