Brawl Nights - Tonight's the night!

Damn, I'm free now and haven't gotten to play in a couple weeks. New people add me please, the code is in the first post.

Good games to all those I played with (JoeB, Daisydog, Jack).

Most memorable was JoeB reflecting an item with Ness's bat and most epic imo was Mario v Mario.

Not a fan of the spam grabs tho ;)

I may play later on, for now I've gotta watch some more 24.
 
Good games guys. Had some really funny moments there with Joe and Jack. Joe's Mario cape attack gets me every time :rofl:

Is anyone still playing?
 
Sammy, I felt like part of the family in those game where we started to go after your brother when he was Snake and we picked two light weights :lol:

I was playing Persona 3 FES that I lost track of a lot of time. that game is addicting as hell. :roll:
 
GGs to FallMoon, her brother, Mad D, Janet, jman, and whoever else I played with tonight. The team games with me and Daisydog against FM and her brother were really exciting, in my opinion. :) The first game I was like, "WTH, I can't hit Janet!" Then I figured it out. XD

Janet, great 1v1s afterward. You've gotten SO MUCH BETTER! I definitely underestimated you, and it cost me that first duel between Link and Yoshi. :) Do you want to be a part of Joe's Mad Goo? ;)

I've been having fun at Brawl Nights, everyone, but I'm going to be MIA for a while. I'm packing my stuff for school (I leave on Friday). I'd be active once I settle down in the new place, but I've only heard horror stories about the apartment's wireless internet. I'll certainly try to connect a few times, but I can't imagine the game will be playable. Surely, I'll figure something out. See you until then!

PS - I'll need someone to learn Yoshi, Ness, Dedede, and Mario so he/she can terrorize CAG in my absence. Thanks in advance! ;)
 
Ahh man, Joe's going to be gone. That kind of makes me sad :lol: My favorite CAG to play against. I will do your evil bidding as long as I'm not out somewhere doing something.
 
I'll take up the Mario chalice in your stead, and work better at actually knowing what the hell to do with him.

Also, there's no way your connection could be worse than mine. I think we pay someone to hold the rabbit ears and tin foil around here.

School seems to start early. Tell those people to chill out until mid-September.

Thanks for the compliment Joe :D We had pretty good team work on a few of those. I hope I didn't annoy you with some of my character choices. I just get tired playing the same ones over and over. But the best moment was when it was just you against pokemon trainer and samus. You were at the edge of the stage, and I swear for like 15 seconds strait you were dodging wave after wave of missiles, energy beams and leaf attacks. Not even attacking very much, just dodging everything like you were playing a shoot 'em up. I could not stop laughing! :lol:

Strell, you're a pretty good Luigi. You could probably do well as Mario too. I've always wanted to get better with Ness but beside Joe's, Jack has the best one.
 
Yar, I do luvs my Weegee. But he's more different than Mario than, say, Dr. Mario and Mario were back in Melee.

It's like how Ganondorf is the worst character in the game despite having a near identical moveset to one of the best - there's just a big margin in how you play Mario vs Luigi.

But no matter - I'll continue in the stead of DE BOSS.
 
I don't have the foggiest clue how to be a good snake. I think I have the worst snake. :cry: Brawl night is still going to happen. It will probably start 9PM EST. I don't believe that ever got enough people to get a good game going. I think this will be my last week doing this. I have to shift my focus to jobs and my career. Someone could probably take my position.

Good games JoeB and DaisyDog. I had fun in some of those matches, especially the ones where it was narrowed down to me and my brother throwing a barrage of projectiles at JoeB, and seeing him dodge them successfully.

DaisyDog, when JoeB said you beat him in that first "duel", he was referring to you taking the first LIFE, right?

I hope to battle you guys again tonight or tomorrow.

Having a near identical moveset to Captain Falcon just EMPHASIZES how bad of a character Ganondorf is. Captain Falcon is one of the worst characters, although I did see a Captain Falcon beat an Olimar yesterday, which replenishes my hope in him.
It was my C. Falcon, but I'll keep the Olimar a secret!

Very funny! I know my Link doesn't even come close to your Link, and you barely even use Link :lol:

Don't really remember what happened. We were down to our last stock and he was hanging over the edge. When he came back I did that attack with the my chain and he was like, "What the!?" and it caused him to block wrong and so I got him with a forward A... but I don't really remember ;)

Haha, I actually wasn't joking. I wasn't insulting your Link when I assumed you took the first life; I was just taking into account how ridiculously good JoeB's Yoshi is, and although you've become an overall better player throughout these months, I didn't think it was possible for you to beat JoeB's Yoshi! Kudos to you!

JoeB, this hasn't changed my thoughts about your Yoshi one bit. It was late at night, we had plenty of battles prior to the one you had with DaisyDog, and it may have caused you to fight differently.

Also DaisyDog, I have a lot of past experience with Link, which is why mine was able to beat yours.
 
Hell, I think I beat Joe's yoshi with my falcon yesterday.

Not kidding. ;)
If it's any consolation, I think that's the only time I won (instead of getting raped by skill/lag).
 
I'd just like to mention that items were on in my matches against Foo. Not saying anything about his skill, just that he's better able to utilize the items on the map. :) I should work on that.
 
Hi guys and girl(s). Hero called me and told me to tell everyone he won't be able to play or host (I can't remember) the brawl tonight because he's hanging out with his girlfriend *shocked*. Just letting you peeps know! :)

Edit: I'm jealous of all the sigs. Mad D will be finished with mine when I turn 30. :p
 
Well Strell, if you decide to play, you should post it here, and then I'll sign on. Don't want to leave Brawl running again! That's probably what broke it in the first place.

Also, I agree with you Strell. I'm pretty sure it was the items that made the games so ridiculously fun. Remember when I ALMOST finished your Ganondorf off with Olimar, but at the instance of using my up-smash, I just HAD to hit an explosive and kill myself? Also, that was hilarious when I threw a bob-bomb at Hero when he was at 15% and it killed him.

If you guys are getting on again tonight (or anyone else for that matter), consider turning on items!
