CAG Madden 11 League 2 - Season 2! Week 10 Deadline Sat night. TEAMS OPEN!

This one I'm less sure about. A few initial thoughts:

1) I'm not sure a 2 point bump in RB is worth giving up a starting QB, especially since the return beyond McFadden is pretty marginal.

2) I'm not wild about the idea of conditional picks, I'll need to think about that.
 
Master/Sheriff - I know you didn't know so no big deal, but in the future don't sign and release a ton of FAs so you can check their potential. I get what you're doing, but it's a bit of an unfair advantage if you do it and everyone else doesn't. If you want to check potentials, I'm assuming you can do so in the offline rosters.
 
As far as starting qb being traded I prefer robert you , that's why I got him off free agency and I also have him and saught after him in other league, I need a better and rb and that's what darren mcfadden brings to my team

Logic behind the deal:

I need a qb that can actually hit moving targets... cru desperately wants a running back with speed.

giving up McFadden means i only have Bush to run the ball and um.... thats a negative. Benson coming over replaces McFadden, and to compensate for Benson's actual rating, the pick is involved. If I make the playoffs, the team isnt as bad as i think they are and i can make do without a 2nd rounder... if we dont make the playoffs, i'm gonna need to fill a hole on the team so i keep the 2nd and give up a 3rd. Jacoby Ford sits on my bench and Cru said he needs a KR so he's thrown in for good measure...
 
That seems reasonable from both of you. I'd like to hear some more opinions on the trade though.

If the pick isn't conditional, I like it more.

i agree but we spent about 30 minutes arguin over whether it should be a 2nd or 3rd and that's where we met in the middle

We're all from the other league, haha.

It's not approved yet, I want to hear if there are any other opinions, but I'm leaning towards allowing it.
 
As far as conditional picks , I don't see a problem in this case it will go down fair , I trust duece's character in honoring the details and it did seem the only way we could meet in the middle

Lol darn...was it that obvious?? Sorry, there's a website online where you can check potentials but it doesn't seem like it's up-to-date with the rosters we're using for this league. I think whoever made it used the initial rosters for Madden '11. I won't do it again, but if it's any reassurance...I had already decided yesterday that I was gonna pick up Briscoe before I checked all the potentials. I was more trying to figure out where the discrepancies were in that website's listings for potentials and what they actually were in this league. But I wouldn't say I had an unfair advantage since technically ANYONE can sign players and check their potentials...I think I just have less of a life than everyone else and can actually set aside the time to do that :'(

Edit: Yeah, that website that gbpackers posted a link to is the one I used. It's not very accurate at all...there were a LOT more B Potential players available in the FA pool.

You just love McFadden. At the outset I was actually thinking Deuce was getting the better of it, so maybe that's an indication that it's fairer than either of us think.

Yeah, I went to check the transaction log to see who'd picked up their free agents and it was mostly you. :D

It's not a big deal, I never said people shouldn't do that (I guess it never even occurred to me someone would, haha). I'm saying it now though.

I guess that makes sense. I'm hoping a deal for Campbell is in the works so he doesn't rot on the bench.

P.S. I agree to both of the trades (the MOJO one and McFadden one), but can you guys slow down a little......I can't follow all of these blockbuster deals! Next thing I know, Tom Brady is gonna be on the Panthers, Darrelle Revis on the Dolphins, Adrian Peterson on the Browns.......you're messing with the natural order of things!!

phhttt ... Brady is going no where, along with everyone else on the Patriots roster.
Might as well put it out there now, the Patriots will not be entertaining any trades. So please no crazy offers.
 
2-0 in back-to-back league games :eek:

Giants over Titans, 28-10, largely due to a huge play in the 3rd qtr, where one of my D-line (Tuck or Osi) nailed Vince Young, forcing a bad throw right into Michael Boley's hands, going all the way for an 89 yd. INT return. Close game throughout before that, and still some close calls throughout. GG Kay.

Bills also win in league 1.0, making this my most successful day of madden ever! Sort of.

Got my first win as the Dolphins owner (I am 2-1 but first win was without me) tonight over the Jets, 31-14. Game was close most of the first half but I sacked sanchez and took it in for 6 and gained some momentum after that. Well played game. I am glad to be a part of this league guys, thanks again its a lot of fun. I'd like to get involved in the FA pickups and trades as well. I would post more but my job blocked this site last Friday. So after 6 pm is usually when I have access once I'm home.
 
In trying to make trades /i had this dumb q... is their a salary cap in place? i.e. no point trading towards many draft picks?
 
I mean, there's made up draft classes. They just don't import the real one from NCAA. It would be pretty hard to do 2-3 years into it.
 
Should Robert You, and Danny Frisch even be allowed as free agents? I mean they aren't even in the NFL? If this is trying to be a realistic feel... idk, just saying.

If I didn't know how good Cru and Deuce are, I'd say its the most ridiculous trade ever. But considering how good they are combined with the fact that there's next to no chance of them leaving the league, I guess I approve.
