CAG League Sports: Madden 12 "JV League" - We Finished 3 Seasons! Thanks Everybody!!!

Finally got my trade block put together. These are the players I'm looking to move (I'll have to look up their potentials later). There are others I'd probably be willing to trade, so if there's anyone anybody is curious about, feel free to inquire. Draft picks are always available as well.

RB - Mark Ingram, 79 ovr, 21 yrs old, A pot.
RB - Pierre Thomas, 78 ovr, 26 yrs old, B pot.
RB - Darren Sproles, 79 ovr, 28 yrs old, B pot.

DT - Shaun Rogers, 86 ovr, 32 yrs old, B pot.

Bengals throw away a game against the 49ers, literally. Cincy's defense holds San Francisco to under 80 yards, but they return a fumble and an interception for touchdowns for the game's only scores. San Fran wins 14-0. Bengals had their chances, driving down to the 1-yard line in the third quarter, but were stuffed on four attempts to get into the end zone. Driving late in the fourth, Dalton throws his fourth INT, the second one in the red zone, as the 49ers ice the win by returning it for a touchdown.

Good game G33.
 
The raiders finally get their first win of the season after a 21-14 win over the jets. The game was tight for most of the 4 quarters as the Jets scored on their first play but the raiders led 13-7 at halftime.The jets kept pounding the ball though and scored a td to take a lead 14-13 with 1:15 left in the 4th quarter. The Raiders then got into their 2 minute offense and were able to get past midfield when they audibled into a running play and McFadden broke free for a 46 yard td run with 18 seconds left or so.. The Raiders converted on the 2 point conversion and their defense held for the win. GG Pitfallharry. You have a great a running game or I just have a poor run defense. It's one of the two.
 
Dolphins-Browns game we tried to play, we got disconnected twice, the final time being in the last minute of the game. I was down 7-13 and had just started a drive down the field to try and win it. We are planning on playing tomorrow night.

Yeah, good game. You had my number on defense, completely shutting down my running game and forcing me to pass, which was similarly ineffective. My bend-but-not-break defensive philosophy started out strong, but by the end of the second quarter, you were starting to find plenty of holes through which to move the chains.
 
Games remaining for Week 3:

Giants vs Eagles (a little confused with this one because both of these guys are currently joined as their secondary teams...who are also matched up this week. Hoping that's just carry over from week 2)
Dolphins vs Browns (disconnected, replaying tomorrow night)
Broncos vs Titans (???)
Ravens vs Rams (???)
Packers vs Bears (???)
Falcons vs Buccaneers (???)
Steelers vs Colts (???)

That's a lot of games. I was hoping we could advance by tomorrow around midnight'ish, but with this many games left, I doubt that's going to be possible. That's ok though, because that would really only be 3 full days since our last advance. I'm thinking a hard 4 day deadline might be better.

One 16 game season + playoffs would take about 5 months at a one game a week pace. If we want things like trading prospects and drafting rookies to matter, we've gotta do better than that. At least advancing every 4 days would barely put us over a week for two games, and obviously, it would still be nice if everybody TRIED to get the games done in 3 days. A 4 day advance schedule would basically be "no excuses...get the game done". As always, feel free to leave feedback on this.

Also, if you know you're not going to be able to get your game played, let me know so I have time to find a sub.

Is the EA website a year off? It shows Benson as being 29. I got my guys' ages from there, so mine might actually be a year off too. I'll have to check in the game in a bit.

No, I looked it up. He's 28...as is Darren Sproles. The EA site is a year off for all players.
 
Eagles vs Giants is set for sometime tomorrow night..Gotta see what time I am able to play

Yeah..I just forgot to switch back to the Eagles after I played Blade last week
Thats why It shows I am still as the Chiefs..It' ll be fixed tomorrow

Last I heard from Yanksfan/MattNY, Falcons vs Bucs was going to be Wednesday morning, but I'm trying to see if I can get it done tomorrow afternoon. Sent him a PM and an xbl message.

Browns- 10

The 3 ints and a fumble led to the demise of the Browns. He was making a good drive with about 2:30 left and it was 17-10, but threw a pick in the end zone, thus basically ending the game.
 
Well guys, looks like we're going to have to add at least an extra day on the deadline. My wife went into labor this afternoon, and I'm now at the hospital waiting on the birth of our first child. Any of you who haven't gotten around to playing your games yet can thank my daughter for the extra time. :)

Congratulations! My wife and I have two (3 years and almost 2 years), and it is the greatest feeling in the whole world. Enjoy every second of your experience in the hospital.
 
And in much less important news ...

Rams: 41
Ravens: 14

Just for the record: I think I passed once in the second half and ran — mostly up the middle — the rest of the time. The score was 31-7 at the half. My fourth-quarter TD was a fluke — totally did not expect Jackson to break one going up the gut.

Still, despite the score, the Ravens did some nice things, especially in the passing game. Flacco spread the ball nicely, getting it to five different receivers and throwing two TDs.

Steven Jackson: 176 yards rushing, two rushing TDs; 140 yards receiving, two receiving TDs

Cant connect to Xbox Live right now because of the New Update..Anybody else having the same problem?

Luckily we have til tomorrow to get our games in..Hopefully it'll be fixed
 
Yeah, Yanksfan was having that issue earlier, and now I can't sign in, so Falcons/Bucs is not looking promising.

Based on this, I think I'm going to have to drop my secondary team. Pretty much mandating as possible four games a week is a little more than I want to commit to. So if you could remove me as the permanent sub for the Titians, that'd be great (will have 0 effect on the Week 4 matchup).

Falcons - 28
Bucs - 7

Really close game..had a tight lead in the 4th quarter, then was able to bust off a longer run with Turner and recover a fumble for a TD. Bucs played a great game, and until Freeman was forced into going for big plays late in the game to mount a comeback, he was shredding me pretty well.

Good game Kaster, he played great on 3rd down, kept his cool and always found a way to convert.

is there a co owner to this league since the other seemed to just have a kid from what i read
 
The Cowboys are someone's secondary team, so you'd be able to take them. Give the commish some time, he'll get back to you.
 
Anyone who wans to join the league,please at least request your team in this thread. While all of the secondary teams are available, we still have to notify the person who has been controlliing them. Plus it woud just be good for me to know what your intentions are.

So yeah, it looks like my week 4 game will have to be simmed (I held out hope that we would have advanced and I could have scheduled for tonight), not a big deal as it was against an un-owned team. However, as I'll be gone 12/10 - 12/17, it might impact week 5 as well. This is against the Lions owner. Tell me how you'd want to handle this:

A) the game is simply simmed (kinda cheats the Lions owner out of a game)
B) Lions play vs the CPU (less than the ideal amount of fun)
C) Lions play vs a human sub

I dont really care which option you choose, they are all fine with me. I'm already "de-listed" from the Bears (and will de-list from the Titians this evening). I just ask that if you choose the human sub route that you

1) post that clearly in the forums
2) whoever subs drops the Bears immediately after the game
3) Dont get Jay Cutler killed (j/k :).....but seriously dont! :))

On a personal note, the league has seemed to run pretty smoothly.
 
Sent a PM to the Giants owner..Will Try to Get This Game in Tonight.

We have been communicating but we seem to not be available at the same times
