Chicago 38, Detroit 28
The Bears got their 2010 season started in the right direction with a solid victory over the visiting Lions. Jay Cutler brought his talent rather than his brain to the field today, as he was magnificent, going 18 of 26 for 361 yards and 4 TDs. He used all his receivers, with 5 different receivers going for at least 40 yards. Olsen was the main beneficiary, catching 4 balls for 104 yards and 2 scores. Knok had one catch but it was a 78 yard TD when Cutler read a corner blitz perfectly and zipped it to Knox who went untouched to the endzone. Forte had a good game as well, rushing 15 times for 79 yards and a score and also added 4 catches for 48 yards.
On the Detroit side Jahvid Best was a beast, rushing 16 times for 164 yards and 3 scores, basically doing whatever he wanted to the Bears D. Stafford was average, going 9 of 17 for 208 yards, a score and a pick. The TD was the last score of the game and was a beautiful bomb to Megatron (who was double covered, as he was most of the game). It was his only catch.

gg Tanabeo! You're a good player, I'm glad we have you in the league and the division!
Just to clear up something, since he asked me a question about it: When running out the clock on the last drive I went for it on 4th and 3 from around his 20 with about 12 seconds left and a 10 point lead (I converted on a Taylor run, not that the result matters). Just so everyone knows this is one of those situations where it's okay to go for it, and most NFL coaches would. There's little benefit to a FG there, especially when you can win the game with a 1st down, and you're too close in to punt. Plus, there's always the chance of a block (less so in Madden, but still). Obviously doesn't matter much in the grand scheme of the game, but I just wanted to put it out there for everyone's information.
