Dude, it'll be like 3AM your time at the absolute earliest. Not even I can have that kind of dedication...

seconded, I'll be playing tomorrow although from like 8 to 11 or so I'll be at Circa de Solei or whatever, I'm not sure what it's called, that travelling circus thing that they show on Bravo sometimes.

I envy you since their doing the "Love" tour... big beatles fan myself.

I'll stay up till 3 am to play. I want a few first hours on it , plus I'll be busy all day tommorow.

Unfortunately, I doubt they will ever make any of the 2D fighters BC.
 
Anthology.

The DC version is based off the Naomi version of SFA3 Upper which had differences from the original arcade version.

The choice is ultimately yours, but when I choose a game I always get the one that is closest to the arcade version of the game. If you're just going to be playing by yourself/for fun the DC one has a World Tour mode, but Anthology has so much extra stuff.

Can't wait for Capcom Classics Collection 2.
 
it all depends on if you want world tour mode or not. I personally love world tour mode, but SFAA is a great buy anyway even though I still have yet to pick it up myself.
 
I think that having SFA 2 is also a lot better than having SFA 3's World Tour mode... you just get a lot more meaningful content with the anthology.

I'm sorta looking forward to CCC 2, but there's not many new games... I really hope Capcom hurries up with their inevitable CPS 2 collections.

Man I would be up tonight to get this but I just started my new job this Monday and I have to be at work by 8AM. Looks like I will just get it tomorrow when I get out. If anyone wants to play tomorrow send over an invite.

fuck... I'm realizing a third of the reason why I'm getting pretty pissed at DoA4 is because the AI has too easily of a time predicting when to counter. If it played the same, but was more human about countering I think the AI would be great, but this is just getting kind of stupid (not that anything is stupid, just the situation).

I think I've nailed down who I'll lay as and I was right abotu it the whole time: Ein. looks like I'm going to have to relearn him.

if it's all rock paper scissors, then why are some people consistently better than others? Why would they even bother having leaderboards? are the guys on top just lucky or what? :p i'm just poking fun, but they are good questions, eh?

can't say I really care that much about the doa debate right now...in the middle of the semester when the pressure's on, I let off my stress in weird ways :lol:

there's not as much to learn as tekken or vf, but there's enough to learn to make it very enjoyable...especially for those of us who don't have as much time to play.

Well I got my preorder in at NCSX, but it's gonna be expensive. Something like $65 + $8 shipping. I only bought it there because I need the game ASAP. If you're not spazzing out every time you watch a match video like I am, then you'd probably be fine buying it from Play-Asia.com since it'd end up being a lot less... assuming you ask for a $5 off coupon in the Deals forum.

I've ordered from NCSX before, great service thus far. I wouldn't mind ordering from them since I still need to get Guilty Gear XX Slash and KOF XI....so it isn't so bad paying 8 bucks for shipping if you are buying a couple games.

Will pre-ordering from NCSX take longer, since essentially they have to wait on their order from an asian supplier?
 
SF II Hyper Edition for the win :)

They really fixed the lag problem during beta testing. Now it's actually playable. For now at least lol.
 
can't wait to play some SF2 tomorrow night. hopefully MS takes notice and gets some more fighters on there.

They work like Gamestop in that they'll usually get stuff the day after the release date... but there's quite a few times that they'll get it the day of release as well.

I'm just messing with ya. I don't feel like an all out DOA war either, that arguement's done and past. After all I own most of the series. I do wish I owned DOA4 so I could get in all the action. But I'm not about to drop $400 for a system I'm only gonna play 2 games on.

DOA4 did make Brad Wong a much cooler character. He's really fun to use. Much better than DOA3.For a point when my friend owned it I was having alot of fun online.

Rolento - Serious dude, when SvC Card Fighters comes out, we gotta get togther and play. That games gonna be awsome.
 
I was into the MUGEN scene about 5 years ago, so I'm not up on the latest news. Couple questions about Mugen:

- Do they have a MAC version?
- Are their pre made MUGEN packages, so you don't have to go around downloading characters and stages?
 
anyone familiar with Capcom Vs. SNK 2?

I'm having trouble unlocking Shin Akuma. Whether I play with a C-Groove or a N-Groove, I always end up fighting Ultimate (God) Rugal at the end.

Am I doing something wrong?

Great news. I'm glad to see more and more third-party games on the Wii.

Here's hoping it uses the standard controller though. I don't wanna use the Wiimote for any fighters ouside Smash Bros.
 
Given that SF II just made it's XBLA debut, let's have some strategic disscussion about the game. Tips, advice, etc...

I'm a total scrub at the old SF games, so somebody else go first.

guile is usually one of the easiest to play with. he's got fast moves and has decent reach. my usual BnB combo with him is:
jumping hp+standing hp+ sonic boom+ forward hp that usually dizzies them and will leave em open for a second go at the combo.


does blanka have some of those other roll attacks in this version?i think i remember him having a diagonal roll that was pretty awesome, unlike the later versions of him have( i'm talking about the charge down+ up k move)
