CAG Madden 11 League 2 - Season 2! Week 10 Deadline Sat night. TEAMS OPEN!

Lions 42, Vikings 52

On a record breaking day, the Vikings walked out of Mall Of America field with their 3rd straight victory.
The day was one of many surprises, with the Lions putting up 35 points in the first half to take the lead 35-24 at the half.
The Vikings and Lions combined for a stunning 621 rushing yards, with Jahvid Best running for an NFL record 321 yards and 4 TDs, while Peterson ran for 260 yards and 4 TDs.
"It was horrifying", said Jared Allen, Vikings defensive end.
Best's first 4 runs were all touchdown runs, the longest being a 99-yard run to take the lead 14-7.

In the second half, the Vikings surged back and scored 28 points, while holding the Lions to a single touchdown. The Vikings only had 16 tackles to the Lions 43.
The Vikings dominated time of posession, holding the ball for 13:45 of the 20:00 total minutes.

The Vikings have a bye before their visit to the Jets on Monday night, while the Lions face the Packers.

Charles, Flowers and Berry are off limits, will listen to offers on anyone else.
I'm hoping my connection woes will be sorted out by the end of this week, I've convinced the neighbors that we need to get a new wireless router.

As for the Falcons.. Whoever can do it when it's convenient for siradam is most important, I don't really care who it is.
Well then.

Deuce, or Uber, or whoever else... i'd like to play at 7pm est tonight. There ya go.

That may be an NFL record, but it's 450,123,198th all time in Madden. :D

Great write-up! You still need to sign up on XFN, and you should absolutely post it there as a game recap: http://xtreme-football.net/index.php?r=league/index&lid=71
Vick, desean, Trent Cole (de) , and asante Samuel are off limits. Open to offers. Need lb, cb, and speedy wrs.
Would it be fair to say that since you're looking for speedy WRs, Maclin is also off-limits? ;)
Would it be fair to say that since you're looking for speedy WRs, Maclin is also off-limits? ;)
no I can settle for giving up Maclin, but it has to be a good offer.

ooo I might be interested in Maclin. I might have a WR for you, take a look (I'm Jacksonville). Top 2 CBs are off limits and I don't have a LB to give up haha, unless a lesser one is coming back in return.

My next opponent, The Bills, pmed me yesterday and said he can't play until Friday evening at the earliest. If he doesn't show up for the deadline can we get a sub-in for him? If we still have a couple of games to play, not that big of a deal pushing it to the right but, having someone on standby if he's unable to make it would be nice so we don't delay advancing if we are the last game to be played.

I'd really rather not push the deadline back for anything, so if he's not able to play Friday night we'll try to find a sub.

I wouldn't mind some offensive line help (nor would the real Bears I'd imagine) if anyone's got some depth there that they'd be willing to deal. By help I mean upgrades over what I have now (L-R 80, 75, 84, 73, 75)
deuce, i love you and all.... but i'd rather not play your crazy arse! you're entirely too good to face me at this point..considering i'm 0-2 :(

If absolutely no one else will substitute for the falcons. i'll play you....but when i do, let it be known that i'm already expecting a loss :(
just thought I should make it known that I'm 0-3 with these Raiders...

0-3! Stop playing for the #1 overall pick :)

Everyone who has yet to pick up a FA may now do so. I went first (it's good to be the king :D)

Reminder: You are required to drop a player to pick one up, even if your roster isn't full. Please post in the thread who you picked up as well as who you dropped (Name and position).

