we did... and thats what's standing but BV brought up a legitimate point... i clearly stated Asomugha wasnt available for trades and less than 3 hrs later, he's being traded lol. I feel compelled, out of fairness to the league, to at least hear any other offers that may come up. I seriously doubt i'll get an offer that tops what we've worked out but there are plenty of QB's out there better than Jason Campbell (wink wink). I'm pretty sure its a done deal as long as it gets approved by the commish.

Also, i think instead of having he entire league weigh in on trades, maybe we should put together a odd-numbered panel to judge the trades. Off the top of my head... Ube, Doom, Myself, MasterAwesome, and BV could lead the charge. All 5 of us have trade experience and we all seem to have a pretty good handle on the values of players and the numbers that go into the players being a commodity.

lol... iono. Giving up Aso and a journeyman DE to get a young CB who will be just as effective next season in Aso's spot plus getting an absolute stud at DE to go alongside an aging Richard Seymour and a personal favorite in Lamar Houston (I'm a Longhorn fanatic) seems pretty hard to beat.

I slept on it and I'm going to allow the Raiders-Texans trade. I was a bit wary of the disparity in the second player, but both sides seem happy with it and there's a significant body of evidence that both of you know what the hell you're doing.

I'll put the trade through after the Texans play their game, since the Raiders have already played.

ubernes, can you post some clarification on the "core player" rule, as I'd like to use it over here too.

This group of teams has until 12PM EST before the next group can start.. Those of the first 8 who still didn't pick anyone up are still able to, but no longer get precedence over the next group. First come first serve on those who are left. This group will have until 12PM EST tomorrow.

Reminder: You are required to drop a player to pick one up, even if your roster isn't full. Please post in the thread who you picked up as well as who you dropped (Name and position).

The rosters on XFN might not be completely up to date (I need to tell them to update, which I'm doing periodically) so check the EA site or the in-game league for the most up-to-date list.

BV I change my mind like the wind. I want a cb now, since they all have a tendency to have a fx collarbone every week. I will add claim Jamar Wall if the colts do not pick him up. If Wall goes, I will stick with the other guy I pm'd you on.

much obliged... I don't think I'll be making anymore deals unless a qb is involved. I need to get McFadden more involved in the offense but I need a qb that can get the ball to him

You don't need to wait for the Colts. Every one of these teams is able to pick someone up right now.

Made my drop. Low-rated DT. I also picked up a MLB because my starter is out for 5 weeks and I definitely missed the depth in my 2nd game (I think I have 5 healthy LBs total, maybe 4). He's rated lower than my lowest MLB.

edit: and I'll post the core player trade guidelines. I'm just running out the door atm.

Chargers-Seahawks should be played soon. Seahawks contacted me yesterday about playing. I had to finish my game in the other league. That started half an hour late and went to overtime, and we couldn't match up. I sent a message asking about today.

I'm hoping my connection woes will be sorted out by the end of this week, I've convinced the neighbors that we need to get a new wireless router.

As for the Falcons.. Whoever can do it when it's convenient for siradam is most important, I don't really care who it is.

Some core player trade rules:

I'm going off memory, but this is correct as far as I know. You can trade 3 core players per season. A core player is defined as any player rated 80 or above. A player rated over 90 is considered a "super core" player, so he counts as 2. This is so if you're say the Jaguars, I can't trade both MJD and Mathis in one season and completely strip my team of it's original identity. This is mainly put in place in case the person who makes this trade leaves the league. BV can adjust the amount of core players and the amount of players traded per season (I think the other league's limit was 5 or 6), but that's the gist.

If that were an option obviously I wouldn't, but it's not. It's technically a single house and we live in the downstairs apartment. Hypothetically we could get our own Comcast account wired in but that would increase our monthly costs quite a bit. Plus I'm not sure it's technically a legal multi-unit home. :D

I don't like the situation, but most of it has to do with them not really knowing what they're doing with the router. Hopefully I can remedy that.

While were on the topic of trades I think we should increase the limit on trades allowed ? I will type out my reasonings later when I get from work
