Sounds like kiddie shovelware. Must be Wii-only. Real men play HumorlessDeathGame on 360/PS3.
What is with Kirby?
Every reviewer gave it so so reviews yet I can't find it anywhere (on sale), Amazon won't include it on their B1G150 sale, and most of the time it is 3rd party sellers asking $60+ for it?
For a game that came out months ago???
Oct. 24 isn't really that long ago, especially for a first party Nintendo title.

All two day shipping for prime is free. I have been opting for longer shipping because I have to many games, and they give you .99 cents for amazon mp3s racked up almost 10 dollars.

I'm just noticing 2 of the psp dual packs are included in the sale. Just ordered Secret Agent Clank / Daxter and Logan's Shadow / Killzone: Liberation.

Man, I was really hoping the 39.99 Saints Row The Third was still in here. That and Skyrim for $80 would be a merry Christmas indeed. Oh well.

I wish there was a way to buy (2) copies of Skyrim (360) and convert one of them into a PC version. I wonder if I could walk a 360 version into a store and do a one-for-one swap...

You can do that at any walmart. But most folks around here don't encourage that type of behavior. Even though their policy clearly states they'll allow any kind of swapping up to 3 times in a 45 day period, people on here don't like that.

I want to get Cave Story 3D and Devil Survivor Overclocked, but I can't bring myself to pay $30 each for games that can be had in similar versions for much cheaper/free.

Why is it discouraged? Is it because it's viewed as unethical or because it impacts the stock/availability? Nothing jumps out at me as being scummy, but there's probably some perspective I'm lacking...

Ok guys, I'm considering three $20 Xbox 360 games, and I'd like some opinions on them. I bought my 360 during the BF sales, and I've already built up a nice library of older games and newer Kinect titles. However, I'm seriously considering the following 3 games:

1. Orange Box - I heard the PS3 port was bad, so I never bothered to get it. The 360 version is a much better port, and even though I don't plan on playing Team Fortress, getting Half-Life 2, Episode 1, Episode 2 and Portal for $15 sounds like a great deal.

2. Mass Effect - I bought the PS3 version of ME2 when it dropped to $20, but now that I have a 360, I think I want to play the original. Is the original still worth playing? Also, if I buy the original, would it be better to just sell off the PS3 version of ME2 and pick up the 360 version since all my decisions in ME1 will directly tie into my 360 version of ME2? I know the PS3 version has all the extra DLC, but I'm not sure if it's worth giving up the DLC to have the Xbox 360 games tie together more seamlessly. I know I have the option of using the digital comic on the PS3 version to approximate the decisions I make in ME1, so there's always that option.

3. Halo Wars - I've never played a console RTS (not counting DS games), and I've heard that this is the best one. I'm not sure how this game holds up compared to the first 2, but I'm definitely intrigued by this game.

I think Orange Box is probably a no-brainer for $15, but I'd appreciate some suggestions on what my 2nd game should be. I'm leaning towards Mass Effect, but if I go with that, I'd like some opinions on whether or not I should stick with the 360 for the entire series or if it's OK to play the sequel, and by extension, the 3rd game on the PS3. Thanks in advance.

Have you played ME2 yet? The gameplay is significantly refined and improved in the sequel, but ME1 is still well worth playing. The story is fantastic and while not necessary to enjoy the game, being able to carry your Shepard and his decisions from one game to another is one of the coolest aspects of the ME series.
2. Mass Effect
Yes, ME is very much worth playing. Better even better storytelling than ME2. Personally I would keep the ps3 version of ME2 and not worry too much about the carryover between games. Or you could wait to pick up a 360 version of ME2 that will include DLC, which will probably come out eventually.

Not sure if this is allowed so if not I apologize in advance. I want to buy a PS3 Wireless Headset and this B1G1 50% off is a good deal if I had a friend to buy another one as well....since I don't, I'm looking for someone to split the cost of two PS3 Wireless Headsets. I realize I'm new to this forum so I'm preferably looking for someone established within this forum so that I can go first in the deal to alleviate any concerns. Thanks.

I like Halo Wars even though a lot of people didn't. If you go in thinking 'it's an RTS", you should be fine. I just think a lot of people were like "OMGZ, HALO!" ...

I played a little bit of ME2 but not enough to feel that I'm invested in it or have a real feel for the game.

I've gone through the comic on the PS3 version, so I know all the major decisions are covered. However, I'm wondering if anything got lost in translation. In other words, does the PS3 comic cover every decision from ME1 that has a consequence in ME2, or are there minor points from ME1 that affected the 360 version of ME2 but aren't really covered in the PS3 version?

Halo Wars interests me because it's supposed to be a great console RTS, which is a rarity. I'm just not sure if it's worth getting this over ME or The Orange Box.