The rosters on XFN might not be completely up to date (I need to tell them to update, which I'm doing periodically) so check the EA site or the in-game league for the most up-to-date list.

lol, i'm glad that my skill level has not been ignored due to the poor start. I can assure u that i'm not playing for the #1 pick... i hate losing waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much to intentionally lose games. My 3 losses have come by way of turnovers and giving up big plays... INTs on errant throws by Campbell and rbs gashing my D forcing me to play out of my comfort zone :(. We will turn this around tho... Tom Cable's job depends on it
I added Adalius Thomas. Will drop someone once I can get home and check the potential ratings of my low-rated guys.
I dropped Henry Melton (DT, 60). 5 DTs seemed a bit excessive. :D

I guess I should've posted this in this thread instead of the other... anyways. Anyone ever have trouble assigning your xbox a static IP? That seemed to be the first step in a lot of the solutions I looked at in order to get my NAT set to open. I have a feeling me and gbpackers might both be set a strict, which is why we can never connect. Though I've never had issues with anyone else besides him (we're not even able to get to the playbook/jersey select screen). At this point we might as well sim, which will be my 2nd sim in 3 games. Fun fun fun.
Ub and I can't connect. I think we are going to have to sim.
I do have strict. Unable to change it though (trust me I've tried haha) I may call my isp centurylink to see if they can open it for me. I'll try to do that this weekend.
Darren McFadden is available for trade... and Heyward-Bey is hurt so stop askin about him lol
Whoa what do you want for that guy? Would love to have him in Tampa

dunno if tampa has what i need...

This just in:
MOJO headed to Philly; Maclin, McCoy to Jacksonville in blockbuster trade.
Eagles get:
HB Maurice Jones-Drew (94 ovr)
WR Jarret Dillard (65 ovr)

Jaguars get:
HB Lesean McCoy (84 ovr)
WR Jeremy Maclin (84 ovr)

Waiting for league approval.

As usual let's have some discussion before I approve it, but I have no issue with that one. Total overall 166 to 159, seems fair.

Edit: Since you guys are playing each other this week, I don't have a problem putting it through before you do so.

Edit 2: Hold on.. McCoy is an 84, not an 82. I'm not saying that changes things necessarily, but let's try to get the ratings right.

fixed

Since I think everyone likes to trade I'm going to set the "Core Players" limit at 5.

90+ = 2 core players
80+ = 1 core player
1st round pick = 1 core player

I also considered calling 70+ and 2nd round picks .5 core players, but I'm undecided on that.

This counts only players you send, not players you receive.
Wait, lets say I traded a 95 ovr player away and got an 85 ovr player back, would I have used 1 or 2 core players out of my 5?
2, though I doubt such a trade would be made or approved, haha.

Any 90+ players count as 2, it doesn't matter what you get back.

Game is getting simmed. See above your post.
So its the player you trade away that counts as x/5 core players?
(sorry this concept is going right over my head lol)
Correct. So you and ubernes are both using 2 core players on this one (90+ for him and x80+ for you)
what team u got?
Da Bears
Game is getting simmed. See above your post.
Alright. Up to you two then whether you want me to put it through now or after it's played.

Since I haven't seen any objections to it I'll assume there aren't any. Trade approved.

I'd say yes to that. Looks solid for both sides.

@ Deuce-Yeah figured as much. My team is pretty sorry.

uber, I'm promoting you in the league until I get my connection issues sorted out (I'm hoping by Thursday or Friday) in case I lose connection entirely and anything needs to be done.

I'm going to try to get my game with red worm in tomorrow night, but if I can't connect than Doom is going to step in for me.
Since Heyward Bey is hurt for 10 more weeks, am i permitted to pick up a WR?
Not in this case, since you still have 5 other WRs on your roster. He would need to be lower than your lowest rated WR anyway, which is a 48.

That said, since you haven't played a game yet if you want to drop Jake Grove you can pick up a WR instead.

Dezmon Briscoe made a STRONG debut with his new team with an onside kick recovery!! I have a huge final tomorrow morning (I know...it's hard to believe with how active I've been on these forums today) so I'd rather not take the time to do a recap blog post thing on the site now, but I'll do one tomorrow for sure. 49ers over Chiefs 38-24.

Trade Alert:

RAIDERS get: Carson Palmer 87 qb (30) and Cedric Benson 86 rb (28, 88 sp)

BENGALS get: Darren McFadden-88 rb (23, A), Jacoby Ford-60 wr (97 Speed, 92 KR), and a conditional (2 or 3 based on Raiders making the playoffs or not) rd pick
