CAG/PS3 Red Faction: Guerrilla Night [Thursdays @ 10pm EST]

fuck it... those of us who can should play some excitebike... kick it neo old school bitches!

And kube... if your RFG disc is stuck in your PS3, try this.
Metaly and I just did a bunch of races. I thought it was a lot of fun!
It took he and I longer than 30 minutes to get just one race going and it wasn't all that fun. Also the UI is just abysmal. The game needs a LOT of work before hitting retail.

And I was so looking forward to this title too.... lets hope they turn this ship around. :bouncy:

Yeah, that was definitely the worst possible first experience with Modnation, but it slowly grew on me as we figured out more of the mechanics. Also we had the total luck of getting matched with some guy who actually knew what he was doing and explained everything to us.

Also some of the custom courses he had were tons better than the default ones, so there's potential there that I hadn't counted on. I already downloaded about 10 Mario Kart-inspired tracks. :)

But unless someone recreated Ghost Valley 2, aka the best track in Super Mario Kart they failed .

I spent about an hour with the character and cart creator after we finished those races. Tons of really fun stuff to do there, too.

The game does suffer from having WAY too many options at the front end: you need to open a menu to get the to the menu that opens the menus. Once you get into the heart of the gameplay, though, there's a lot of fun to be had.

I'll give the game another chance once they tighten it up a bit and release a demo. Thanks for the updates thought. I was ready to write the game off.

Bump for gameday!

I apologize for being off-topic, but as one of the few groups I have successfully gamed with on PSN, I was wondering if any of you were planning on picking up Army of Two: 40th Day.

I was hoping to find someone to get in on the Co-Op multiplayer stuff and possibly enough people to start an extraction team. Id be looking to play a bit earlier than the RFG matches as the current time you all play is too late for me. I was thinking sometime between 5PM and 8PM EST.
Enough with the late arrivals on Mondays already!

I probably won't be on until 10pm again.

Mostly out of spite to that post above.
yes -^

Side note... I'd advise anyone who is going through kube withdrawal to watch AVGN episodes... Isn't quite the same amount of vulgarity... but it's close.

I will be making a rare Monday appearance, mainly because I will probably be too tired on Thursday to play after making a trip into Philly earlier in the day.

There's no such thing as off-topic in this thread!

Dunno who is going to be getting that game though. I could only find one person to even play the DEMO with.

LOL at trampoline dog...

That last Bagman was ridiculous! Wonder how we would fare if it was a Team Bagman match (same settings), but with the friendly fire turned on, eh? ;)

Being surly is a full-time job for DD. I heard he often works overtime.

So Excitebots tomorrow at the usual time? I'll check if anyone in the Wii thread still plays.

I'll be there! I want to replay the tutorial before then just to reacquaint myself with all of the moves.

How many people can fit in a PSN chatroom?

I shipped copies to DD and Mister B. today so let's hope they arrive quickly! FYI: you'll have to complete the tutorial before the game will let you play online, unfortunately.

From some post on the PS Blog, video chat can handle six people... So I guess that would mean six. There's always skype.

Until I get my 60 gb ps3 back or get another copy of RF.

Its either UC2 or MW2.

All my Uncharted 2 multiplayer profile stuff was saved...so that's good
oh btw im leaving fri for texas. wont be back for a week or so. probably cant play thurs either since ill be packing
Have fun. Guess we'll have to deal with not being sniped from long range somehow.
