CAG PS3 Unreal Tournament 3 Night [On Indefinite Hold]

It's easier to just read up on what happens online, that way you don't have to sit through a full 2 hours of what is usually crap.

How about a Saturday night fight that's a warmup for the coming monday night fight? Wednesday is also a good stopgap for the games too since there isn't really much on wednesdays anyways.

I didn't know any wrestling show had ever been good, ever, in the history of television ;)

Saturday has the same problem as Friday - I'm usually not at home playing games, I'm out doing stuff. Of course, I don't know how much I could commit to any day other than Mondays to begin with, so if everyone else was down then I'd say to ignore my minority objection.
 
Hey guys, I'm new to UT3. Something is really bugging me though. I'm trying to accept a Friend Invite but when I hit accept, it just makes me send a friend invite to that person. When I cancel out of that, the message I got from him is gone. He says to hit authorize or sync but nothing like that is there. How do I accept?
 
It's a glitch. It does accept after you accept though. So I wouldn't worry about it too much. After you do it once, just ignore the message.
 
Would you still get a trophy for beating Chapters in campaign even if you swap between Co-op and online play? What about Chapter swapping? I'm trying Insane campaign mode and it's well...INSANE. I got all the way to the Kargo map but now I'm stuck in a never ending CTF battle. Also, what would this mission be called when I search for it? It only shows maps, not missions.
 
well we played with titan last week. so something without that for this week. gametype doesnt matter to me.

how do you think we should go about getting new people? catchy thread title perhaps? or a complete OP overhaul? lemme know what you think.

Might not make it tonight. Been sick since Thursday, was in FL Friday and Saturday, and I'll be in DC Wednesday and Thursday. Between being busy and being sick, I feel like shit and might just go to sleep early.
 
I think all of the DLC is daunting to noobs. We should just require the stuff that's in the browser and Bombing Run.

Revamping the OP is probably a good call, too. I vote that you should do it, Josh. ;)

Maybe we need a permanent gameplay rotation? First Monday is CTF/VCTF, second Monday is Titan, etc. That might make it easier for people who are only interested in specific modes to plan to play with us (like Metaly, who I know favors War nights).

At the very least, I would suggest that we need to determine Monday's game mode on Friday so the OP title can be updated...and then we need to bump the hell out of the thread over the weekend to improve our visibility.

Let's not forget Campgrounds. If people can do all of Bombing Run, they can install Campgrounds!

But yes, the OP probably scares off many a potential player, when we probably don't even play a lot of those maps anymore, we've all been busy with the new modes.

We should have a veteran CAG night and maybe try to decide what maps are worth keeping and re-introduce them on a schedule to noobs? Or is that too much work?

I think a vet-night is a good idea. On that night we could play with any maps listed in the OP and maybe on the rest of the nights just the CBPs. Of course any BR nights would require those maps. I just want to get the OP size down to be less "scary" to potential new players.

I'm also not sure if a regular schedule is possible since not all of us always would want to play a specific gametype. I don't want to HAVE to play a gametype just because its on the schedule. It'd prolly be best just to see what people wanna do for the next week. Sorta like we do now.

If you didnt originally download them from the Mod Browser, then yes. But it's really easy to install things from the mod browser :). just be sure to delete the old ones first before downloading.

You forced the workaholic out, eh? I think it definitely needs an overhaul now that the mod browser is up, but still should keep some of the links (BR) since they're hosted on hone's server.

I'm up for a Capture the Flag VCTF or Greed without Titan game today.

ya vote a week before hand. Paco, since you're the main host, once we do decide on a gametype, I'll need your map rotation, etc so I can start keeping the OP up to date now. Just look in the OP and give me all the info needed for the map rotation, round length, etc. Thanks :)
 
yeah, well just thought I'd stop by and pass my hat off to joshr915. It's been tough making things happen on the weekdays since I started work. I'll keep the JAMs up on my server though. Hopefully when things settle down I'll be back. It's been fun.
 
ya, I don't want people thinking of me as the new "admin" per-say. I'm just keeping an eye on the thread. Game decisions and such are still open to everyones opinion.

Guys, I have UT3 in my PS3 right now and I've been downloading maps and stuff. I haven't played this game in forever and don't really have any mods or anything downloaded on there. Should I even try to play tonight, or just get caught up and try again some other week?

If I should get caught up first, what should I get and where?

The requirements are listed in the OP. But first and formost you should get the 2 Community Bonus map packs, and the 1 Community Bonus Character pack. After those, I would say you should focus on the CTF maps since we play CTF more than DM.

Paco what maps do you have on tonight, anything other than CBP?

EDIT: Seems there are a few customs loaded tonight..so you probably wouldnt make it in time :\ Dreary and Haco

Just ended right now. I was starting to feel sick again. So we closed today's game. Not a bad length at 90 minutes. Though sometimes it has been known to stretch to two hours or even two and a half.

I'll add you too. I always send almost everyone invites. Though some like Allah are always there before I send an invite.
