CAG League Sports: Madden 12 "JV League" - We Finished 3 Seasons! Thanks Everybody!!!

I definitely want to play the game either against a player or the CPU. I definitely do not want to have the game simmed. So I guess the real thing is finding someone to sub. If we can't find anyone I will just play the computer.

I have no problems subbing, if it works out where we are both available. I am sure others will not mind either, so hopefully we can match you up with a player.

Should definitely be against a player then. Playing against the CPU would just make it unfair.

Eagles 20
Giants 17

Giants took the lead with about 2 and a half to go and after an Eagles punt looked like the game was in their hands...

Until with about 1:50 left, No Timeouts, Vick leads the Offense down the field to score to take the lead...The Giants came right back...

Took the ball down to the 30 with 50 seconds left..Spiked the ball with 2 seconds on the clock, Lined Up For the Game Winning Field Goal and it went Far Right!..Man was I holding my breath...

Vick went 19/31 for 274 yards, 2TDs and 1 INT

Manning went 12/21 for 327, 2TDs and 1 INT

All right, guys. Finally settling into the "new normal" here. We have advanced to Week 4. We have some new members wanting to join, and I am open to anyone joining regardless of any past problems they may have had, as long as they play by the rules and show respect to every other member in the league. Just the fact that we have been able to operate 32 teams with only 17 members should send the message to everyone that they can be replaced (or...not replaced, as it were, lol).

Having said that, I'm fine with DVO21 taking the Cowboys, Aft3rSh0ck24 taking the Jets, and Tanabeo taking the Panthers. You guys can join the league as those teams and contact your Week 4 opponent to set up your game.

Also, hostyl mentioned having to miss a game or two, and we should definitely get a human sub for him. If Yanksfan wants to do it, I'd have no objections. Also, we're finally at the point where we need somebody to step up and (finally) claim the Jaguars. They play the Saints this week.

Other than that, I'm hoping things can shift back to a regular flow around here. At least there are games to be played again.

Since Tanabeo now has the Panthers, we'll need that sub for the Bears v. Panthers as well as Bears v. Lions (oh and I'd still like to drop the Titians as a secondary due to time commitments).

Tana I hope you can do better than I did with Carolina. Word to the wise I thought I was a decent passing QB but alas Cam Newton proved me wrong. Be careful his accuracy is low. I think its funny how some of us (me) can stop thinking "man that team is awesome this year, or that team sucks this year! I should be able to ROLL OVER them!" Then the game loads and you realize...that team hasn't been updated with this years stats and they were FREAKING AWESOME last year!

Also, does anyone know if Best Buy will take a kinect in lieu of the Microsoft warranty?
 
I need a human opponent for my Week 4 matchup. I am the Falcons and have the Seahawks as my opponent. The OP states that Superstar is the owner of the Seahawks, but he says he is not. If anyone is available tomorrow, hit me up. I am in EST for reference.
 
The Raiders and Patriots kicked off week 4 as the Raiders beat the Patriots 28-14. The Raiders took an early 7-0 lead and never trailed as they were able to put up a 21-7 lead at halftime. Even though the Raiders won, the Patriots pass offense gave the Raiders pass defense a lesson :D as Gronkowski had 10 receptions for 121 yards.Turnovers hurt the Patriots and Dmac was the difference maker as he rushed for 20 times for a total of 227 yards including a rush of 65 yards and 3 of over 20 yards. Well, I could play after 8:30 pm tomorrow, but we just played the other day, haha.
 
Another idea is that the previous owners of the Jets, Cowboys, and Panthers could take over Seattle, Jacksonville, and Tennessee. That way, hosty can drop the Titans, the Jags get an owner, and Superstar doesn't have to commit to a team that he has neither the time for nor the desire to play as. Just a thought, if those guys are willing.

Ok, trying to finish up the housekeeping in this thread. It appears we have 3 teams completely open again that all need owners: Jacksonville Jaguars, Tennessee Titans, and Seattle Seahawks. These are the members who don't have secondary teams, and which team they could add if they're willing to help out.

Soo...even with the players not eligible to pick up one of these teams, that's still enough guys to get it done. If we can't find people willing to take these teams when they play primary teams (remember, secondary vs secondary games get simmed) then we'll just have to ask for a sub each time they need to play. Just don't come crying when your primary team has no opponent.
 
just so everyone knows my primary team is the jets and my secondary is the seahawks, so if you play me you know who to get ahold of now.

Aftershock took me out of my game, I could not run the ball, and he kept some good pressure on me when I was passing. I was able to get the ball back with a little under 2 minutes and trailing 14-12. I got a big screen pass to Turner that moved the ball deep into his territory, whittled down his TOs and scored with 30 seconds left to give him one last chance. Thankfully for me, I held on, but it was damn close.

Well played Aftershock. Considering the team you were using, you obviously were the better player today to be up late in the game like that. Well done!

I would be interested in the Titans, if no one has a problem with me joining this league late.
I can probably commit to the whole season, but if not you will at least have someone to carry them for a few weeks.

Nice to see the new guys step up and take secondary teams. I like that. Now, in case it's not totally clear, you won't be playing EVERY game with your secondary team. Only the games where they face someone else's primary team. Secondary vs. secondary games get simmed (ie: Tennessee vs Seattle = SIM).

Think of it more like being assigned subs. Since only about half the league is full, it would have been hellacious trying to find random subs for the empty teams each week. However, since you're only subbing for these teams, you cannot trade their players. So, really, it's like you have 1.5 teams, haha.

Oh, also, thank you, pitfallharry for diving on the bomb and taking the Jaguars, lol. It's kinda funny how hard everybody was avoiding them.

Sure, you're more than welcome to join late. I'm just a little confused by the "I can probably commit to the whole season" statement. You're not sure if you want to play?

The Lions could just not stop the Cowboys pass offense. Some turnovers from both teams, one by the Cowboys that setup a short drive for the Lions. Great game, the score was back and forth the entire game going into the last 2 minutes the Cowboys came back to get the lead leaving less then a minute for the Lions. The Lions then got stopped on their drive to end the game.

Also, I would like to put Calvin Johnson Jr. on the trading block. Open to offers, would be interested in a trade for a top tier RB but only if it included trading Best and Johnson in it. Looking for RG, MLB, and CB.

was a blockbuster of a game

cowboys 31 lions 28
tony romo went 15 for 24 for 310 yards and 2 TDs
jason witten 123 and a TD
miles Austin and a TD

but the cowboys defense was no match for the amazing run attack lead by javid best who was easyly the games mvp with 292 rushing yards and 4 TDs

this game was a total quarter toss and could have gone either way for both teams the cowboys just got lucky with time running low and romo throwing a game changing TD with 52 seconds left

GG Blade really enjoyed it