OK, I'm going to go ahead and get Orange Box and ME. However, I'd still like some opinions on whether or not to play the entire series on the 360 or just stick with my copy of ME2 on the PS3 and finish the series there.

Hey, i was checking out Catherine on ps3 and I saw the Special Offers Available link under the price. The deal is if you buy 2 copies of the standard ps3 version you get 50% off one copy. So it comes out to $60 for 2 copies. The trade in value for the ps3 version is $27 so if you trade one in you would be getting one copy for $33. Or if you can sell a copy for $40 its even better.

The policy is so you can return items without a receipt because some people lose them one way or another (or discard them). You are knowingly and willingly exploiting this for profit, which is return fraud (illegal). Please don't treat it like it's just some community mentality thing.

Is there a trick to making this work? I went through the link and added MLB: The Show 2011 (29.99) and Back to the Future (19.99), both PS3 games that are eligible for this sale, and even at the final page of checkout before hitting the button to submit the order, they're both at full price for a total of $49.xx instead of down around $39. Am I doing something wrong here?

Edit: I've also tried it with other eligible games from various systems and am still not getting any results.

Mass Effect on the 360 is really cool to play. The first one has a better story than the 2nd, and being able to control all the little choices in ME1 and see them play out in ME2 is one of the best aspects of the series IMO. Definitely worth your time and money.

Members have gotten their Catherine copies rejected in the amazon TIV thread. I on the other hand had it go through successfully recently. Thus its a crapshoot. Just be aware of that.

It would depend on...
if any of your crew died during your run of ME 2 I would, or you made any decisions you like to remake (not blowing up the ship at the end). I picked up ME1 recently and plan on getting through 1 and 2 with everyone alive and with decisions I'm confident with hah

I would play the entire ME series on the 360 just because you can import your saves from ME 1 to ME 2 to eventually ME 3 while you can't on ps3(only ME2 to ME3). I think it's worth it considering the 360 ME2 is probably cheap by now.

Sure, ME2 can be found cheap these days. The DLC however...

Well, after reading reviews I jumped on 2 more games in this deal. The world ends with you and fragile dreams for $16 each tax and all seems to be a good deal looking at ebay prices.
The week before Christmas they'll have the b2g1. I'll save my GCs for that.
B2G1 is the same as B1G50%
B2G1 is the same as B1G50%
Math time.

Let's say all the titles you're about to buy are $40.

B1G50%: $40 / 2 = $20 + $40 = $60

$60 / 2 = each game costs $30

B2G1: $40 x 2 = $80

$80 / 3 = each game costs $26.66

In other words, you save almost five dollars per game in a B2G1 in this scenario.
B2G1 is the same as B1G50%
I used to think the same too ... but as Cheapskate's math shows, it's not.

A B1G50% is the individual game cost equivalent of a B3G1F.

I think Confooscious is also factoring tax. The difference is almost neglible. Its hard to compare those deals because you need to factor in need of games, timing, availability, and any existing credit.

I could be wrong but I think he's saying that if you buy TWO games in the B1G50% then at that point you're essentially getting one free... Although it's still not the same because no matter what you're still stuck paying the 50% for the second 50% off game.

Nope. Just didn't have my coffee. However, I'll take a B1G50%off over B2G1 free on amazon because I find it's almost impossible to find a third game on amazon for B2G1 because of their pricing. If i get two $54 and one $52 game, I feel like I lost out somehow. At best buy, everything is $60. Purely psychological I know.

That's good since the other method you were discussing is illegal.

ah man wth?!? the Tritton Detonator xbox headsets were part of the B2G50%off yesterday but now that I was given the green light to buy it isn't on there now...

my total went from $102.95 to $135.94.

it is still being sold by amazon.com so I don't get why it is no longer part of the deal, it is still part of the deal on the Toys'r'us B1G50%off but I have to pay tax+shipping there...

So I had to rush an order through, but which link should I contact Amazon through to get my order amount adjusted? :whistle2:?

um... what? How is it illegal to exchange a 360 version of a game for a PC version of a game?

When I'd originally pre-ordered Fallout 3 for the PS3, it was before they'd announced that there wouldn't be DLC for it. When I got it, Gamestop let me just swap it for one of their 360 copies they had on the shelf. I don't understand what about this is illegal...

Buying something from one retailer and returning it to another for full credit/cash/a different item is return fraud. In the Gamestop case, was that because you pre-ordered there and wanted to swap it from them? That's fine, but not the same as purchasing something somewhere else during a sale.

Walmart allows this up to 3 times in a 45 day period, they know what goes on, they don't care. That is, without a receipt.

But say I buy a game at GS for 59.99 and it goes on sale at best buy 9.99 two weeks later, you don't think I'm gonna buy it from them and return a sealed GS copy? Heck yeah. That's why Best Buy their 30 day PM policy.
