I see absolutely no reason or need for this kind of post. Last time I checked this league was about fun,not stats or Ws and Ls. So you had a good week or weeks. Congrats. Im happy for you. But talking trash on the boards about it is absolutely stupid. For one, most of us arent playing for stats so you are effectively king of nobody cares. Secondly, we've not all faced the same teams nor will we EVER due to the shorten schedule. So your besting somebody elses numbers can be less about whos better and more about who got a better draw. And lastly, theres very little thats impressive about doing well in a videogame. If your stats in this league are remotely connected to your self worth, you got serious problems.

I have no problem with dicussions of games. Great plays, congratulations, stratagies, anything like that is fine. Rubbing a guys face in your success or the whole league is very poor sportmanship and it will not continue without consequences.

Remember we're all here to have fun fellas. Thats what THIS league is about.

Zewone, to clarify, I wasn't placing blame on you. I simply stated that I attempted to contact you to no avail. It seems that our schedules just didn't match up, and I don't fault you for that.

My week 2 opponent, gaelan, has already e-mailed me and I have replied, so there should be no chance of a repeat of week 1's debacle.

I apologize to everyone for the fact that my game held up the schedule.
 
Boy, I just like going from one prediciment to another. First it's my connection, and now the cursed month of February has become my foe, I mean comeon who makes a month with 28 days? Well being the cheap ass I am I've put off buying a Live subscription and now my trial's up in 3 days, which means I have to cancel my subscription since I'm not paying $50 for it when I can get the starter kit for less then $10 more from Newegg. Best case secenario would be that I get an extra 2-3 days to make up for the shortened month, but it looks like I'll be losing my gamertag. Hopefully I'll be able to rejoin the leauge with my new subscription?

Adding a GG at the end of a negative post doesnt make it a "good game" post. Mocking your own QB has no bearing on the original statement you made. They are completely seperate. Like in this example:

I owned you guys. I did great. I would have done better had I had more time but I didnt. Too bad my QB stinks tho. No long ball at all.
GG opponent.

As you can see, you can easily be a jerk even if you include GG and a knock on your own QB.

I think we all appriciate the apology. I dont think any of us thinks anyone was to blame here. It was just a case of two busy people's schedules not meshing. These kinda things happen. I am sorry that it wasnt able to get done and that you guys stats will be off (if you care about that sort of thing) Hopefully we wont have this happen to anybody else.

Yup. When I heard he was out because of "severe headache" i was pissed. :lol: He got fucking clocked in the end zone, though, when he got the injury.

I figured I should give you guys fair warning that the ESPN servers seem to be freaking out. We've had one game played fully and not register and I noticed some issues at one point during my game as well. Please LMK ASAP if you run into a problem. While its really out of my hands, I can at least make sure the proper person gets the W and nobody gets accussed of not playing their game when indeed they have.

**Friendly Reminder**

DT Rules
2. DT rush - Using the DTs to rush is not allowed. This is due to a glitch that lets them go unabated to the QB. Don't blame me, blame VC.

4. Defensive line movement before the snap- You may not MANUALLY move your lineman presnap. This is again a gltich exploit so its disallowed. You MAY use your sticks to fan, pinch, or shift the line left or right. You may NOT physically move him yourself.

Ive received a number of complaints about this issue over the past two weeks. Im giving everybody a friendly reminder now but from now on I will be striking people who violate this rule.

For those of you who might complain that it hinders your game since you use the DT frequently, I am sorry. I spent a few hours trying to find ANY way I could make DT play allowable. Im sorry to say, due to VC's programming, it just cant be done.

In my test I was able to obliterate the RG almost every time. Snap, charge, swim, Im now free of the G within about 1-2 seconds of the ball leaving the centers hands. All I have to do is dive or if I really want to muck things up Jump and the play is all but over. Especially if I jammed the receivers at the line. It was tested against various offensive sets including shotgun and against counters such as hotblocking or a TE shifting towards center. Its just too powerful fellas. Even on all pro I was consistantly able to destroy the RG who was statically my equal. In cases of a mismatch, oh boy, the offense would be creamed. So, from this point forward if you have the DT highlighted before the snap, you are in violation unless he drops back into zone coverage (but youd be stupid to do it since Ive disallowed the rush so youre tipping off that youre in zone) Please take this to heart because Im deadly serious about enforcing this rule since its ruining peoples enjoyment of the game.

Atlanta vs. Minn. = Craven works thirds so prob. not tonight

Cincy vs. Indy = Modem issues. If the others finish up Cincy might let us just sim so not to hold everybody up

I find it rather interesting you guys havent really gone swap crazy yet. All my other leagues were trading mad. Its fine if you dont want to but Ive always like the variety it brings. Remember there's a deadline in effect so if youre thinking of moving and shaking better get going. Only 2 weeks left.

If for some reason, Cincy can't get his modem working, is there a way for me to play the CPU? Even if I lose, I don't mind, it'd just be more fun than simming.
 
Gaelan and I were going to start our game, but it tells me to reconnect the controller to port 1 and press start. I did and nothing happened. WTF?

I'm restarting my Xbox, so hopefully that will work. Either taht or I'm cursed.

Not that Im aware of. It wont start the match until one person invites the other and accepts. MAYBE you could start a match then have the person move the controls to CPU but why the heck wouldnt you just play it out at that point. Anyway, no modem = a sim. If you feel cheated out of a game, its understandable. Ask somebody else for a pick up game. I might suggest looking at the people you dont play at all this year.

Alright, we played our game and everything seems to have registered just fine. For some reason, though, the win and loss didn't go on our respective overall records, just the league ones. Is that normal?

Either way, it's good to have played a league game finally. Gaelan's a good guy and it was a fun, close contest.

i think that has to do with the league games not being ranked or something like that.

I think trades are handled in LIVE. I know I can admin any of them so Im assuming you must do them all through there.
Feel free to use the forum to let people know you did propose something tho. That way they know to check LIVE for a possible trade.

Remember that the system is set up in a way that requires me to approve trades. So LMK theres a trade you made that I need to approve and Ill get on it right away.
