Richbastard was banned the other day after another moronic topic about how the xbox360 suck and it was losing games to the other platforms. My guess is its a temporary ban. Seems like the work load for the Mods has increased lately. To many annoying threads by the same core group of 4-5 noobs.

Cheapy's response to this was something along the lines of "I love how people think posting anonimously really means I can't figure out who you are." It also included the quote you see in my sig below.

I am never getting rid of that quote. It is pure pwnage. :D

This really is a good thread... It kinda takes me back to the good old days of the early IRCs and FreeNets and the USENET news groups.

After all these years, I still have a soft spot for a well-worked troll (anybody remember the old Kibo/Kibology stuff from USENET?), but the art of hilariously positioning a troll has been dying for years. Nowadays jerkish behavior rules the day, and it's kinda too bad.
 
I agree with Scobie. I miss the people like DDF & DLF. They were annoying but it was almost a love to hate type deal. Now all we have on the boards is 14 year olds, being 14 year old kids with no filter

Btw, as I'm a regular at Digital Press, I had the (mis)fortune of seeing electrictroy get himself banned there just recently (as KevinPSX). He made some hilarious threads sharing letters he wrote to an ex and was considering sending to her, bitching about ebay, sharing that he lived in a motel because it was cheaper, and lots of other nonsense. His banning was very similar to his CAG banning - the mods just had enough of him and he was banned quietly.

And though he was an odd guy, DDF didn't bother me. I'd welcome him back. He fell for this April Fools Day gag and thought he was going to be a mod, and shortly before he left, he made a thread of people he was going to ban when he became a mod. I asked to be added to the list, but he left right before I made my reply. :(

Lina was the most annoying in my mind. Troy was probably a close second mainly because he would start an arguement in every thread. It's amazing the number of forums that guy was banned from. I remember awhile ago doing a google search on him when CAG was having all the trouble and think he is active on the Michelle Kwan forums, lol.
 
For the morbidly curious, electrictroy apparently has a blog now. I think it's great that he finally found an outlet for his ramblings outside of other people's forums (though his posts about going back to college to hit on teenagers are still creepy).
