CAG Madden 11 League 2 - Season 2! Week 10 Deadline Sat night. TEAMS OPEN!

If someone is around to sub in the next hour or so then that's fine with me, or I can just play the CPU now. Obviously not ideal, but I would prefer that to a sim, especially since it's still early in the day.

The latest I can start a game is probably 5:30pm EST as I need to be out the door around 6:30.
 
It's up to the two of you. If Matt is fine with dropping and letting ubernes play the CPU, than that's fine with me. I'm fine with simming it too. Whatever happens it needs to happen now, we've waited on this game long enough.
 
I'll just sim it because I should really just get some laundry done. My day of errands has been shot to hell and this isn't helping! Advancing us now...

No change in the top 2 spots, still Panthers and 49ers. Bears jump 11 spots to #3 and the Chiefs and Texans also climb into the top 5.

I'm just going to go ahead and use the Power Rankings as the list for the FA wire, seems easy enough. We will have our first Free Agent period starting NOW. I'm not going to do a ton of waiting for people, and we'll be doing it in groups of 8 since it's so early in the season and I want to get this done quickly.

The following 8 teams have until 10PM EST to pick up a free agent:

1. Browns
2. Redskins
3. Eagles - Shawn Springs, CB
4. Saints - Antonio Bryant, WR
5. Seahawks
6. Raiders - Jake Grove, C
7. Chargers
8. Colts

Please POST IN THE THREAD when you pick someone up. If you miss your chance, you can pick someone up later. ONE PLAYER PER TEAM. And you have to drop someone to make room, even if your roster isn't full.

Yes, all 8 of those teams can pick now.

I added him for you. I dropped Roby since he was both your lowest rated WR and lowest overall, but if you want to pick him back up you can drop someone else.

Jags-Eagles scheduled for 5-6 pm est tomorrow.

I get a double dose of Eagles this week. I play them in the other league in the AM.
 
Nice on both counts. Send him the link to XFN too (/daily plug). Given our experiences from Week 2 and what we know in general about disconnects, I encourage everyone to try to get their games scheduled as early as possible to leave more margin for error.
 
No big surprise, but Chris Gamble was defensive player of the week for the second straight week. Detroit swept the offensive categories with best offensive player (Matthew Stafford) and best offensive rookie (Jahvid Best, who won for the 2nd straight week as well). Taylor Mays was the best defensive rookie.
 
Yea yea!!! My boy Andy Lee is leading the league in Punting yards (Average)!! With a whopping 64 yards per punt!!! MVP candidate!

Edit: Darn...that's apparently off of only one punt. But one punt in 2 games means I'm doing something right on offense...!!

No, you can go ahead and pick your free agent whenever you want. We're doing it in groups of 8 but there's no particular order within groups.

I picked up CB Macho Harris, 72 OVR because his name is awesome and he's now my 3rd highest rated CB. I need a solid 3rd, and probably more if the injuries to my secondary in the other franchise are any indication. I released rookie WR Richard Goodman, 55 OVR.

Great game with the steelers going and it freezes in overtime. Sorry about that Cobra, I was challenging that catch and it just froze. Next time I just won't pause I guess.

I'm playing the Falcons (venom's team) this week...BV....Anyone in mind subbing for him? i really don't care who it is. I'd like to play tonight after 10pm est....but no later than 11:30 pm est..

The next 8 teams are now eligible to pick up free agents. Those of the first 8 who still didn't pick anyone up are still able to, but no longer get precedence over the next group. First come first serve on those who are left. This group will have until 12PM EST tomorrow. The next group after that until 5PM EST, and then the last group.

Reminder: You are required to drop a player to pick one up, even if your roster isn't full. Please post in the thread who you picked up as well as who you dropped (Name and position).

The rosters on XFN might not be completely up to date (I need to tell them to update, which I'm doing periodically) so check the EA site or the in-game league for the most up-to-date list.

the raiders I can get by with the cb' s I'd have but I need to stop the run to have a chance. nnamdi is a 99 and williams is a 97... don't think that's too much of a stretch
